- This is an unboxing video for the Celestron NexStar Evolution 8-inch telescope with the StarSense AutoAlign unit. We go through the standard accessories and the extras that were bought as well.
Some assembly is shown as well but not everything.
You should consider adding the Celestron - SkySync Telescope GPS Accessory. It makes using the StarSense Autoalign a breeze especially because you no longer need to manually set the time and date every time you need to align.
The contents of that unboxing looks like something that you will really be happy using.
Would have liked to see some images.

If there is almost the same price for the set with 9.25" tube, should I go with that or is it just a waste of extra weight? I'm not an astronomer or scientist but have a passion for stargazing and possibly photography.
Yeah, if you're cool with the weight of the thing and won't have any trouble moving it around I'd say go for it. The extra diameter will help you use higher magnification when looking at planets or planetary nebulas, and the larger aperture will help when you get into photography because at f10 it's a pretty 'slow' system so anything you can do to get more light in there is good. The 9.25 versions are always fantastic. Hold their value much better also. Always sought after.
