if i learned piano, guitar, and more about vocals, and possibly maybe drums I could do that instead cuz it's easier, I'd do it with the help of like one or two other people, cause you can do the bass drum, guitar/bass and vocals all at the same time if you try hard enough
acoustic sessions and private shows are supposed to be laid back and low energy. it's more of a chill time than a full blown performance. that's what i love about them so much
mico holy crap! Someone that actually understands concerts... everyone else is probably crying in this comment section about how "Oh my god that crowd is so dead omg omg".... I hate that so much. It's nice to be able to actually hear the band rather than the drunk shirtless 300lb wasted drunk hillbilly who's never even heard the song but "sings"/ mumble screams as loud as he can anyway..
7:14 is gold. That smile that follows on Rivers' face is very genuine. They're havin' a good ol' time here living their best Weezer life.
Scott must really love his P Bass. I haven’t found a live performance where he doesn’t use it.
He uses an acoustic bass in the NPR Tiny Desk session.
He used a black Rickenbacker when recording OK Human and played it during the live version they did at Walt Disney Hall.
I prefer this over the actual recording of Island In The Sun

This was taped on May 10th I think. Last night Rivers said new music coming 6/12. Now that could be a single off the Black Album or it could be their cover of Hold the Line for all I know.

have you ever been to a private showing? Intimate concerts are generally very relaxed and just everyone enjoying without making a scene for the fans.

@@JimBob_Joe77 no, that's why they haven't sounded like pinkerton and blue, being weezer they will always 'sound' like weezer. you can say they dont sound like classic weezer, and you dont like the direction theyre going into, which i would disagree with you on, but the absence of matt sharp probably has less to do with that as matt himself didn't even like playing bass in weezer.
