@Knightmessenger BC got the ball back with a minute remaining because we went 3 and out and the Eagles used all their timeouts. Like I mentioned in the description, Chuck Winters muffed a punt on the last play of the first quarter giving BC the ball at our own 20 and Hasselbeck threw a touchdown a couple plays later.
@Ooftyman Yeah we will. Devin Funchess is coming into next year's recruiting class. 6'4 210 lbs coming out of high school. He'll develop into a Tim Massaquoi type. Koger was a great leader and all, but he didn't have a coach that developed him well enough to play TE the way you've seen Michigan in the past. This what I find ironic about the entire Rich Rod era, was Michigan's pro style offense was more diverse. A TE just opens up your playbook so much more.
@Ooftyman I have no doubt that Hoke will use the tight end in the future because it's part of his offense. We've had some great tight ends over the years. My favorite was Bennie Joppru.
After Michigan stopped BC on 4th down with 2 minutes left, how did BC get the ball back with a minute remaining. Also didn't Michigan muff a punt deep in their end sometime in the 2nd half? But Michigan intercepted a pass that was tipped by the opposing receiver? Or am I thinking of another game?
I never understood why David Bowens left Michigan after leading the team in sacks(I think it was 10 or 10.5). Does anybody know why he left after the 1996 season?
One thing I'd like to see Hoke's offense do more of, especially with Denard's occasionally erratic throwing, is to USE THE TIGHT END! There's something lacking in Michigan football without a big, burly TE with soft hands...

This was a very wet game ! We did not notice or care. Way to much action, never left my seat. My greatest south end zone game. Go Blue 🏈
I have wanted to see the replays of the first Michigan touchdown for 15 years. It was even better than I remember it.
OMG, that hit Jarrett Irons put on the BC RB at 2:16 was all time!! Layin the hat!!

@ahmad312
I hope Funchess turns into more Jermichael Finley and less Tim Massaquoi.
I think we're really going to miss Koger's blocking.

My first Michigan Game! ( of many)
What a great game.

I was there! We got rain ponchos.
Man, how good was Jarrett Irons? One of my favorite Wolverines ever. Thanks WH!
Get a room

Wow Charles Woodson as a sophomore that's wierd to see.

Driesbach had some good passes in the first half.
This was my first Michigan football game! Apparently I fell asleep though haha and my dad never let me hear the end of it.
@WolverineHistorian Absolutely. Joppru was great. I always liked Jerame Tuman. Hahhaha.
Anyone else agree that Chris Floyd was a freakin bouse?
how strange that Remy had such an awful game. He wasn't the greatest of all time, but he was usually money.
What an ugly win. This was definitely not one of Carr's better teams. Badly lacking talent on offense.
Big Scotty D Dreisbach, aka Denard's uncle
