Thank you. This is one of the great film scores, for one of the great films. The apocalyptic terror of the battles, coupled with the unbearable personal anguish of the king's betrayal, is devastating yet beautiful, as reflected in the music.
@@uwirl4338 I met many that speak like that. And I'm dealing with artists daily. Also analyzing great art doesn't mean someone is being pedantic. So down boy... chill, chill.
0:00-0:20 If death has its own music playing while you go to the great beyond, I can only imagine it sounds like this. Just one flute playing, it’s so haunting but strangely beautiful.
Akira Kurosawa's final samurai epic *RAN* is "Masterfully" scored by Tōru Takemitsu.. Tōru Takemitsu was a great mind.. An excellent composer and a great talent.. unlike any other.. His works are most unique and original, and very refreshing to me as a listener. His score of this is most Epic, as well as all of his other works..
Без лишних слов Эпохальный саундтрек. Считаю вполне демократически легитимной процедуру отрубания пальцев тем отморозкам которые смеют ставить дизлайки Такемитсу.
I believe that truly great composers have their own style ,which can not be labeled. Takemitsu studied 20th century music intensely and incorporated this into his profoundly Japanese roots.I highly recommend to listen to his"requiem for strings'(1957). It put him on the map here in the West.
Enamorado de esta Obra maestra ,❤música vestuario paisaje ect ,Akiro korosawa mejor director....Sublime ,una genialidad❤
one of my favorite movies... EVER
One of the greatest movies ever made, Akira Kurosawa was a genius!
Cant think of a better marriage of picture and music that I have seen in my lifetime.
Ok

You can appreciate art without being a pedantic fuck. If you ever meet a great artist that speaks like you, hmu.
@@uwirl4338 Wth man? This score really must've pushed you to the edge while u were scrolling through comments haha.

I agree. It adds an element of eeriness that makes such a beautiful film so dark and grim. Ran is truly one of my favorite films.
Epitome of music minimalism at best. Very little and yet overwhelming.
Such a stirringly evil yet hauntingly beautiful score. A+ movie and soundtrack.
A indisputable masterpiece, oft imitated rarely bettered with the spinechilling soundtrack the perfect accompaniment to the unfolding tragedy.
I heard this in the club last night, lit the whole floor up
Una Obra Maestra ❤
That music is so ominous...
I love you for uploading this.
Damn the OST is just purely evil
Thank you!!!!

j'adore la puissance de cette musique

This music sounds (12:00) nearly like Debussys Fall of The House of Usher. And a little bit like Strawinsky.
This soundtrack was influenced by Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde. You can even hear direct quotations (with the same orchestration!) at around 12:20.
You can check Japanese “Kagura “
Ancient theater
They use similar sounds especially in the beginning

Where can i buy the freaking OST´s to all of his movies. Or even download them ?!
UA-cam to mP3 converter. Just download it from a third party site, son!
He wrote a lot of them. Try Woman of the Dunes.
