im not the biggest basketball expert or know a lot for that matter but sometimes its so much more effective seeing teammates take leadership and give pointers.
Funny how Kobe didn't stop talking at all like for the most part of the game.He looks so excited about the game that he doesn't even need a rest. That's what I call dedication!
true to some extent, he coached 2 of the best players the NBA has seen, but you can't overlook 20+ years of experience and knowing his players psyche/strengths/attributes...and allowing them to realize themselves what they need to do...
Alot of people who claim mj overrated didn't watch basketball during the 90s mj helped create a dynasty he changed the game alot all the greats that play today bring up mj Kobe even said that he studied Jordan and when compared to Jordan he said that even he should not be compared to the greatest of all time
He´s so different from Mike it´s pointless to compare the two. Mike was a natural genius, he did his thing so easy it looked he wasn´t even trying. I think Mike retired so soon, because all the stuff was so easy to him that he got bored. Kobe on the other hand looks like he´s always trying 120%, always so intense... he of course is also a genius, but I think he´s more on the hardworking side.
You're completely right... Jordan was naturally talented from the outset Not saying Kobe isn't, but he's had to work really hard to develop the offensive skillset that he has today.
i love how before kobe talks about kurt and bowen playing physical, hes right, i wish it was like back in the days of MJ and magic and all that, i mean, coz now guys get calls from a little touch, makes it easier to play offence
I can't wait for Kobe's 6th ring! I do not believe its going to be the Heat but LeBron sha'll get his ring but i don't think its coming this upcoming 2010-2011 season
All these people saying that Mj is overrated, I think what they mean to say is that there are a lot more players in the history of basketball, that were .in fact, a lot better than Mj but don't get the recognition they deserve because everyone thinks that Jordan was the "G.O.A.T" And I agree with them, Jordan was not the "G.O.A.T." but he is still one OF the "G.O.A.T.'s"
The 72 wins bulls had players like a 19.7 ppg and nearly 7 rebounds pippen,Steve Kerr( i don´t think there is a shooter like him on the whole league as of today,Kukoc, and still had a bench with players like Ron Harper or a young Dennis Rodman. It wasn´t all Jordan, in fact Jordan´s best career years were wen he was young and bulls always fell on 1st round vs Atlanta.Like Kobe befor Gasol arrived lalaland.
True, I really feel sorry for Lamar. Not that he is getting paid, but being traded from the club you had a lot of success for nothing, man that's cold.
@bomksh247 i dunno i can't see kobe as a coach he'd be wanting to put a jersey on and get in the game going here this is how you do it lmfao now D fish i htink would make a GREAT coach he's a great communicator and if he can get the respect of someone like kobe on the court he'd have the respect of anyone on his team
@EduSanjuan777 I kind of agree with you in some points you highlighted, I agre with Jordan being more athletic than Kobe and i think he was also stronger but not more skilled Kobe like you said "Kobe has more weapons, more moves, a longer shooting range, and lately, he´s also more of team player than Mike was". This is why I say he is more skilled.
@EduSanjuan777 "lately" aka at 32 years ....MJ too started winning after he crossed 28 ....u know with these ultra competitive players, it takes a lot of time and patience to get through to them as a coach to trust their team mates and curb their ego....still u still see days when kobe goes for 30 points having taken 30 shots and made 11-30.....the only teams that have played unselfish ball and won are the spurs, pistons and celtics..
@Telakisu Even some of Jordan's own teammates (e.g. Horace Grant) said he put his own shot above the team. And besides that the bulls did just fine without him after the first retirement, winning only 2 less games than they did the previous season. Guess they didn't really need him to "coach" the team. There's a reason Jordan has 10 scoring titles, quite simply, he's the biggest ballhog in the history of the game.
guys no doubt kobe is a great but don't forget this is the first video of its kind ur watching....what kobe does here every other leader does the same in terms of communication, the technical stuff such as calling out plays etc. don't start comparing MJ to kobe based on this video alone lol
I don't really think so. I just think they are both great. And it is kinda funny if you really think Mike is the GOAT but only because of coming before Kobe. It means you are just too young to know that era.
He said ," when my hands are dry it makes the ball slippery, but when it's wet it allows me to feel the texture of the ball", now how does that make sense lmao.
First of all.....no one has ever done a video like this for MIKE...so no one can say that kobe was more of a team player because the players today are better prepared than ever before so you can't say he is more of a team player or has more moves to score so on and so forth......Mike was the total package.....not because of his bball I.Q. or his this or that......its simple......Micheal Jordan was a better spontaneous player with doing things on the spur of the moment making him the natural.
@iTzeXile13 exactly T.E.A.M one player cant play against a whole team, Mike was alot better and will stay better but Kobe is just as close to him. The reason the Lakers got swept was due to poor defense and un-consistent offense not all of Kobe's fault.
@TheRealGoose11 I dont think that was a boo, they were chantin his name "luke," kinda like in cleveland when ilgauskas has the ball and the crowd goes "ZZZZ"
@bomksh247 Holy shiz, I never considered that, Kobe Bryant as a coach. He definitely has the VISION, Communication Skills, Ability to Inspire Performance in players, etc etc. That would be interesting. It would kill me to kobe end up as another washed up former NBAplayer-commentator though, I think a coaching job would suit him.
@EduSanjuan777 sounds reasonable. but i have to disagree in one point. i think kobe is more skilled, his footwork, his shooting, his fundamentals... even phil jackson said he is more skilled. other then that i pretty much agree
@EduSanjuan777 What are you talking about? Jordan was not a teamplayer??He coached that team.Without Jordan there was no Pippen no Rodman no Kerr,he build them up If Spike thinked back then to make a "Jordan doin work" you'll be amazed + the defences that were back then,Jordan still was like 50+ per game.63 points vs Bird in playoffs. Are you kiddin me?
And if saying that Kobe, being inferior to MJ both talent and athleticism wise, can still find his way to play at a level that at times, is nearly as good as the best MJ , is saying the Mamba is more efficient so be it. I only point out that Kobe makes a best use of the gifts god gave him, and has worked a lot have a deep stack of weapons when confronting a rival, maybe even deeper than Jordan´s .MJ is not Dr.J but he was inspired by him, and Kobe´s not Jordan, but is clearly inspired by MJ
I really miss this guy playing on the court, one of the last of the 90's era. One of the legends
Kobe is such a smart player
Best player ever❤🙏💪❤🙏💪
oh man he is simply the best
I love how Kobe painted that, in football teams live and die by plays, basketball is execution.
when Kobe shoots at 2:54, that is one damn good lookin shot, picture perfect
All those guys who claim Kobe has no basketball IQ need to watch this. He's basically a coach and a player. Cool to see.
you see all these amazing players doing amazing things but after seeing this.... you realize just how much work they put into their game
he is the best thats that!
im not the biggest basketball expert or know a lot for that matter but sometimes its so much more effective seeing teammates take leadership and give pointers.
I would have loved it if Kobe was mic'd up during the finals with the sixers..
Him & AI going at was epic!
Kobe is great
Kobe is the best critic of his game
Kobe bryant second greatest player of all time
Funny how Kobe didn't stop talking at all like for the most part of the game.He looks so excited about the game that he doesn't even need a rest. That's what I call dedication!
I would love to play with Kobe
I like the way he realises how much he talks.
2:53 to 2:56
so precise and perfect form.
BEST IN THE WORLD
true to some extent, he coached 2 of the best players the NBA has seen, but you can't overlook 20+ years of experience and knowing his players psyche/strengths/attributes...and allowing them to realize themselves what they need to do...
A true leader.
I hope Bryant becomes a coach
Alot of people who claim mj overrated didn't watch basketball during the 90s mj helped create a dynasty he changed the game alot all the greats that play today bring up mj Kobe even said that he studied Jordan and when compared to Jordan he said that even he should not be compared to the greatest of all time
the NBA: the only place where a 6'6" man in perfect physical condition can have a "little man complex"
Rip kobe
He´s so different from Mike it´s pointless to compare the two. Mike was a natural genius, he did his thing so easy it looked he wasn´t even trying. I think Mike retired so soon, because all the stuff was so easy to him that he got bored. Kobe on the other hand looks like he´s always trying 120%, always so intense... he of course is also a genius, but I think he´s more on the hardworking side.
Yea you keep right on thinking that kid
kobe has to coach lakers when he retires..future coach for LA
You're completely right... Jordan was naturally talented from the outset Not saying Kobe isn't, but he's had to work really hard to develop the offensive skillset that he has today.
it's not about who's #1 or #2, but who deserves respect.
He's right think about it alot of other players were good too bill russell got championships but no one ever say's he the best player
@taylordize This is called communication with teammates.
@liljuve13 thank you, glad someone said it
i love how before kobe talks about kurt and bowen playing physical, hes right, i wish it was like back in the days of MJ and magic and all that, i mean, coz now guys get calls from a little touch, makes it easier to play offence
exactly my thought!1
need subtitles for the trash talks :/
I can't wait for Kobe's 6th ring!
I do not believe its going to be the Heat but LeBron sha'll get his ring but i don't think its coming this upcoming 2010-2011 season
its funny how he says he knows fisher loves that corner, fisher just made that dagger tonight against the Mavs
KOBE BRYANT would have been a GREAT COACH in the NBA.
All these people saying that Mj is overrated, I think what they mean to say is that there are a lot more players in the history of basketball, that were .in fact, a lot better than Mj but don't get the recognition they deserve because everyone thinks that Jordan was the "G.O.A.T" And I agree with them, Jordan was not the "G.O.A.T." but he is still one OF the "G.O.A.T.'s"
kobe should be a coach
@taylordize lol this wasnt a regular season game, it was conference finals

Damn Kurt I loled
i want to see some commentary when he's going against boston. I would like to hear what he says and goes through the whole game.lol
great basketball IQ
Kobe doin Work Part 2 against the Heat.
True, I really feel sorry for Lamar. Not that he is getting paid, but being traded from the club you had a lot of success for nothing, man that's cold.
My dad doesn't hate on the best player n NBA history!
@bomksh247 i dunno i can't see kobe as a coach he'd be wanting to put a jersey on and get in the game going here this is how you do it lmfao

Kobe was the coach> at timeouts???
09:08 D-fence.... de-fence, yeah!
How many dunks have the Lakers missed this game? Damn.
It´s the evolution of the species man.
@EduSanjuan777 I kind of agree with you in some points you highlighted, I agre with Jordan being more athletic than Kobe and i think he was also stronger but not more skilled Kobe like you said "Kobe has more weapons, more moves, a longer shooting range, and lately, he´s also more of team player than Mike was". where is mike doin work..that would be epic
WE GOTTA MOUSE IN DA HOUSE!
Phil isnt even coaching during the game lol.
a little better but yeah, that´s what I think, Kobe can do more things than Mike, but Mike did his thing just a little better.

@drlove1972
MJ is 6 and 6 in Finals appearances, do you still believe that is "overstated"?
@taylordize naaaaa we don't talk we just run the plays silent
luke walton scored!!!!!!!!!!!
@drlove1972 you know he leads the Bulls in assists right?
@ryangillen23 do they still sell those?
@EduSanjuan777 Imagine them, same team. That would be something
@modernway91 except Toni Kukoc didn't get traded away for nothing
@bomksh247
Kobe will be an excellent coach ;)
what shoes is he wearing
@bomksh247 Holy shiz, I never considered that, Kobe Bryant as a coach. He definitely has the VISION, Communication Skills, Ability to Inspire Performance in players, etc etc. That would be interesting. @EduSanjuan777 What are you talking about?

@thakiddquest who's we? and I posted that comment 1 year ago.
If kobe talks this much during a regular season game, he must talk a shitload in the finals lol
surely this was said just to get comments
@EduSanjuan777
more effective than jordan?? and thats why kobe's team got sweeped this year.
I think they switch roles cause the mic was on kobe. lol
coaches board ? pssssh kobe's board now
damn kurt!! lol
kobe doesnt give a crap in this game xDD
@bomksh247 I bet after he's done with his playing career, he will be.
