@@davidfuller764 I saw Strangers with Candy when it aired on Comedy Central. I was in college. Dave and Worldwide Pants funded and produced the Strangers with Candy film.
I love Amy and her appearances on Dave's show were always great. She just goes at a million miles an hour and Dave seemed to always be just trying to hang on and reel her in a little. It was such a cute dynamic they had.
@@cwg73160 i dunno man... his role in "no time to spy: Loud House movie" was truly spectacular. The biggest reason why this children's film is said to be very good by adults is because of the role of Amy Sedaris who is able to bring Fifi's character to life even though the plot is bad (yahhh you understand... the plot of a children's cartoon)
Thus began one of the best ongoing guest/talk show host relationships ever. Amy, and Dave for that matter, is wonderfully entertaining talking about anything, but these two together was/is always a joy to watch.
I can't believe that didn't get a much bigger laugh! But that's only because she was new to people. I love her sensibility so much hang on her every syllable! ❤ Lol.
Bamford is funny, loved her Netflix show, but Amy Sedaris is on another level of rapid fire, ADHD, firing on all cylinders quick witticisms. She has always been delightful as Dave would say.
@@JanetStarChild always thought Robin Williams roster of characters were loud, bombastic stereotypes of ethnic caricatures, where Amy Sedaris' were sly, surreal riffs on white trash caricatures. She was far more subversive than he could ever be. I don't think she needed to be loved like he did.
If you have ever watched her in "Strangers With Candy". You will notice that with tons of make-up they make her look hideous! In reality she is incredibly Charming, Lovely and Delightful!
I think she would win an award for if there was a prize for somebody who could turn the most attractive person to the least attractive from simply making a face, first few times I saw her I could not image how hot she is in real life.
i like the story of when she visited her folks, after making herself up to look as if she's been physically abused. she'd then tell her folks about the *wonderful* new man in her life, and how he could be the *one* lol
I find Amy really quite beautiful, but I’m afraid she would be a real handful to go out with. For one thing, I’d have to compete with that giant rabbit.
Too obviously acted. Still entertaining, but committing that strongly to irrational quirks makes for an in stream cognitive dissonance, where one is aware of the other.
She straddles the lines of quirky, funny, & insane so beautifully.
Yesssssssssssssss!
That's perfect.
She's as cute as a speckled pup!
She could hook up with me anytime!
Yes... all while being smoking hot 🥰😘😋
Amy was without a doubt one of the very best guests Dave had in his 33 years as a late night broadcaster.
This was her first visit on Letterman! First time meeting him. Strangers with Candy is streaming on Amazon prime now it’s excellent
@@davidfuller764 I saw Strangers with Candy when it aired on Comedy Central. I was in college. Dave and Worldwide Pants funded and produced the Strangers with Candy film.
Her and Crispin and Harmony Korine, at the top…

She & her brother are such talented comedians. Lucky to be alive during their time.
That is the highlight of your life?? How sad..

Nobody said that. You sound insecure af.
We need more people like this in the world today. She is pure joy personified.
If that’s what joy looks like to you, please get help.

PLEASE POST ALL HER INTERVIEWS! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ she’s the best, and you can tell how Dave loves hearing her
Thus began one of the best ongoing guest/talk show host relationships ever.
Amy, and Dave for that matter, is wonderfully entertaining talking about anything, but these two together was/is always a joy to watch.
I didn’t know this was her first appearance until he said “nice to meet you”. She was such a great guest.
The first of many wonderful, hilarious visits from Ms Sedaris.
Love Amy and her appearances on Letterman. She got a belly laugh outta Dave within 15 seconds on her very first appearance. Amazing.
"Looks better on the floor, Dave!"
god if only
Great throwaway line
I can't believe that didn't get a much bigger laugh! But that's only because she was new to people. I love her sensibility so much hang on her every syllable! ❤ Lol.
Love Amy, this was 5 days before Sept. 11th. Simpler times.
I have loved her since Strangers With Candy she's so amazing. Love her newish show too
Some stars bought cars or boats or pieces of art after landing their first big gig...she bought a fat suit. 😂
She’s Hilarious!❤
She’s perfection. 💖
The first time they met, when Amy basically ran over David but they already had so much chemestry. Amy deserves a Letterman's Netflix episode.
Her and Bonnie Hunt. I loved their appearances on Letterman.
So funny. She needs to do more. Haven't seen her for a while.
She's great, love her!
There is such a similarity in both David’s and Amy’s humor - kind of quirky but endearing and real -
Anyone else thought she was talking about the OTHER type of Rabbit?!!😂😂😂
What an incredibly adorable sense of style. Love her clothes.
Truly a wonderful female comedian. On par with Maria Bamford for her quick wit.
Bamford is funny, loved her Netflix show, but Amy Sedaris is on another level of rapid fire, ADHD, firing on all cylinders quick witticisms. She has always been delightful as Dave would say.
Oh goodness she’s adorable!
I’ve had a crush on Amy Sedaris for 20 years.
Amy Sedaris is a genius performer. She straddles the demarcation of twilight and and darkness. I love her!
Pretty much like watching a female version of Robin Williams! Love her!
Amy is actually funny whereas Robin is mostly annoying.

Is this really her first time on Dave? She's a pro out of the gate. I just want to binge Amy on Dave now.
Hilarious and always so pretty.
Her, or Tina Fey...smart, funny, adorable 💖
5 days after this interview, the world changed forever 😥.
No, it only changed for the people who died, their family and friends.
@@tonygrowley5275 you don't think there were any international ramifications to the 9/11 attacks?
Uh, the Iraq War, which, along with the Patriot Act, was rammed through Congress because of this, changed a lot of things@@tonygrowley5275
What a great personality she's has.
This is great! She could read the phone book and be funny!
I loooooved her work on “The Good Wife” . It was brilliant
this type of personality is so Generation X
“What a lovely dress you have” ….””it’s better on the floor Dave”…😂😂😂

She is the greatest
The book they mention at 0.38 is 'Me Talk Pretty One Day' (by David Sedaris)
I love her so much, I forgot how pretty she really is especially 21 years ago.
I think she would win an award for if there was a prize for somebody who could turn the most attractive person to the least attractive from simply making a face, first few times I saw her I could not image how hot she is in real life.
She's alright.... I'm glad I saw this....
She saw the future...lol
Looks better on the floor Dave ! She reminds me of a firecracker I used to date. Amy Sedaris is an absolute KO
Amy always made me unable to tell if she was "on" or just that way all the time
i like the story of when she visited her folks, after making herself up to look as if she's been physically abused. she'd then tell her folks about the *wonderful* new man in her life, and how he could be the *one* lol
she's the crazier version of kristin chenoweth
When you're twenty years ahead of the game.
Always have had a crush on her, and I think Dave does too
He’s always had an affinity for smart, funny, attractive women. OK. Who doesn’t?

She’s the best!
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the Sadaris household when they were growing up.
it would be like the Weasleys when dad comes home with story of 9 muggle raids !
I aways loved her appearances on the show! Both networks!
Just magical. She is like a hilarious Angie Dickinson!
aired only days before 9/11/2001
Please post all of her appearances.
She should do her show idea here on UA-cam, I'd watch it.
Wow, five days before 9/11.
She is so pretty!
My cousin… she is as crazy in person as she is on screen
I would totally watch the show she pitched.
shes absurdly funny
My rabbit was named Snibbles. Ryan Hazen Donaldson. Degus and our pug Teddy. And our pigeon pepe.
5 days later a tragedy happened.
"It's better on the floor Dave*
😂😂😂😂
Pablo Ferro was my personal best friend and editing guru. Shout out to George Seagull.
She has a real Chris Farley energy about her
What’s the “celestia celestia” bit she does a few times?
she’s saying ‘silencio, silencio’- Spanish for silence/be quiet
I'll have what she's having.
Is Amy playing a character or is this for real?!
just saw the date this aired :O
Jerri Blank for President!!!!
so funny Amy Sedaris is, and a candidate for a fictionalized version of grey gardens
Her dad looks like Jack Nicholson.
Literally
its funny how she talks about having celebrities over and doing house work and then she wound up doing AT HOME WITH AMY SEDARIS years later.
Why does she keep saying "Celestia?"
one month before 9/11
She is such a cutie
Pure delight. These 2 should never NOT be on TV! But DL has to shave off his current freak show beard, sorry.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
she's only about a million times funnier than her brother
What a fascinating and inciteful interview. She doesn't act like a fool at all.
I find Amy really quite beautiful, but I’m afraid she would be a real handful to go out with. For one thing, I’d have to compete with that giant rabbit.
Female Joker
Cocaine? A bit?
Nah, she's always like this. Check out 'The Heart She Holler', she is INSANE in it.
Gawd, she's the best! My imaginary girlfriend
One. Of. The. Only few funny women in the business. But im sorry thumbnail did her dirty!. She looks dylan mulvaney on the thumbnail😅😅😅
I would totally Rabbit Sit for her
Unfortunately, the "fatty suit" has a toxic back story, as you can probably tell by the way she doesn't call it a "fat suit." 😟
Too obviously acted. Still entertaining, but committing that strongly to irrational quirks makes for an in stream cognitive dissonance, where one is aware of the other.
That is 100% Genuine Amy. Lighten up, friend.
Amy is so talented. She is also very attractive.
