If you want to see what I mean, see an intense little dramedy called Black Bear. But brace yourself for what Aubrey does here. I'm not kidding.

What I’ve learned is that I value characters like her and Nick Offerman I’m contrast to other people. I LOVE Aaron Swanson. I cannot get through Nick’s standup comedy. I love April, but find it almost too much without the Andy’s around her.
Plaza is an absolute genius. Specifically, a comic genius, but I don't think she could pull off her comic ability were she not a genuinely intelligent person. Not many people can make Dave Letterman squirm with awkwardness like she does, and still be invited back. She kills. I've got to check and see if she's ever done "Between Two Ferns" with Zach Galafanakis.
Her performance last year in "Emily the Criminal" was my favourite performance from last year. She was also amazing in "Legion". One of the most underrated drama actresses right now.

I have pretty severe ADHD, and my whole life when I spoke I would trip over/combine/swap words/pivot thoughts because my mind is all over the place and my speech can't keep up. Basically, I can't multi-task, I can only focus on one thing at a time, anything else is ignored. And I noticed reading while listening to the audiobook helps me practice...focused multitasking? And focused communication? I'm a performer, and I definitely do better work on stage in plays when I regularly do this. My scenes just feel like they have more authentic pacing and I have an easier time listening to scene partners. Just a theory!!!

David Letterman has always come across as being kinda insensitive and oblivious. You can even tell in the interview he seems to play her off in a kind of non-chalant way, which is kinda disrespectful if you ask me.
I liked if not loved her in every role I have seen her in. I also loved "The Little Hours" which she stared in and produced. I think she has what it takes to shine as an actress, producer, director if she wishes and I think she will be doing great work across the board in film for years to come. Beauty, a genuine quirky charm and a ton of talent in so many areas, what's not to love and admire about her. Life long fan here for sure!

Uhh really, he asked the same questions both times and in the second interview he didn't even mention the name of the movie. He didn't even realize that Aubrey was "playing her role" so he assumed her at face value. Craig Ferguson or others would have seen right through this and reacted. He wasn't "unflappable" he was asleep, or bored or tired, etc.

Uhh really, he asked the same questions both times and in the second interview he didn't even mention the name of the movie. He didn't even realize that Aubrey was "playing her role" so he assumed her at face value. Craig Ferguson or others would have seen right through this and reacted. He wasn't "unflappable" he was asleep, or bored or tired, etc.

1. He was not going to play games and give in to her nonsense, especially at that point in his career.
