Unlike the recent trend of fake homecoming videos, I can tell by the look of these heroes that these meetings were genuine. Nothing convoluted, still in uniform and maintaining strict, military bearing, these men and women return home to the genuine love of their families. God bless them all.

Same here...my dad was Navy for 30 years and was stationed at Alameda Naval Air Station, where his ship docked. Even 'tho I'm up there in years now, I vividly remember going to "meet the ship" when it came in...my mom had us all decked out in our Sunday best and we girls would be keeping a vigilant eye on the top of the gangplank so we could yell, "there's daddy, there's daddy!" Such sweet memories...both my parents are gone now and I miss them so much...I'd give anything to go back and do it all over, again, even having to move every two years!

I finally got to welcome my soldier home after 55 years….he is a disabled combat Vietnam Veteran and former Marine…he went on the Freedom Honor Flight on May 4th 2024. He finally got the welcome home he deserved!
