@@nyanjinyanyanyanji1935 From what I gathered, language barrier, ping and that her rank would make her really difficult to include as a team member. ShibuHal placed her skills at 10pts even though Axel tried arguing for her since she hasn't been playing much recently.

imo fans should focus more on the happy things that happened. We are experiencing a huuuge W here, HoloEN and NijiEN are in a team, that Selen and Axel gets to debut in Vsaikyou, 1st ever EN team in the tourney as well and so many more. We probably should show the JP bros we are thankful and very supportive cause all I see in the net are rants about their points and ping, and I don’t think that helps the team. I say all of this with good intention, If we want more of this in the future something like that. Let’s just all enjoy the tourney with them as they enjoy it too 😊
HoloSTARS Don't have that trouble to collab with Nijisanjii in general (both from JP and EN), but Holo myth and council they do, but it was because of management, now, i guess they can have more opportunities to collab since pomutori happened

EN fandoms for both niji and holo are pretty toxic especially those who lurking on twitter to immediately cancel anyone at any times. that's why none of EN vtubers from holo and niji take the risk playing hogwart legacy.

She was kinda sad that with 10 points nobody will pick her, also she doesnt know japanese and she even was trying to get in but never got the change so Axel really fought for her position, even if that means that the last person is just 3 points
Also she talked about herself trying to sneak and play with JP members in Overwatch just to practice a lil bit, so I'm happy that a girl from niji and a boy from stars are in this team
You love to see it. Hololive, Nijisanji, Vshojo, indie: doesn’t matter. Seeing them extend a hand to each other is a beautiful thing. There shouldn’t be any territoriality, both for talents and fans.

There are other players who tried to negotiate for lower points but failed like Lauren who is also 10 pts
she was in top 500 predator before she joined niji and she also have natural very good fps sense. She’s top 500 ranked on overwatch 2 recently. Even Kuzuha called her out for her skills on the Pubg tourney. The thing is she doesn’t even have time to grind to be serious about it. If she have time to get super sweaty she probably could be so much higher on rank too.

Selen make Fortnite and APEX wacheable, more when she is in collabs because she doesn't take the game serious and try to mess with her collabs partners just to add fun to the game instead. Like the jokes and other things.
Selen still being 10 points when she doesn't play much Apex and is on NA ping is rough.
I mean Axel and selen got their point fair, I think Master got 9 point but Axel got 8 and preds got 10+ point but Hal put selen as master and give her 10 for her skill. There is not deducting point based on ping as shibuyahal said in his stream

Axel said they can't complain about ping to get deducted point, because originally vsaikyou is for Japanese vtuber, so it's their own risk if they want joint vsaikyou

I hope EN management learned that they should not be too serious when dealing with VSaikyo. It is less serious than CR cup after all. Also many are depending on how you negotiate with Hal, especially on point system (if you see, many participants used their lowest rank to get lower their points too). However, I am really excited for Axel-Selen team. It is unfortunate that Magni can't be the 3rd member but I still think this team will be fun because they will mainly talk in English.
VSaikyo's points use the participants' highest rank in APEX they don't negotiate that. it's just that many participants never really try to rank higher in APEX. so even if in theory their rank/points should have been higher than what Vsaikyo is using right now, ShibuHal can't really do anything about that since the participants themselves never try ranking that hard. that's why many teams feel like point scams
Hal already being lenient enough with Axel. Normally, Selen would be 11 points since She's an Ex-Pred, and Axel are definitely not an 8-pointer. Axel's team wouldn't be feasible w/o Hal's compromising.
Is there any evidence to suggest management cares how serious they take a tournament like this? It doesn't really seem like their job to push them to take an FPS tournament seriously. It's more likely they would reign them or make sure they're not stressing themselves out.
the rules is the highest rank since season 6 i think, you cant negotiate, Astel negotiate in last turnament with an exception but now i think he wont receive any negotiation again.
@@ronaldt2339 I would say Axel and Selen both got too many points tbh. Axel is nowhere near his peak, I wouldn't even say he's the best Apex player in Tempus now considering how cracked Magni's aim is. Meanwhile, Selen will be playing with 200 ping and it has been 3 years since she was pred. Axel having more points than Towa in their current form and same points as Kuzuha is pretty questionable.

Gotta give it up for Tempus. They had an uphill battle as soon as they were announced, but I think they've more than proven themselves with this constant push for "HoloEN x NijiEN" that even they're senpai have been fighting for behind the scenes.

I'm gotta put this out, Apex Legends is fun when the streamers have fun, and despite some of the limits being put out by ShibuHal, at the end of the day, the VSaikyo tournament isn't counted as one of those career-progression tournaments that impacts how you perform in other official tournaments (not that the majority of VTubers who are playing in this tournament are doing so, anyway), so treat it like a Red Bull exhibition game.

Vsaikyo minimum rank for participation is Platinum 4.
Ollie, while she really enjoys Apex, still is very in the beginner side that would take a while for her to go to Plat4, even more in HoloFes month.

@@GoldRichness they judge the point system by ranked history of the person. Thus why Selen is 10 points even though she barely played ranked last few seasons. She got predator in the past and got masters once when she became a vtuber.
@@GurenSan no, the minimum point you will receive is 3pt for plat 4 and lower. There is no minimum rank requirement to join.

I had trouble understanding it too, lol. I think Axel was basically encouraged to make a team with JP players, but couldn’t ask them to join his team, UNLESS they showed interest first. Since his staff was willing to invite JP players on his behalf, I guess that’s also considered courteous. However, the JP people he wanted were already taken, and teams were about to be announced, so then staff let him recruit non-JP people (Selen, Magni, undisclosed Plat 4 player) himself.
If Axel tweets to a rando "hey man, join my team", it's potentially super awkward and hard to refuse even if that person really wants to refuse / can't make it, plus there's room for fans to misunderstand/overreact and "cancel"/hate someone. If it's someone Axel already has a working relationship with, much easier to say "sorry man, not today" and not have it spiral out of control, or if manager is the point of contact, it's less personal and it's not a message coming directly from Axel, it's more "On behalf of Hololive Productions, we're inquiring regarding your interest in participating in an event...", so that's also easier to refuse. Obviously Axel doesn't have to publicly tweet it, but that's probably the general type of scenarios they're trying to avoid with this approach.
@@klondikesaloon7026 nah it's just pure bs. All of JP players do the same thing where they tweet out their recruitment and they go through their DM to pick their teammates. You don't need to personally DM anyone to invite them, let that person come to you.

It's less which, and more the culture. If he hasn't collabed or interacted with someone before, to have him suddenly ask them to join a tourney with him is looked down upon. He had to go through more proper channels this time around, which will hopefully relax after this tourney as more networking will happen.

All designated leaders post an open invite and just choose from whoever reaches out to them so im guessing not many jp players reached out to axel. I guess it’s understandable since ppl likely assumed he’ll be teaming up with EN talents. (i just woke up when i saw this clip so i couldnt process it properly)

Selen doesn't grind rank that much and still was given 12 points before she negotiated, I imagine dtto would be around the 12-14 point since she is constantly masters/pred every season so it would be impossible for both of them to be on the same team.

Can someone explain the "Point System" to me? What does it matter? And how does it make a difference?
Each participant or candidate is assigned points according to the highest rank they got in Ranked (+ other factors like current skill). So the higher your rank is, the more points you have. This way they can't have teams made out of 3 Masters (8+ points each) or teams of 3 Platinum (around 3-5 points), it would be too unbalanced. Each team must have a maximum of 21 points (previously 18) between their 3 players. Selen had trouble with it because she was a Predator and had like 11 points, so it was nearly impossible for her because of her points and also the language barrier, since its a JP Tourney. Axel negotiated to reduce her current points to 10 considering all 3 of them have like 200+ ping in JP servers. That's basically it.

The point system is used as a way to balance the teams, so no one is stacked with full masters/predator players. Their point worth is determined by their ranks from past seasons. The reason why Selen was initially turned down was because she hit Predator rank 3-4 years ago, when it was considered top 500 players. From my understanding, ShibuyaHal thought that such a previously high ranked player could disrupt player balance, but Axel negotiated with him to have her join, and they ended up agreeing on making her worth 10 points. The point limit for this VSaikyo tournament is 21 points, and with Axel worth 8 and Selen worth 10, that leaves them with only 3 points to spare for a third teammate; to my knowledge, Platinum 4 and lower ranked players are the only people Axel can recruit, since they are only worth 3 points.

If there's no point system to keep the balance, every strong player will be gathered in one team and new players can't get the opportunity because no one will invite them. it's not like he has a choice if it was Apex and a tourney though. Who would even be choices here? Amelia, Mumei, Ollie, Anya, Reine, Irys, Iofi? I'm not too aware if any of the HoloEN girls enjoy shooters, let alone get competitive with it. Some of them are cracked though, and one of them is pretty much lady luck incarnate.
Did anyone in EN even play Apex like semi regularly? Idk about off stream, but on stream the EN girls are not really known to play Apex lol, or even ID girls, you could say Ollie, but she's Gold at best so i don't think picking her is the right choices
