- Today I had to finish up my Easter decor. I struggled with matching my old Easter style and my new Easter style together yet again. This time with a tree. See how it all unfolds.

Old or handmade sounds beautiful to me! On Downton Abbey Mary’s fiancé, bewildered at the size of their first home, was speculating on how much furniture they would have to buy to fill it. Mary, with a sophisticated air replied, “Our lot doesn’t buy furniture we inherit”. I thought it was a fabulous motto as I have plenty of inherited furniture and it made me feel as though I would blend in with the upper class quite easily.😉 And everything was so well made back in the good old days.❤️

I think it looks great. The yellow is better. If you change anything it would be the bow. But it’s beautiful and you want have it up that long. Don’t worry, it’s beautiful.

I think it all looks very cute! My house is not very pastel either but I put out the pastels at Easter anyway and I think it's fine. I have seen people put cards or paper things on antique flower frogs to hold them in case you have any of those

I do, but I used all my frogs in my hutch. I am going to try to find some more because I love vintage ephemera.

Er mer gerd! I love your daughter’s chair!🥰 Your Easter tree looks perfect to me! Keep playing until you’re happy but it’s not too far out as a pastel-dominant EASTER piece-Lol! It’s purpose is for you, family and friends is to feel spring and the whimsy of the season, right? I really love the pastel “pop” that’s going on!🐣 On that note, I love the brown bunny ears “popping” out from the back of the tree!🐰🌲🥚 💕
I was hoping to be able to get the perfect combination of pastel and the colors of my home. I think I still have some tweeking to do but it's getting there.

That's what I like to do. I will sometimes change things long after I have set them up because I will sit there and look at it for a few days.

Just one more post! I can’t wait to see what happens to the tree!😊 I use a bit of tape (Scotch, duct…) to secure delicate items in precarious positions (Anna Lee, Blue Bunny). I love the way the yellow chicks and decor “popped” when you spanned the dining room from the living room!🐣 Maybe you should add a Christian cross to your tree vignette to remind you not to stress about it because your home is precious and you are blessed.😇✝️🙏🏻

I’ve decided my house isn’t a pastel kinda house and I’m embracing the bright colors for Easter. If it works, it works! I loved how you to took the bunny ear picks and put them in your tree. I would have never thought of that! Great eye!

Such a joy
You need some spiky floral frogs to stand up your vintage paper items on your shelf in your guest room. Also, if you are stuck for a way to decorate your throw pillow, try wrapping a shirt in the colour you want around it and tie the sleeves (if you google it you can find fun ways to tie it). Your tree is lovely,but if it bugs you, switch out the vintage cards for the wooden bunnies. Everything is precious 🐇🐇🐇
I do need some floral frogs. I have a couple but I was using them on my hutch. I'm always on the lookout for them.

So so cute! I have two suggestions,,,, Ralphie needs to go on top of the shelf in place of the wood plaque. I think the burlap bunny ears would be more visible on the mantle. That would be adorable.

Museum putty is great for securing things without causing damage, like your little eggs and that tin platter on top of you hanging shelf.
I don't know why I never remember to use the museum putty. I actually have some and it works so well. Going to putty those eggs down this weekend.

Becky you could paint the bows darker pink or just add some of those darker pink flowers in the center of the bow. I agree the bow is just too pastel for the tree. Love all the decor.

Everything is cute! For the living room table top tree...you can paint the yellow bunny a dark pink and the blue bunny a darker blue to match the mantle. You have yellow in the chicks so that may work more! For the bow, just do a neutral color etc (it's not that bad)!

It looks great, all of it! My home doesn't have a lot of pastels as well. I find that if I add in the neutral shades like, light brown wood tones it brings it all together. I notice you do all bunny decor and wonder why there isn't ant religious items?

Hi Tammy, I used to collect bunnies years ago so I have a lot of them in my collection that I have just had for years. I have bible verses and reminders of my faith on numerous signs and places in my home. My mantle usually has a handmade sign displayed year round with the words to "how great thou art". I don't think I have shared it yet but I also just made a big sign to go on my porch displaying Joshua 24:15. I love Jesus and I am happy to display a cross without any trepidation I just don't have any Easter decor with crosses. Maybe I will run across one that I love and add it to my display.
Put some polka dots on the bunny’s on the tree all the different colors that way it will blend

Hi Kathy, so the butcher block was purchased at Lowes. David installed it. I haven't had any issues with maintenance but that's mostly because he put some kind of sealant over it. My only issue is having to clean the crumbs out of the parts that are seamed together.

I agree, I definitely needed to take the ribbon off and replace it with the bunny ears.
You could destress your bunnies. And your bow is not rustic enough. I like how it looks this is just a suggestion. Your decorations are always wonderful.
I just took that ribbon off completely and replaced it with the brown bunny ears. I think that ribbon was too pink for the look I was trying to get.
Becky, your styles are too contrasting between the mantle and the tree. Kitschy and wildflower. I would, off camera, take the mantle apart and place fewer wild flowers with Ralphy and his buddies. Their colors won't be a problem, I think?
I will try that Kathleen, I will hopefully have it all together for next years tree because I certainly struggled making it work this year.
