I'm getting conflicting info that purple is purpurowy but then others say it's fioletowy. Is it a different shade?
Fioletowy is the most common name for the purple color. Purpurowy is a different shade, used less in some specific context.

Originally ,yes, it was a different shade. ( English language got it all wrong). Purpura originally was a pigment from some sea snails, that was used to dye fabrics. It was rather close to dark red. It was expensive and the color was used especially by Popes from Catholic church for their church clothes. In English language (even more so in American) people use "purple" also about violet, which is closer to blue than to red. In Polish purpura is mainly associated with dark RED violet used in bishop outfits.

The amount of examples is confusing for a beginner learning colours

@adanna528 you miss the point. Its the number of examples, not the complexity of the examples
@@deanoi6 same thing. Just focus on the colours and not the examples
I thought so too but its good to see how the colour changes little bit when used in different ways. Just skip to the end of the lesson where she lists all the colours one after the other if you dont want to know the examples and replay that😊 thats what i did to revise 😊
