You want commitment, take a look into these eyes, these eyes are fire, yeah, they burn for you tonight Girl that I’m lonely Your captured in your eyes Going into the night. In that I belive, I would even need loan. You gave me symptom, if all that outside grew cold. For the first time, would the rain become the life.
Wow. The instrumental is almost exactly the same, just in a different key, but the lyrics and their structure are totally different from the final version aside from the beginning of each verse. Interesting! EDIT: It’s no surprise the lyrics are totally different. This iteration of the song was called Water Into Wine.
I remember hearing an interview with Jon and Richie way back where they were talking about In These Arms and Jon said he had Water into Wine and Richie had the In These Arms which they took the chorus from. Amazing that this version still exists.
Was the song even named "In These Arms" back then? I didn't hear them say it once. Tbh I can't really distinguish a fair amount of the lyrics, it's almost another song! Great material!
@paul griffin I don't know. I was just going off of what they said in an interview. They said Dave had a song called water into wine, jon had in these arms, and they just put the two together.

Anoyone can write the lyrics pls?
This must have been before they used Dave's lyrics
I think Water into Wine was Jon and David and Richie actually came to the song late and changed it into In These Arms.
