*VS KIWIEARS QUINTET:* As for the Quintet it’s going to be more more resolving and pull out more detail, and follows your traditional harman/df but without the scoop, unlike the Nova and Chopin. Likewise, vocals also follow a similar traditional presentation with the ear gain at 3K, a little more open and laid back, but less immersive and doesn’t scale as well. Low-end wise the Quintet is not as boomy, but not quite on the same level as the LM either in terms of slam and reverb, so just decent bass... although the treble is a bit metallic to me maybe because of the PZT drivers along with the 2 small peaks, and more sharp and less dreamy/airy compared to the PULA. Even though it doesn’t have a big 10K peak I wouldn’t say the Quintet is smoother either since it feels slightly grainy at times (PZT), but not peaky and sharp on energetic tracks vs the PULA. Overall though, if you don’t mind the slight metallic timbre the Quintet will be the better all-rounder at around $200, especially for genres like pop & edm, but it just won’t give you that same dreamy feeling on certain genres like the Pula does (I still like the tuning of the Pula more).
I don’t get any metallic timbre on my quintet, maybe it’s a fit thing with the pzt? Ik bone conduction can be terrible if you don’t have the perfect fit….mest series can sound like mids in a can.

I love your ranking list getting updated at almost every vid now lol. Right now i have 3 things in mind, LM, Hype 4 and eventually B3D which i'm really curious about.
I'm listening to my unit for more than 15 days now and I would say the tuning is VERY mature, certainly the best I tried in the 200 price range.. very anti-shout approach, great for loud listening with a beautiful timbre to top it off. A true side grade from the Harman sets, an a more natural presentation. The only nitpick for me is the DD definition (it lack some nuances and strength) and the small staging, it sound more 'at the center of the head' than I was expecting. (I don't remember my Performer5 sounding that small-stage). Thankfully it doesn't affect much the performance in games unless I have peoples coming from the front and back at once. The 4 BA are tuned to perfection imo and I would love to see a isobaric config paired with it, so 2DD+4BA.

omg, I just got the pula 02 today and I just LOVE the tuning. Prefered it to IEMS costing over $500usd. Very musical, engaging, and inoffensive sound signature. It's just got enough detail and resolution that doesn't make me crave for more! Very good soundstage, very good bass quantity/quality. This is like the HD650 of the IEMs when the HD650 is properly driven but you don't need super expensive amp or source for it to sound good. What I mean is the HD650 is relatively inexpensive compared to modern day TOTL prices. With the right equipment, the HD650 can get really close to TOTL sound without spend $$$ for TOTL sound. This would be the PA02. You won't get totl resolution but it's enough resolution and detail where you don't need more of it!
I picked up the Pula PA01 & PA02 on Tone Deaf Monk's review recommendation. Both are good for their price points. I find the PA02 excellent with fantastic vocals and immersion.

I am using it as a dongle - the LHDC is a ldac Knick off codec, better than Apple Lossless. It is supposed to be a hi res Bluetooth transmitter but does not work on iOS. It blows my DACs away in sound and the secular just opened up and are so awesome

The Pula PA02 is a banger. Thank-you for this review. ToneDeafMonk and your review convinced me to buy this. I also bought an SIMGOT EM6L. I prefer the Pula. As far as the review, it is too busy in listening to it, it is hard to keep up with what IEM you are talking about, which translates to a wall of information overload. The Pula is a "sidegrade." to which IEM?! You discuss like ten or more IEM's in this video.
Mmm. I like the graph. Apart from that pick on treble. I wish one day an iem will do an iem with 3 holes in the grill with 3 thin screwing filters to change only the frequency you want inside the metal cap of noozle. If you day you do an iem, buzz me.
PA02 is basically the same as the CKLVX by Myer Audio. Except the case art and cables are different. Basically a "Bro can I copy your HW" scenario. Dunno who was first though.
Dunu Glacier has 1DD4BA4EST and its graph looks like a bass boosted Prestige LTD. The price is also very closed. I wonder if it sounds as good as Prestige sounds🤔
It's a bit different I'd say, LTD isn't scooped + not sub-bass focused, mid-bass more filled and less bassy overall - the Glacier graph's very similar to the Variations
Based on how you describe the 02 I'm surprised you don't like the SA6 MK2 which seems to be very similarly tuned. I imagine the MK2 has better technicalities generally except maybe the 02 would have better bass being a dynamic? Then again the SA6 MK2 bass lacking in the way I would expect from a BA... It's better than expected. (While I'm having this stream of consciousness.... Let me just say the Thieaudio Prestige LTD is the king of iems IMHO) But I'm keen to hear if your experience with the 02 makes you rethink your take on the SA6 Mk2
Lately I've noticed that I'm being mindly sensible to hardness and sibilance especially in my right ear, maybe it's clogged or something, guess I'll go have it checked. This is a great sets and really aesthetic too but a smoother upper ends one might suits my library and ears better

I love the driver config on those, with a bit of EQ they could sound more bass heavy while taming down the upper treble. Their price made me question how they comptete to the likes of Hype2, P5. My Chopin sounds a bit too dry and artificial because their tuning separate clearly the bass from the mids while bringing forward the treble. (that set don't volume-scale well and can sound too intense and grainy at upper volumes specially coming from the Performer5)
@@jayyaudio I'm sure I would love the tuning of the LM too but I value fit as much as tuning nowadays that's why the semi custom shells are tempting me more. Rare are the sets that can stay in the ears after waking up from bed and not creating discomfort during night listening.

Nah. Seeaudio Yume 2 will eat this alive. This thing has cheap aftermarket BA's, it's not even Knowles. Yume 2 gives you Sonion for mids and Knowles tweeter and better tuning. This set is using cheap drivers with a pretty faceplate. Tea 2 can also be had for $200 these days. This meme of the week will fade pretty quickly. Tuning on Nova is a big no. Chopin and Nova also using cheap drivers.
@@jayyaudio with upgraded drivers which means it's significantly better. It's not using $2 ba's. What are you actually getting other than a pretty faceplate? Not much. Something like Yume 2 for the same price or less trades blows with Hype 2 and Tea 2. Drivers matter. Nova, Pula, and Chopin are using cheap drivers and banking a large profit.

Nah the peak doesn’t work well with energetic tracks, try the EA500LM and grab the tuning kit (checkout my review)
If you still have the p8 it takes eq very well.

can you compare the 02 versus the Cinno? i quite like the Cinno and graphs very similarly to the Pula.
Cinno overall is more balanced, vocals are better on the 02

Nah. Seeaudio Yume 2 will eat this alive. This thing has cheap aftermarket BA's, it's not even Knowles. Yume 2 gives you Sonion for mids and Knowles tweeter and better tuning. This set is using cheap drivers with a pretty faceplate. Tea 2 can also be had for $200 these days. This meme of the week will fade pretty quickly. Tuning on Nova is a big no. Chopin and Nova also using cheap drivers.

@@jayyaudio with upgraded drivers which means it's significantly better. It's not using $2 ba's. What are you actually getting other than a pretty faceplate? Not much. Something like Yume 2 for the same price or less trades blows with Hype 2 and Tea 2. Drivers matter. Nova, Pula, and Chopin are using cheap drivers and banking a large profit.

I would, but some sidegrades would be the CKLVX/PULA/Cadenza 4, things that sound different enough to be justified
