Skipping school and heading into the forbidden billiard hall with my cousin (with Dad's loose change in MY pocket) to play this Masterpiece sure brings back a lot of memories.

The term "wedgehead" refers to the shape of the backbox where the score reels are. This was a design originated for Gottlieb pinball machines, mainly through the 1960's and early 70's. When multiplayer games became more popular, this style pretty much died out. Williams Electronics games used a "reverse wedgehead" design for a period of time where the wedge is inverted from what is seen in the Gottlieb games.

I once hit all the cards and all the special lit on 4 holes and got a lot of replays. Very simple to get special lit. I once played for 3 hours on one coin. Superb machine.

Love the video. Cruel game at times, but not as cruel as effing Buckaroo! No wonder Elton John lost out to Daltrey! I'm off to play Gigi now which must surely rate as one of the most addictive games ever on the face of the planet. Think your vids are fab, keep up the good work. I might start doing some of my own with a slightly different slant!

Really a great machine, wonderful condition too! Thanks for going over the game and history portion as well as the humor factor.

One of my 5 Fave games. It was a physical experience. Get everything lined up and the "special knock" would go crazy with the center action.

My parents would drop me off at the Harrah's Arcade in Lake Tahoe around 1977 and they had this machine.

@HmongZboy there are some games that have been associated with and had features for gambling, mostly from the 30's through the 50's. There are also bingo games which look like pinball machines but are actually quite different. No flippers and usually about 25 holes where you try to get the balls to line up in a pattern, generally for free games which were traded in for cash or prizes.

I've got a Pleasure Isle with that same 4 hole progression feature and if you somehow get it out of adjustment, you'll spend a whole week trying to get it working right again. I see on your K & Q the 3rd hole is not kicking right. If from wear, the lower curved edge of the kicker finger has a sharp edge, take a fine-tooth rat tail file and carefully dress down, with a little luck, this should cure it. Or try a dab of pinball grease on the pivot, make sure the grease gets worked in. One other thing, make sure the floor is level and the leg adjusters are all set the same

This wasn’t featured in Microsoft Pinball Arcade despite having all of Gottlieb’s pinballs included.

Pinball Arcade had only like six Gottlieb games and none of them were that good (maybe HH? Cue Ball as abysmal).

If you knew what that movie Tommy is really about, and what it's supposed to mean, let me tell you, it's a major disgrace to the sport of pinball.
