This is such a standout part. Other than Shiloh, who also had a very protective parents, the other victims didnt have a lot of support, or their parents let them fly out or just weren't in the picture. I think Hansen reall wants to highlight how important is for parents to do their job.

Sometimes you have to go the extra mile to keep your kids safe even if sometimes they may get angry and say they hate you. They'll thank you later. I know they didnt fight with their moms about it but they could have and their parent took that risk to protect them. It tends to be the women who werent close to their parent or didnt have one, struggle to get out the most unfortunately. It's a sad cycle.
so true. good parenting really help prevent the teens from falling into their trap, but even with good parents, the teens themselves also need to understand why their parents prevent them from meeting strangers online. for shiloh's case, she has good parents, but shiloh being rebellious, chose not to listen to her parents. it took her mom extreme measures to finally pull her away from onision, it might have been too late but at least she made it out. i seriously think teens should sit down and watch these interviews with their parents/guardians and talk to each other regarding issues like this.

War Tome First of all, a lot of the victims were sought out when they were 14-17. Second of all, all the victims were in horrible situations. Stevie Wolfe, one of the first people to ring the alarm bell on onision and has been following him since 2008, and Medium Rare, a former mod of his who whistle blew on the onision forums. Both i feel would add more light onto his antics outside of the harassment, which there is many as I'm sure you are aware. Thank you for your work and finally starting to hurt this monster.

As a stepmom to a 10yo girl and mom to a 2yo girl I just wanna highlight the parenting aspect here. We've heard multiple girls say how they either lied to their parents or their parents were ok with them going out there. Haylee is the first to say her mother told her no and she listened to her mother and it saved her from god knows what. Pro active parenting, telling kids what they need to hear even if it's not what they want to hear, being involved with them, in their lives, guiding and protecting them. We need more of this and I'll take that to heart moving forward with my girls.

I have no idea what they are in Washington (where Onion lives), but an example is that in Maryland (where I live) parents are legally allowed to beat their children as it falls under the curtain of "corporal punishment" and CPS can only intervene when the children are abused in a sexual manner...so sometimes CPS is rather useless.

There is 100% proof of Kai sending pornographic images to an underage child. Irregardless of whether everything they are being accused of holds up in court an irrefutable fact is that Kai is facing a bare minimum of 20 years in prison for the 2 pictures we have evidence of publicly. Regina most likely has proof of her own pornagraphic pictures being sent to kai, so my guess is minimum of 30 years.
But that means if nothing else but that holds up in court, gregory will be in SOLE FUCKING CUSTODY of those children. Those children are doomed. I pray they are strong enough to run away from the grasp that is their father first chance they get to stand on their own and never look back.
