f1 cars have a fully sequential gearbox with paddles, the clutch is only required when beginning from a stop. once you are moving it is functionally the same as DCT automatic with paddles
Just because people don’t have manuals in their cars doesn’t mean they don’t know how to drive only thing to manual is you have a clutch pedal and learn to up shift or down shift and let me tell you there’s A LOT of people who drive manuals so I think you need to do some research on the U.S. when where talking about transmission also there’s automatic transmissions/transaxle’s that can also shift if you want to 😉
