    21:59 Tactical Menu (default key: L) allows you to change a crewmember's role by clicking on their icon. For example, you can assign a crewmember to the pilot role, eliminating the need to leave the ship to destroy objects manually. Keep in mind that AI behavior can sometimes be unreliable, so it's up to you to make decisions.

      Yeah, I don't know if I trust my crew enough to not steal my ship, lol. But that is good to know, thanks!

    - RJ crew members borrow a "copy" of your weapon, but this does not stop you from using the same one yourself. Their copy is even modded based on the 1st tab of mods on the weapon (default, I don't know if this can be changed). They receive passive bonuses, but I do not believe they can use alternate/special fire modes.
    - The RJ crew members refresh every day, so come back regularly to check if there's a stat combo you prefer. My 3 main ones are 2 gunners and a defender with decent repair. One gunner also has decent piloting in case I want them to fly for a bit while I board a ship. (I think it's daily? could be every few hours. I saw in the video it said there were 8hr until refresh at the bottom left of the shop)
    - Sadly most dropped RJ parts will not be worth the investment for now. All parts have 3 ranks, and you can buy some basic rank 3 parts from the Dojo shop for pretty cheap. These will be better than the rank 1 and 2 parts you find on the first 2/3 of the RJ "starchart". Sure the dropped parts will have stat/secondary bonuses, but their base stats will be so low that they aren't worth the trouble. Treat them as "endo drops" because you can sell them for endo like extra mods. Once you get to the last 1/3 of RJ missions you'll start finding rank 3 parts that will be direct upgrades to the purchased R3s. At THAT point it's worth farming for multiple copies to find the ones with the best bonuses and "fusing" copies to get the bonuses to the max values. But seriously... just buy the basic R3 parts. It'll make your life much easier.
    - Edit after watching more: it seems you're still in what appears to be a smaller private dojo, so you are limited to the lower rank components. This is yet another reason I suggest joining a large friendly public clan, but if you still don't want to, then you will either need to suffer the unlock requirements for the R3 shop components or deal with the process of farming rank 1 then rank 2 then rank 3 components over time.
    - As for RJ weapons, that's a whole thing that I no longer remember most of. But I can give you a few pointers for guns to try:
    In terms of "Schools" for guns, Zekti has the best burst damage, Vidar is better at sustained damage, and Lavan... exists I guess (meanwhile I use Lavan for all my actual RJ parts because they're good defensively). Most fights have plenty of time to recharge between targets, so the burst dps of Zekti is the most reliable in my experience. So I use that school for all my guns.
    Photor: Mid to Low damage laser. But it's hitscan and it can shoot THROUGH THE STUPID CORPUS ROTATING SHIELDS that drive me insane with all other guns. Because of this, these are the ONLY guns I will use for the pilot's guns on my own RJ. I don't CARE that the dps is low... it's good enough and deals with those stupid shields
    Talyn: Mid to high damage hitscan shots. Long range. This is the best general use turret in my opinion. I use these for my side turrets. Also, the near perfect aim of the AI crewmembers will use these very effectively,
    Cryophon: slow and low range, but very High dps "shotgun". This is the other gun I'd suggest you try out for your personal use instead of the Photor if you can't stand it's damage.
    - You do not need to fully damage a crewship before killing them with the BIG GUN. It does a TON of damage (at least it does with the higher versions/mods I have, so this might be a thing to remember for later). Once you can build more charges in the forge that wil also give you effectively infinite ammo as it is super cheap to craft. The gun is also essentially a sniper with close to infinite range. If you can aim well enough you can snipe cewships from thousands of km away which can be very satisfying. If you are going to shoot a crewship with your regular guns, rotate around and shoot it's engines directly (or shield generators once you get high enough level to encounter those). If you shoot out one or more of their engines, this will slow or stop them until they repair them.
    - RJ abilities spend the energy of your frame when you cast them, and they tend to be expensive. So most players who invest into RJ want a frame that either generates their own energy (Protea for example), or bypass the energy requirement in some way (Hildryn uses her shields and Lavos replaces energy with cooldowns). I personally use Lavos as my dedicated RJ pilot frame (parts bought from Father on Deimos. Rank 2, 5k standing each for a total of 20k for the whole frame) because I love how tanky he is and the cooldowns on RJ abilities are such nice QoL.
    - As a completely separate side note, I also HIGHLY suggest Lavos's signature shotgun the "Cedo" as an eventual replacement for your Hek. It's also bought from Father but has a much higher rank requirement (rank 5 for all the parts). It has a unique passive that gives it 60% base damage for each unique status effect on an enemy, and it's alt-fire is a bouncing EXPLODING glaive that cost NO AMMO and applies a guaranteed random base elemental status effect (heat, cold, tox, or elec) to every enemy hit in addition to having an insane status chance and applying more effects based on mods. This makes it a powerhouse for status application and then the passive gives it so much base damage, you might not even want to use the "normal" base damage shotgun mod and instead pack on more status chance and more unique status types. It's one of my "comfort picks" for end game content, but is obviously hamstrung by the few special enemy types or bosses that are status-immune or ignore weapon passives for some arbitrary reason.
    - The New War RJ sections are a cakewalk. If you could deal with those Earth missions, you will be fine especially with the AI repair crewman and a single gunner.

      Im personally a fan of the Toxic rapid fire cannon for a main gun and the flak cannons for the turrets
      having 2 gunners and 1 repair crew for my NPC crew.
      i CAN do mission in veil proxima, they are still though for me solo.
      I do Enjoy Railjack and farming Corrupt dataslates in it for the sister weapons is a good strategy

      Man, you must have been playing this from the start. How do you remember all of this? I can barely remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday, lol. But it's all good info so I do appreciate it. I had no idea the weapon systems in Railjack were so in-depth. I am working on joining another clan that has all of the parts necessary so hopefully, I won't have to worry about the leveling up and harder missions for a little while.

      @Fyrefrye you know what that does make sense, way more sense than memorizing it all, lol. I get it, tho. I used to do a lot of coding, so I had to look up and know what to look up a lot too.

    the big gun of your railjack oneshots the enemy crewships even if they are full health, the thing is that they might move or have a shield to block it so if you are sure u can hit them, you can shoot even if they are full life, if u miss you can refill it in the forge anyway
    btw you can access the comand screen by pressing L, that is how you can use the strategy mods/abilities and change your crew function mid mission

    • @oblivionslegacy
      @oblivionslegacy  14 днів тому

      Yeah, I am convinced I will never hit the crew ships if I don't lower their health. My aim is really bad, lol.

    Just the info; for convinience sake;
    you don´t have to leave to enter the railjack, (navigation is at the top on the esc menu)
    And you should actually look at what you get for intrinsics. There is a Railjack sling unlock, which let´s you use the top of your ship to shoot yourself into enemy Ships, and let´s you use that omni-tool in the Equipment wheel to teleport yourself back faster.
    Very usefull stuff making your life easier, not just crewmates.
    You can also board enemy crew-ships and take it out from inside, even take it for a joyride.
    You don´t have to take down theyr health, that just makes them stop like your railjack does on 0 health, but you can also just focus the engines of the ship.
    Inside crewships you also get a good amount of resources and endo too clearing the thing inside.

    • @oblivionslegacy
      @oblivionslegacy  13 днів тому

      Honestly, I have read the intrinsics stuff, but I didn't really understand most of it. Also, that's a good point about going inside the crew ships. I will have to start doing that for endo farming, thanks!

  • @trehil
    @trehil 14 днів тому +1

    Mmm, all that tasty tasty railjack endo. I’d say keep pumping into command, eventually your crew member gets on call and can fight with you in missions like a specter but stronger. Another good one to pump into is the gunnery to upgrade your turrets. Put any old gunner into some fancy turrets and you worry about the little fighters swarming a lot less.

    • @oblivionslegacy
      @oblivionslegacy  14 днів тому

    If you change your mind about joining a better my clan has all the research completed already, I'd be more than happy shoot you an invite for it, can even give you a rank to allow you to start research in case they add more stuff in the future, that way you don't need to wait on someone to start it :3
    You'll eventually get better stuff than the Dojo stuff, but the Dojo stuff is perfectly suitable for New War. The better stuff is really for if you want to do the high level Railjack stuff. A lot of it comes from the high level content too.

      @@oblivionslegacy sent over an invite. You would just need to go to Communication>Clan, then find your name on the player list, right click and leave clan.
      Just remember once you join the clan you need to craft a Clan Key to gain access to the dojo. It's so cheap it practically costs nothing, but it does render you dojoless for about 12 hours while it crafts, so plan accordingly.

    • @Fyrefrye
      @Fyrefrye 14 днів тому +1

      Not always a 1-shot, but USUALLY a 1-shot. I have had to shoot ships more than once, but it's rare. It may be guaranteed if you hit a "weakpoint" like their engines, but that's just a rumor I've never bothered to confirm. Once you're fully modded and have rank 3 weapons/components, then you should be 1-shotting the vast majority. And your AI or tenno crewmembers will be doing enough "random" damage to the crewship before you fire the big gun that even if you weren't going to 1-shot it, it will have lost enough health that it will die anyway.
      Edit: I second the Maroo weekly challenge. It's a guaranteed statue every week and it helps teach you about Parkour (or at least about the half a million ways to cheat at parkour).
