One thing I want to bring up which may sound very small and silly but makes a big difference is that if you do want to project onto a painted wall but want to instantly increase picture quality... paint or use black tape to put a bounding box around your image. A black border will instantly create greater visual contrast. Its just how the human eye works. If you don't believe me (and no reason why you should) look up videos on how the human eye perceives contrast and color.
Just look at some of the “which is darker grey” optical illusions. Everyone will swear that one is way darker, even though they are exactly the same shade.
I did the same, black taped the wall. At night it looks like a huge screen, no big difference. In my opinion screens are not worth the money until you have a huge empty wall, they rob you for thousands of dollars for a slightly better or same picture quality as a bare wall can give you.
white walls and ceiling are not good for projector use. The light will bounce off from the screen back to walls and back to screen, lessening the contrast.
I have the Aeon cinegray 3d 100" and Epson 5040ub and I didn't like the results.... Hot spots, dark image on the corners, and the screen came with some kind of stains that is visible in brighter scenes... Definitely I'd rather spend some more cash for better quality.
I bougth the 120" size, and was the WORST money I spend in my HT. The screen have darker zone who really RUIN all the cinematic experience, causing the called Dirty Screen Effect. So, I think Elite don't do a good job checking their products before put them for sale. You are Warned.
Great demo. So nice when you close all the curtain. Even you only off the room lights, it is decent pictures quality.
Great video! Good quality, clean setup!
Thanks Jack!

Notice how every projector screen and movie theater screen has a black border around the screen. Its there exactly for this reason.

Haha thanks! What a great movie though? Those guys are my inspiration!
oh snap, some one is hungry
Uhm? So using a screen is better that projecting on the wall? What will they think of next? Good call and great comparison.
This is not a non-ALR screen so its pretty interesting to see it still actually makes a difference
looks better without the screen but you should have zoomed out and made it bigger

You should paint the wall behind in a dark color, and the shelves as well.
Subscribed because VLDL

Good men 👌👍
So which colour is best for projector?
Hey there! It depends on the projector and the lighting! I have a very dark room, so I can use Grey to make the colors pop, with some darker blacks!
