The first method is working most of the times, but I got a special laptop and only the second method worked. Thanks.
I upgraded 3 unsupported PCs from the desktop months ago to Windows 11 using Rufus. And I kept everything.
Nice video. Thanks. There are a third method: I use "Ventoy" and create a bootable stick. Then i have download the new Win11 23H2 .iso file directly from Microsoft and have add the .iso file on my Veentoy stick and it works without any problems. I have made that today.
In ma pc, within TPM on motherboard doesn't work the installation process! What the heck??? What to do?? How to bypass instead of it??

I do enjoy how Rufus is just a prerequisite step for a lot of users anyway and the way they implemented it adds literally one extra click to the same old process.
Honestly I went with the Rufus method. Upgraded a Dell Optiplex with a 1650 ti and a decent enough Intel cpu. Thanks sm! Although method 1 kept supplying me with a disappearing taskbar... idk if that's a Windows bug but Rufus fixed this!

I just realized there's a TPM option in Hyper-V for 2nd Gen VMs

Doesn't work with 23h2 (December 2023 iso). After checking the PC it says "Doesn't meet
win11 requirements Must have TMP 2.0". (I have Win11 Pro 21h2 installed.) The latest ISO seems to bypass this registry fix.
It doesn't work with upgrade, you need to do clean install.

yes you can upgrade directly but you will get beta version of windows 11
You can't upgrade from windows update. You must create modified usb with rufus and then it will work

Switch to a Linux based computer Windows is gonna be obsolete in the near future I'm pausing at Windows 10 until Valve decides to stop running service on it you still got until possibly even 2030 to play Steam games I might be dead by then.

What Microsoft needs to do with Windows 11 is to make the operating system a bit more lightweight (especially to lower the memory and the CPU), improve the Microsoft defender app instead of using third party apps (like Avast, Norton, CCleaner and etc..), Bring back shutdown, log off and logon sound effects as default as well as media centre.

@@ahq_founder you prolly did something wrong previously i had 3 ventoy usbs never had any issue now i have 250gb external hdd formatted with ventoy and using it perfectly
