- Reform was founded and started by Jackie. After years of tireless striving, stress, and compromised health as a result of her lifestyle, Jackie found her identity, healing, and wholeness in God. She found a more simple way; a way centered in faith, wellness, and freedom. Now, she is devoted to helping others find the same. Combining her passions of wellness, faith, and education, Jackie works with clients locally and around the world. Along the way, she discovered that one of her greatest passions was helping others build stronger connections to themselves, their health, and their faith through wellness at every level: physical, emotional and spiritual.

This was great, Jackie! I'm a Reform graduate. I guess it depends where you are in life, but Reform gives you tools that you can never un-learn. The pillars have led me to a deeper love of our Lord and a desire to glorify him in every aspect of my life. I constantly find myself applying Reform wisdom to my daily life 3 years later. It's a journey, but it's been so enlightening...completely worth every cent. You have access to doctors and the cream of the crop priests and religious who give webinars weekly, and a beautiful community of fellow Catholics. It's really incredible what the Lord has created in Reform through Jackie's yes.
I love the concept of Reform. I have always held health as a very high priority, but between raising teenage kids and going through menopause, I found myself gaining stubborn belly fat and experiencing muscle loss. I tried different approaches (no evening snacking, cutting down on carbs, upping my exercise routine, etc.), but was frustrated with the lack of results. I read The Daniel Plan book at the recommendation of a friend, and while not all of it resonated with me, the faith component is what made all the difference and everything else followed from there. Wanting to take the best care of myself because my body is a temple of Jesus Christ infused so much more meaning into finding what worked for me to achieve results beyond what I'd imagined. I feel better than I thought I could at my age, and by modern standards (which isn't saying much), I was pretty healthy to begin with. Wanting to be the best version of who God created me to be is just so much more motivating than superficial reasons. My journey of giving my health up to God started 2 years ago and it's been amazing. I am in much better shape now because when I pray for guidance, those prayers are answered, even if it's by finding a podcast like this one to keep me on track and improve my perspective and prayer life. My life isn't perfect by any stretch, but the more I do the more I want to do for His glory. Just wanted to leave this comment in case it motivates someone else to try Reform or read The Danial Plan.
Thank you Jackie for getting the word out about Reform Wellness. The simplicity of the program is the most challenging aspect I have ever contemplated. “How would you sleep as a daughter/son of Christ?” is a perspective that is basic yet challenging to many of us. The cost of Reform is worth it to me, and the program provides many no cost ways to participate after the course completion. Having women and men who are actively living out their faith as examples, and praying for you as you discover your own answers has been such a blessing and challenge for me❤️
Monsignor Shea!! ❤
Definitely paralyzed by perfection over here!! I finally started my sacred music channel after YEARS of putting it off. But after some seriously strong nudges from the Holy Spirit on December 7th that I couldnt ignore, I picked up my phone on the feast of the Immaculate Conception and recorded and posted my first video. It is not the best quality or perfect but I will keep trying! Progress over perfection. Glory to Jesus Christ now and forever!
Beautiful tunes, subscribed ☺️
@@pastfutureshistory thank you so much! God bless you! Will pray for you at Mass later today!
“You don’t have to agree with me! I don’t even know if I agree with me!”
This is a big part of why I like this show 😂
"I kept Jesus in a box."
I did this.
My world changed when I let Jesus out of the box and into my whole life.
Me too. This one was really profound to me.
Always great to see a new pwa. This show's great. When talking to younger Catholics, like 50 and under, meeting them for the first time, this show usually comes up in the conversation. It has helped so many of us to grow closer to Christ and deeper in the Catholic faith. Praise God! Thank you for everyone involved in the making of these shows.
This was massively helpful to me. It’s hard. Feeling like you’ve not been loved. Thank you for reminding me of Christ’s true love.
I am writing down your question in my prayer journal, What do I look like fully alive? Great thought to meditate on.
Jackie is delightful. A truly beautiful woman.
I was so excited to see this talk. I am an integrative psychiatric provider and the role of nutrition cannot be understated. I believe that nutrients (supplements) and herbal supplements are Gods provision for us. There is a huge medical-pharmaceutical industry that is profit driven and intertwined with the insurance industry and government lobbying. Unfortunately doctors do not follow a functional approach and many doctors turn to medications that only address symptoms and not the root cause.
Was really excited to hear Fr. Innocent's name come up! I've only met him on a few occasions (one of which was my wedding were he was a concelebrant), but have always been stunned by his pure joy and love of Christ!
Matt You explained my thoughts when you said you are a all or nothing person and I have extreme awareness of my lack of self control and i find myself not wanting to exist. I groan when anyone calls me. Even the people I love.
As a later in life convert with food issues I appreciate this talk! Thank you and God bless you ❤
1:44:21 Listening to this as I cook dinner😅 I did have my 20 minutes of silent prayer this morning, read 2 chapters of the Bible, and will do my rosary tonight, so I don't feel *too* guilty 😄
I’m an RN and have been studying functional medicine since the pandemic . I’ve been wanting to do this type of thing for awhile and not knowing where to begin. Minister to people in their health with a Catholic lense. So much of the holistic side of health has new agey stuff mixed in.
I’ve recently used carnivore to help do more fasting and gain control over gluttony.
I had tried the ‘master cleanse’ a decade ago.. but was missing the ‘fasting’ and abstinence part.
I hadn’t ever heard of this person or her program. Glad she’s leading people to Faith!
Also, at work we were just discussing how, when we were kids in the 70’s, we didn’t have a tv even…. When I was about 8 we did get a 13” black and white tv…
Thinking of this, helps me want less phone screen time… I mostly listen to Catholic pod casts, and Gregorian chant on my phone… but I may need to just go back to books and cds?
Thank you for this discussion. I really needed to hear all of this. So grateful for Jackie’s work!
Minute 55; Thursday becomes the entire show! 😂
LOVING this, thank you.
Jackie has some really wonderful answers and insight! And kudos for Matt and the listeners for asking great questions. Great interview
Great conversation with much to think about, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, perhaps I should try to make my body more worthy for Him...
Love the phone/Skittles book/steak analogy
Was about to comment the same thing 😂
if I had a steak in my pocket I'd prefer that to skittles.
I’m a Reform graduate so cool to see Jackie here! Reform is great. It’s expensive but I thought it was worth it.
Perhaps you could help. It’s not entirely clear to me from her website or what she says here exactly what her programmes do for the body that ordinary health/medical interventions can’t/don’t.
@@bethmcmullan7686 I've been a member of Reform for a long time. I would first say that it's not all about the body's health. Its body and soul. It's about the peace that can only come through truly knowing Christ; creating space for Him in your life, and how that creates a connection that leads to a desire to fully glorify him in every aspect of your life. Reform gives solid life tools to apply - one at a time - to take the steps that lead there.
MONS. SHEA!!! A life changing talk this year at SEEK 2024!
🙋🏻♀️me! I’m cleaning my kitchen right now and enjoying this podcast! Also, I’m thinking about puzzles now ❤😂
on supplimentation, I used to take everything but I've found focusing on what blood panels show you are missing is really what the body wants. There isn't much benefit to taking too much of a thing you already have more than enough of in most instances. Also there can be stress on the kidneys.
Supplimentation is powerful, but don't get drawn into the marketing hype around taking so many pills, get your diet and activity under control.
It’s so true that Most things are not urgent!
There is a doctor in MN who is Catholic and often on Relevant Radio who talks about the gut microbiome. It's so fascinating, he also has some connection with the military and a lawyer, if I'm remembering correctly. Parasites can essentially hijack your brain. It's crazy! In one episode, he also went over the research between crimes (even rape) and connection to gut health. Which makes me wonder about the role of freewill when bacteria can influence behavior. 🤔
Antedotal, but my anxiety is near gone after removing gluten and dairy. Which is saying something when my entire family has anxiety/depression issues. (It also stopped my chronic cough and post nasal drip. Which was surprising because I had no idea I had sensitivities.)
This is amazing! 🤩
fascinating comments on nutrition & health .
Anyone else go straight away to find Msgr Shea's talk at SEEK?
Lol no, but I made A mental note of it and intend on doing that
Msgr. Shea is so wonderful!! It’s an amazing talk!!! My daughter was at SEEK and she said it was one of the best she ever experienced 🙏🏼🕊️♥️
Heard it a while ago. I knew exactly what she was talking about it was so profound. It was totally a mic drop talk.
I had already seen it. It was fantastic.
I was there, so I've listened to it more than once now because of replay
So fabulous and motivating.
I'm disappointed that Jackie blends into the background though
Could you please intro guests at the start of long form interviews? Coming in cold with no idea of who most are leaves a long ramp up for many.
I might be in the minority. But I enjoy the way Matt starts the podcasts. It is much more natural.
@@garrettwilliams6396 same I like it, most of the big pods do it this way with a full intro laid out in the bio...
Tbf he asks her about 2 and a half minutes in to talk about what she does.
Msgr. James Shea has some really fantastic insights. If anybody has not read his long essay/ short book "From Christendom to Apostolic Mission: Pastoral Strategies for an Apostolic Age" go get it today! It is a short and easy ready, but has such an accurate pulse on what is going on in our post Christian Age, and how to move forward.
I would love to see you do an interview with Dr. Ann Nolte
I am guilty of cell phone by bedside, BUT in evening i play word games with my kids, which i love and look forward to, and in morning use my prayer apps...laudate, hallow, morning & evening offering...However, i do love to read (fiction), have been trying to read more catholic books, but definitely find those a harder read, but realize they are more beneficial to me
Puzzles 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
❤❤❤
Holy Spirit for the Win! Thanks Everyone!
awesome
I can’t stay for this whole talk tonight but I can’t wait to hear the whole thing tomorrow! I love this topic and I’ve need led to hear it from a Catholic perspective!
Jackie Mulligan looks like Winona Ryder's sister.
Edit/Correction: Jackie Mulligan looks like she could be Winona Ryder's sister.
Do you need a PharmD on your team?? This is exactly how I want to practice!
Matt’s face when he asks should we burn it all down 😂😂😂
Such beautiful person.
I love this episode. And what she has to say. However its so sad that her courses are so expensive.
Don’t sacrifice the good for the perfect.
Ok, so Jackie Mulligan and Roxie Beckles need to do a collab together!
I am very impressed with how much grace Jackie Mulligan exercised while being interrupted in mid-sentence, over and over again, by Matt Fradd. Reform seems like a fantastic, much needed lifestyle renewal, but wow, Matt, do you even realize how frequently you interrupted your guest? I know you can’t possibly get away with that with your wife, because I sure can’t with mine!
I love Thursday forever❤
And ever.
And ever! ❤
I’m in such a bad place I don’t even know where to start
What’s the next smallest step you could take?
Hey Matt, did you know that in NSW at least, mobiles were banned in schools at the end of 2023?
For some reason this episode cuts off early on PocketCasts. The previous episode did also.
Matt, why all the interruptions?
Thursday is fantastic!
Did Matt really smash his phone? I need to know.
I'm not trying to open up a can of worms and I hope I'm wrong and just missing more context, but wouldn't the priest asking "do you have a business card" after hearing her confession be a breaking of the Seal of Confession? It's my understanding that nothing mentioned during the confession is allowed to be referenced by the priest. 🤔
She could probably hand him the card after the confession, and this he could use that "new", non-confessional info to contact her company
Always could say no. She doesn't have to reveal anything. It's on her to give the info outside confession, which she did. With that info, he could contact her
As long as the priest says doesn't say "in confession I learned about...". This isn't a problem
Matt fradd I’d love to hang out with you
I wouldn’t say reversion. It may contextually correct, but it may scape people and give the wrong idea. How about re-conversion? My grandma would on often pray for conversion and re-conversion of all members of the family.
Thanks for this feedback!
The subject is making you squirm pale! Compared to other guests/subjects. You are interrupting left and right. Neil.
Lots of mmmmmmmmm
Odd sound use a lot in this interview
Mmmmmmmm.....mmmmmmmm.....mmmmmmmm
Maybe it's just me but that skittles/steak analogy is terrible. I would never choose skittles. It probably rings true for many though.
Ha! Yep I thought the same
As a childhood skittles fan and gobbler, I get it, maybe substitute that for something else personal you can relate more to. God help us, there's many...
You wouldn’t want to walk around with steak in your pocket. It’s inconvenient. Sugar is also addictive, so it’s not only more convenient to eat the Skittles; they’re designed to make you want to eat more. Same with the phone - it offers convenience, quick hits, and it’s designed to keep you hooked.
I’m sorry but you cannot call it a ministry when it’s costs hundreds/thousands of dollars. It’s a business.
Yup. Having looked at the website briefly before the start of the interview, I instantly knew that this was someone from a business background who was treating it entirely as a money maximising scheme. 100% like every Bali “I’ll transform your life” coach with very little substance.
She seems to charge a lot for generic and freely available advice/information.
💯
Eat well, sleep well, pray, exercise, rest, play, minimise technology. That’ll be $1000 please.
Is your reference to farting needed ? I find it disrespectful to your guest and your audience
Is this comment needed? I find it disrespectful to the creator and the rest of the audience.
Next time I fart, be assured that it'll be dedicated to your honor
@@KyleWhittington Is this response needed? I find it disrespectful to myself and the rest of the audience who were going to say the same thing.
Hey, y'all. Not trying to put myself on a pedestal because I am a fellow sinner but I think that as brothers and sisters we should stop this passive aggresive infighting and focus our energies on our Lord. I pray you're all doing well. God bless and all glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.
