That’s actually a Harpy. Sirens when homer first wrote about them didn’t describe their appearance. They were just as haunting voices coming from the sea. Wasn’t till 400 years later they were mixed with Harpy’s. And 3/5 hundred years later mixed with mermaids. The best depiction of them that fits their appearance closer to its original appearance would be from the cartoon “sinbad” they one with Brad Pitt and Michelle Pfeiffer.

They would sing to lure sailors onto their island where they would eat them. There's even a class of aquatic mammals called sirenia named after them that includes manatees and dugongs so it's really fascinating how the siren myth has expanded to include mermaids and you'll find really contradicting info nowadays. There is an ancient vase in the British museum depicting the sirens from the myth, you'll find it if you look up siren vase. This isn't even a big deal really, your video is still great it's just mythology and there's always overlap and different interpretations. Most people think of mermaids when they hear sirens so you're super valid. 😊
