    Wish we had fish big enough where I live to need a reel like that

      Down here we have some big sharks lurking around where people use 80 wides to catch the real big ones.

      @@MattsSaltwaterFishing That's awesome, spoonbill and gar are as big as it gets here. The world record spoonbill was caught 30 miles from me & a 254lb gar was caught in my state but nothing like you have

    Hell of a reel! Nothing like getting a reel from someone that took care of it. That reel looks brand damn new. Where did y’all get that drag set from and why no grease coating of the drag washers?

    • @MattsSaltwaterFishing
      @MattsSaltwaterFishing  4 роки тому

      We ordered it from Alan Tani (he has his own website) and he sends them greased will Cal's Drag Grease. You can't see the grease on it because Ruben rubbed it in the carbon fiber washers very well and the excess came off after disassembling and reassembling multiple times.

    • @MADFISHINREELS
      @MADFISHINREELS 4 роки тому +1

      Matt's Saltwater Fishing I see. It is tough to see that grease. That clicker is loud, but it surprisingly hard to hear when that wind is whipping and the surf is loud. Then again, I might sleep too hard. Lol

    • @MattsSaltwaterFishing
      @MattsSaltwaterFishing  4 роки тому +1

      @@MADFISHINREELS ROFLMAO yeah that is true. Yeah with the carbon fiber washers the grease soaks into them when you rub it in. We might have a guy stay up on rod duty just in case.

    How or where do I purchase a drag upgrade for sealine 900h

  • @johnnycortez46
    @johnnycortez46 4 роки тому +1

    There's a guy here in San Antonio selling one just like this I think. For 80 bucks.
    He only has one picture up and it's the position from the top down. And listed as a diawa 900 H.

    • @johnnycortez46

      I pulled the trigger and bought another one he had in pretty great shape. not a speck of rust or corrosion on it. paid 120.
      What website Did you find the Alan Tani kit.?
      i looked him up on Google but no where to buy this kit came up

    • @MattsSaltwaterFishing
      @MattsSaltwaterFishing  4 роки тому

      Sounds like a good buy. I think we got this 1 for right around $80 on a "best offer". We came across the drag upgrade on 1 of the message boards (I don't recall which one). You can send him an email alantani@yahoo.com and ask if he still has the drag upgrade for the 900H.

      i just spooled it with Jbraid 8 strand 100lb.
      1000yds. I have never used that braid before period or any other type of braid for that matter. So hope that 1 works well. It's strictly gonna be used for beach land fishing only. No jetti maybe the pier but that's a big maybe

      @MattsSaltwaterFishing  4 роки тому

      @@MADFISHINREELS ROFLMAO yeah the Avets are very nice. We compared the 2 and it's just a lot easier to reel in with the Avet ESPECIALLY with the low gear. But for a guy on a budget the a senator or Sealine is hard to beat.

    How much drag u think it has with the upgrade?

    • @MattsSaltwaterFishing
      @MattsSaltwaterFishing  4 роки тому

      We measured it at 20lbs max. According to Alan Tani the ones he did got a bit more than that. For what we are using it for 20lbs of drag is enough.
