Fun fact: Yuki Kaji, Eren's voice actor actually hurt his throat in this episode from all the screaming so he had to take some time off. Iseyama gave Yuki Kaji full control over the scene and they would animate after how he voiceacted. He nailed it to say the least. He perfectly represents how Eren is feeling in the moment.
@@T.Law4 he isn't as involved as to attend every single one but he does attend yes, like the scene you mentioned. but in this one particular scene that was araki's decision not isayama's is all I'm saying
Another fun fact: Iseyama has said in interviews that he had trouble writing for Eren until the second season and the thing that made it clear for him was the way Yuki Kaji portrayed him.
The first time I watched Hannes's death years ago, when he was looking at Eren and Mikasa that way, I thought it was because he was disappointed or something, like "wow, really? You couldn't save me?" but after rewatching it a few times I realized... He is not disappointed, he is relieved. Back then, Hannes was a drunk who didn't take things seriously and when the smiling titan was going to eat Carla, he pussied out and ran away. He has beating himself up inside for years for being a coward at that moment and not saving his friend's wife, so he decided to change. He stopped drinking and started bettering himself and then what happens? The smiling titan shows up again and is threatening Mikasa and Eren once more, it's the perfect opportunity to redeem himself, but then... He loses. That's when he realized that back then, on that day, he made the right choice. If he in his absolute best stood no chace against the smiling titan, then there was no way he would've won at his lowest. Not only Carla, but Mikasa and Eren would also have died had he not run and now he can die in peace with not as many regrets.

Ymir is one of the most underrated characters of the show. Love how observant she is. But once the guys catch up, I suspect even Cannon will like her upon rewatching season 2. Everything between her and Historia is great. I loved how she became important out of nowhere -- it makes you pay more attention to all the characters. Yeah it kind of surprised me they'd such a hard time with Ymir. I guess it's because she's a wild card and doesn't side with the protagonist immediately (and changes her mind quickly), and when you're watching for the first time that can be frustrating.
@@SusieBlup i think they didn't understand her character well, which is comprehensible since it's the first time they're watching aot and there's plenty of things to process.

That scene where eren is crying and screaming and laughing at the same time, after Hannes' death... that is simply the best scene ever for me in terms of voice acting. This is THE TIME of this voice actor for me (Yuri Kaji), and that's why he already won so many awards (and maybe one more this year... on the next crunchyroll awards)
Ymir is such a great character and her story moves me every time, she's so underrated By going with them she just wanted to give back what she stole, she was already grateful for the second life she was given. At the same time she's not truly living for herself as she says, nor she's selfish as she would like to appear, all she did was to protect Historia and she even left her despite loving her, followed them knowing what's expecting her.
Yes, there also other moments she had an eye to take care of others then herself. It came off as a mean way to Sasha, but she was saying to stop being something she is not, and be herself. To talk in her accent, also with Conny. He was getting distraught that, the titian could be his mom, and she made a rude joke so his mind could not think about that. She knows what punishment they would get, and when she went through it, she had no one on her side. Her going back to them, was saying "hey I'm here with you." this finale is a rollercoaster of emotions! and Kaji Yuki (Eren's voice actor) is next level 🔥 there is even a "fun fact" about this episode saying that he almost - or he actually did, i don't quite remember - lost his voice after he recorded Eren's breakdown. No wonder he's my favorite voice actor. I can't wait for the review and season 3!
YES! I've been waiting for this moment and trying so hard not to say something like "just wait for the season finale, in episode 12 you'll see" etc. My jaw fucking dropped when I first saw this. I had the Reiner/Bertholt betrayal spoiled for me, so this was my second "holy shit, wtf" moment after Eren coming back as a Titan, so many years later. I love watching this playlist. Brings me back to before I knew everything. Damn miss those days.. the mystery and the questions the anime gave me are second to none. What an amazing series. I doubt anything will ever top Attack on Titan. Whenever I want to rewatch it I find myself doing it through your channel. I guess the reactions remind me of myself and how I felt while watching it.. Thanks guys!
That whole scarf-talk, the punch, the titan rushing towards the smiley titan...the music setting in... this scene gives me chills every time i see it! ~ ♥
Yuki Kaji is so absolutely goated. I'll never get tired of hearing him in any work, but I think his most impressive stuff is as Eren, especially in this episode. He sells the character so well
Episode 12 of season 2 is imo the most underrated episdode in all of attack on titan. It's near perfection and the rewatch value it has is insane. The reason that Eren didn't kiss Mikasa was because he didn't want to give up. Mikasa thought they were both going to die so she confessed her feelings to Eren as a last resort, but my man Eren NEVER GIVES UP. Also RIP Hannes. He was like a second dad to Mikasa, Armin and Eren.
11:55 I dont think they knew Eren was the Coordinate prior to this episode, as in the forest Reiner was telling Bertoldt that if "Eren was not the Coordinate, having Christa would make the search easier" or smth like that. Rather, it seems that they were trying to gather anyone who cld transform, hoping that one of them was the Coordinate. Also in this episode Reiner was like "why did it fall in the worst hands possible" so yea they didnt exactly know who was the Coordinate
Yo Mckay's(?) deadpan stare after the big climax of the episode had me DYINGGGGG. It just shows how excited he is for his friends to really see the full AOT story
This season and this last episode especially was just mind blowing. That scream was one of my favorite scenes of Season 2. But I honestly can’t wait for you to start Season 3 and the second part of it in particular! You’re about to experience some of the greatest moments in all of fiction. There’s a reason it’s my favorite season of the series …
Ok I'm gonna be on my ymir soap box again because she's my fav character. Ymir's whole thing is that she says one thing but does another. She says she wants to live for herself, but literally every action we've seen her take was for someone else. When she made fun of Connie for thinking his mom was a titan, it seemed mean but she was really trying to cheer him up. When she told Sasha to stop talking overly polite, it seemed rude but she was really telling Sasha to be herself. When she was angry at Edwin in this episode, she still jumped in and saved him from a titan. In her backstory we saw she tried to sacrifice herself to save all the people following her. And even now she's doing everything to protect Historia. And in the final moments of the episode we see that she sacrificed herself for Reiner and Bertholt, just because she felt it was the right thing to do.
remember the 1st episode, I was hating hannes so much, but by the end of 2nd season, he became 1 of my favourite characters and his death was sOOOooOo painful gosh the moment when he looked back at eren and mikasa breaks my heart every time RIP hannes
I always comment this when reactors reach this episode because even after watching the series so many time, i didn't think about it until I read a comment pointing out: Hannes dying after facing that Titan, after the years of training after Shiganshina incident, just proves that he made the correct choice by no facing it back then because the forth of them would have ended dying
1:06 Eren's gonna turn into a colossal titan XD 5:00 Bro you know it's good when the reaction is pure silence, just holding their breath. That whole scene was so intense! 6:36 Carter having existential crisis lol
The amount of times i watched the scene where eren crylaugh is absurd and I still cry every time. You can really feel the emotion in his voice. Yuki Kaji is the best
" He's controlling them? How?! How is he controlling them? " And that's the best part about this show. It's not an asspull. There is a very SPECIFIC reason why he can do that. You'll see later. It's not some Deus Ex power he awoke just because Mikasa gave him a speech, all will be explained.
AOT is just so good! This is one of my favourite episodes, its so emotional. Great reactions as always! Looking forward to the S3 reactions, it starts off a bit slow in my opinion but has the best second half you could ever imagine. You guys are gonna freak out and its gonna be amazing 😁
A cute little detail during the scene where mikasa is talking to eren after hannes death is; Mikasa looks more beautiful in Eren's point of view! And you can see it in other scenes as well.
I'm... not okay! Rewatching this finale hits so different, I forgot how much information they gave Also can't wait for the season review, hearing your thoughts and predictions is always so interesting I'm so hyped!
Its sad they don’t grasp Ymir’s character. She feels like she shouldn’t be alive, before, and even now, she ‘stole’ a fake life as a kid pretending to be royalty, and was punished. Then ‘stole’ a new life eating Reiner’s comrade. She feels guilty for living, hence why she helps them to escape at the end. A life for a life.
sometimes I forget how wrapped up I was in this show. It was all that was on my mind, everytime, consuming episode after episode but the way these 2 are confused reminds me that and it's so freaking nostalgic
I love that as soon as Hannes showed up, 1 newbie was like "Yeah! Redemption time!" and the other put his hands in has face like "No, not you too Hannes."
So, now that they've confirmed about Ragako village, remember that scene in the castle of more titans coming in, them playing with each other biting one's ear off? They were probably the kids in the village...
What a rollercoaster of emotions this finale has been. I definitely enjoyed in their moments of depression and sadness. AoT does such a great job at creating these moments of hopelessness for this cast of characters whom we've grown to attach to, then it finally works out in the end for us.
okay but mckays face is one of my absolute faves hes like ooooo sweet summer children xddd also the difference of reactons (between the ones who havent seen it and the ones who have) to erwin getting his arm bitten off was incredible, i thoroughly enjoyed rewatching that

attack on titan is definitely a show you have to watch over and over again to get all the details. I have rewatched season 1-3 about 7-10 times and I am still learning new things every time I rewatch it.
So excited for you to see S3. Episode 1 is really memorable with just one word uttered by THE CAPTAIN. Well the entire season is amazing. Honestly, the entire show is a masterpiece.
dude I love how Mckay? I think that's the guy who look right at the camera everytime a big event or something important is coming that's just so funny lmao
We never get used to the snowball of emotions that watching Shingeki brings, you know, this was the first time I saw Cannon and Carter truly sad by Hannes' death. I think it's beautiful 'cause it's their first anime, and you can see that they even forget that there's a camera recording by their faces, can you see this clearly . The soundtrack doesn't help either haha It's wonderful ❤️ best anime to show someone, ever.
Ooh!! Can't WAIT for the review!!! That'll be good! This season is so trippy. Lol. I'm excited about the questions it'll make you start asking... aw man... season 3 here we go!!!!!

Yess I've been waiting for this episode! Such an amazing scene and voice acting from Eren!!
Eren crying/laughing always gets me. 🥲
last two episodes are absolute CHAOS. lol, I actually teared up on eren breaking down scene.
This season and this last episode especially was just mind blowing. That scream was one of my favorite scenes of Season 2. But I honestly can’t wait for you to start Season 3 and the second part of it in particular! You’re about to experience some of the greatest moments in all of fiction. There’s a reason it’s my favorite season of the series …
get chills every time at that scene no matter how many times i rewatch it
Ok I'm gonna be on my ymir soap box again because she's my fav character.
And in the final moments of the episode we see that she sacrificed herself for Reiner and Bertholt, just because she felt it was the right thing to do.
remember the 1st episode, I was hating hannes so much, but by the end of 2nd season, he became 1 of my favourite characters and his death was sOOOooOo painful gosh
the moment when he looked back at eren and mikasa breaks my heart every time
RIP hannes
Mckay just smiling during the most traumatizing moments cause he knows how much emotion its about to bring 😭😭 I know that smile
I always comment this when reactors reach this episode because even after watching the series so many time, i didn't think about it until I read a comment pointing out:
Hannes dying after facing that Titan, after the years of training after Shiganshina incident, just proves that he made the correct choice by no facing it back then because the forth of them would have ended dying
The title is "Scream" and it sure had us all screaming 😭 We'll never forget you, Hannes
1:06 Eren's gonna turn into a colossal titan XD
5:00 Bro you know it's good when the reaction is pure silence, just holding their breath. That whole scene was so intense!
6:36 Carter having existential crisis lol
Estava ansiosa pelo react desse episódio 😄 Adorando acompanhar vocês e ouvir suas teorias! 🇧🇷
EREN IS SUCH A ROMANTIC IN A WAY
just got home from work and the s2 finale is up.. thank yall for the entertainment,, always looking forward to new uploads!!!!!
The amount of times i watched the scene where eren crylaugh is absurd and I still cry every time. You can really feel the emotion in his voice. Yuki Kaji is the best
" He's controlling them? How?! How is he controlling them? "
And that's the best part about this show.
Guys you forgot to watch the scene after the ending, note that "to be continued" hasn't appear yet
That crying from eren voice actor would be in the history of anime like one of the best acting of all time, that give me chills everytime
I'm... not okay! Rewatching this finale hits so different, I forgot how much information they gave
Also can't wait for the season review, hearing your thoughts and predictions is always so interesting I'm so hyped!
It was all that was on my mind, everytime, consuming episode after episode
but the way these 2 are confused reminds me that and it's so freaking nostalgic
4:52 I like the way he smiles while watching, he has a different reaction😭
6:10 omg his smile
6:08 that smirk haha i remember losing my shit during this scene just loved season 2
I’m literally so happy y’all have made it this far with no spoilers! Hopefully it continues that way!❤️ I can’t wait for y’all to catch up 😄
McKay smiling at the camera got me 🤣
I love that as soon as Hannes showed up, 1 newbie was like "Yeah!
Erens laugh is amazing, thats when you knows you have nothing left to lose
okay but mckays face is one of my absolute faves hes like ooooo sweet summer children xddd also the difference of reactons (between the ones who havent seen it and the ones who have) to erwin getting his arm bitten off was incredible, i thoroughly enjoyed rewatching that
"I was having an existential crisis..." Me too fam lol me too. Mikasa must be protected at all costs
In these last two episodes of season 2, my respect for Irwin escalated exponentially. I’m ready for Season 3 !
Brig’s season 2 op remedemtion and McKay’s knowing glances to the camera are what I am here for. Can’t wait for season 3. It just gets better from here and then there’s season 4.
Prepare to be amazed even more😂😂I hope these guys can handle what's about to come, especially when Eren broke the internet
And here we get introduced to one of the best anime songs of all time, Barricades will forever be legendary, can't wait for it to appear again so you can see what I mean
"Smeagoled his hand" is the best description of Eren trying to transform
😂😂😂❤
I wish that i could forget this anime and watch it again, but I know that's not possible. These reaction are the most genuine I've seen on youtube and it's the closest I'll get to experiencing them myself again.
attack on titan is definitely a show you have to watch over and over again to get all the details.
KENNYYYYYYY
@@SusieBlup I was literally going to comment the same thing 🤣🤣🤣
KENNYYYYYYYYYY
dude I love how Mckay? I think that's the guy who look right at the camera everytime a big event or something important is coming that's just so funny lmao
That LOTR reference you made when eren was biting off his hand was beautiful
It’s what it threw me back to 😂
“You can’t never be ready for Attack on titan” 😂😂😂
We never get used to the snowball of emotions that watching Shingeki brings, you know, this was the first time I saw Cannon and Carter truly sad by Hannes' death. I think it's beautiful 'cause it's their first anime, and you can see that they even forget that there's a camera recording by their faces, can you see this clearly . The soundtrack doesn't help either haha It's wonderful ❤️ best anime to show someone, ever.
Eren's voice actor really is something else...
Edit: also dont forget to watch the ending at season 3 episode 12 pls :DD
Season 1 pt1 has almost 1mil views. I'm beyond proud of you guys
Just recently found y'all and I'm hooked to this. Excited for the next parts to be watched.
I’m soooo glad you guys had fun!
Episode 11 is a total roller coaster not just for them but for alll of us ISTG
i am Japanese
hannesu
Voice actor died
Therefore, it becomes a voice actor different from the initial.
But the voice actor lives in our hearts.
Prayer
Ooh!! Can't WAIT for the review!!! That'll be good! This season is so trippy. Lol. I'm excited about the questions it'll make you start asking... aw man... season 3 here we go!!!!!
Originally I was gonna do a full series rewatch leading up to the final episodes, but I've just been having a blast watching vicariously through y'all instead. Reaction content is very hit or miss for me, a lot of the time it can feel low effort, but you guys are consistently entertaining and seeing your investment level grow has been really fun.
And its cool that they upload daily. We would be waiting for months if they did it like other creators.
After tenth rewatch of this show, it still brings me to knees
