Traditional songs are considered sacred, to be sung for healing of the patients well being, to bring them back into harmony with the universe to once again be on the path of sa'ah'naaghe'l Bik'eh hozhoon. Healings shouldn't be for profit... nowadays that's all it is, their healing properties are stripped off of it. It's too bad.

How dare he! These songs are sacred and shouldn't be sung outside of a ceremony! He is taking away the sacredness and power behind the songs! It is a very bad taboo. Anyone who listens or tries to sing these will be stricken with sickness and a loss of spiritual wellness. Heed this warning to all who read this. This is evil and wrong.

Then how would one practice and share? Sacred things will always be sacred and need to continually respected.

@@Gabrielle-zi8go songs are learned and practiced in a táchéh (traditional diné sweat). And sometimes slowly learned in ceremonies

I really love listening to Navajo singing. It’s earth moving. And apache. Too. One day an apache man appeared on here and said. Don’t listen to our music it will make you sick. You need to say a special preyer before you do. What songs can be listened to safely? I believe sacred knowledge and singing should be sacred. , thanks..

Not appropriate to share with non-Navajo people.
