That also opens up a plothole: Why didn't Yuta eat one of Nobaras body parts and used the technique on Sukunas finger when Gojo initially attacked with the purple technique?
Because gojo wanted a 1v1. Also she was still asleep at that point meaning she couldn’t make a binding vow with him, meaning in order to use her technique he would have to consume a lethal part of her.
At the End of the day geges random ass writing style is what made the manga so interesting. I mean who just offscreens the most popular character in the manga? No one would be that stupid, right? But like you said before the last few chapters, everyone could die. I wouldn´t have been suprised if Yuji died at the end and thats what made the fight so hype. Also Culling Games gets too much hate IMO, only the America part and Maki's Naoya fight were low points (though Naoya is a GOAT), and yeah in retrospect I wish it went a bit differently to give characters more proper development, but taken on its own I love the Culling Games.
@@LoudWaffle Agree - Sendai Colony, Yuji v Higuruma, Kashimo v Hakari, Megumi v Reggie Star's group (imo a highly underrated fight), Sukuna stealing Megumi's body, Gojo's return. All great. Shibuya is seen as better, but imo Culling Games has moments on par with Shibuya's highs. the culling games suffers from its length, meaning its lows are quite deep lows.
Hey guys, remember Tiger funeral, remember Yuko Ozawa, remember the Merger, remember how Geto took back his body for a split second, remember Yuji's domain name, remember that guy that looked like Kenjaku at the end?
For the themes gege is going for, not everything needs to be explained to death. It doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of the narrative. Does it matter for completion of the reader’s curiosity? Yes. Does life always work out that way? No.
@WithoutException bro what do you mean they don't matter? The literal main villian came back for 1 panel and the manga just ended, I personally don't like jjk but "life doesn't always work out that way" doesn't justify gege's horrendous writing and favoritism
The piano cover and flashbacks made me cry bro. It’s been a hell of a journey. During the good and the bad it was always fun. I’d never have it any other way.
Its sad fr had so much _potential_ The reason why Shibuya was so good was because the previous 2 arcs set up for the climax on Shibuya from the Disaster Curses to Gojo backstory all coming full circle. Culling Games had set ups but Shinjuku being the climax and coming full circle did not happend, it failed were Shibuya succeded. What Culling Games set up did not pay off. RiP
Anime is the last hope for any other pay off we could get. But even if not, JJK is always gonna have a whole warehouse of estate in my heart. Loved this shit man, the good and bad.
If I were to reread the series (which I won't), I would just skip straight to the final battle after the Shibuya arc, nothing in between ended up mattering in the slightest.
@hjt091 That's what you would think. It's always best to reread a series to get a better feel. Same shit that's happening to JJK happened or is happening to Naruto cause pll can't just seem to Read the manga.
The memes were so impactful that even those who didn't read or watch JJK were spoiled about Gojo's death, it was impossible to escape. And yeah, while I think Yuji had solid character development, all the other characters barely moved from where they were at the beginning, with Nobara being kicked out of the story and Megumi having all of his development nullified once Sukuna took his body.
I just can never get over the idea of Gege not showing us the characters' inputs on situations. To this day, yuji does not know Kenjaku is his mom He is related to Sukuna(in a way) He had a finger from before the events of the story. It just feels weird that we are given this information, and the characters are not in a non-mystery type story. It's insane to me.
He definitely knows the first one, and I don't see what his reaction would be to the second one, I honestly hated that plot point in the first place so the less time they spend on it the better. I just think gege was trying to be efficient, we don't need to see every character's reaction to everything. We see them when they have something to say.
@@fedweezy4976excuses, excuses😒😒. You don't need to see many characters reactions to most things, good for you. Not everybody wants the same and even if you're a little right, that would be if the characters had good reactions to most things for many parts of the story. That's just one of those parts jjk didn't fulfill, "characters reactions". When close relatives, colleagues, teammates and others die they don't cry, deep secrets gets open, the reaction is ridiculous, finding out important stuff gets thrown away as nothing, that's bad, we didn't see many let alone all characters reactions. I think that's what people want to see.
@@Mari-sg2pp I somewhat agree, but the whole epilogue was just the characters reacting to what went down in the final fight. Also, how is yuji supposed to react to the fact that he and sukuna are related? That's such a crazy thing that also has zero importance. Like what would he even say?
JJK was so peak up untill Shinjuku showdown, after Gojos death chapters became a formula of new character showing up and then being replaced. I wish Gege cooked for longer and gave us something better
Now that I really look back, the story really isn't that good. It was alright (6/10). But it isn't about how good the writing was, it was just a really fun community to be in when it was really popping off. The memes were legendary, and it was fun theorizing. Unfortunately the future watchers will never have as much fun watching the show as we did, but just be happy that we, the first, were able to experience it.
Some of the writing was great like gojous parts and sukunas parts and the whole theme of tryna teach one another love on the battlefield, kashimo was underrated asf
@Joyboy553 i sometimes wonder if Gege wanted to end the series with Sukuna winning but switched up either cause he felt like it or was pushed to by his editors
Really a 6? I feel like the only mid arcs were the beginning ones and the Shinjuku Showdown arc, so I gotta disagree, the least I'd give it personally is a 7, there were just too many good aspects imo
i'm not ganna lie, jjk is one of the only like 3 battle shonen out there i actually dislike. It's not the worst thing in the universe but i just feel bad for manga like Ranger Rejects, Undead Unluck, World Trigger, etc. that have a lot more to offer but never got anywhere near the same level of recognition for reasons outside of the story such as bad marketing, less popular magazine, bad adaption, etc. I love yout content tho. I hope you pick up literally any ongoing manga.
I really only have negative opinions on JJK right now HOWEVER I truly enjoy your positive perspective in this video and it's important because I feel like it's definitely easy for us to lose sight of how we felt along the way, and what we've enjoyed due to being caught up in the moment of our negative feelings. So...yeah! I have a lot of thoughts about the whole of JJK but I can say there was definitely a lot I enjoyed during the ride. Good Video IRL Gojo.
After all the hype calms down (it's reaching that point) and all the new readers don't have the week to week experience, I feel like JJK is just gonna be one of those stories that you read, finish, and then just not really think that much about it again. You'll feel the emotions, but unless you were there, it's not really gonna stick with you like many other stories.
JJK's biggest problem was expectations, you can't just write 2 of the best modern shonen arcs (Hidden Inventory and Shibuya) back to back and then follow up with: -an arc like the CG were characters barely interact, barely get any development and wich rellies on a ton of bs for anything to work out ("oh, Yuji didn't include himself in the BV, also knocking someone out isn't hurting them" or "I used gravity to negate the effects of you GIANT FREAKING BLACK HOLE, gg ez"), then follow up that arc with an amazing fight that ends in the worst way posible while character assasinating your most famous character and then follow up that fight with a 40 chapter long fight cycle only to barely resolve any plot lines in the last 3 chapters and expect people to still find it amazing. It had all the ingredients for an amazing story, but Gege just threw them randomly at the stove and expected it to work out, that or he just gave up on it and started writing it as if it was a job instead of a work of passion (I know it's his actual job, but you get what I mean). also, day 63 of waiting for a Luka Levi Game of Thrones video (and I now realize that GOT and JJK kinda had the same thing happen to them lol).
JJK was cursed the moment Gege actually got sick during Perfect Prep. Once that occurred people should have realized that Gege didn't want to work on the Manga anymore.
Health and problems will always find a way to mangaka no matter where they are fam. Also, yuji didn't include himself. How is that bad? This was yuji when he didn't know anything about CE or BV and just wanted to save ppl, which was the mindset he was on. Knocking someone out through pressure points isn't the same as knocking them out with your fist. Harm occurs when there's "physical injury" this doesn't fly, and sukuna took a gamble on yuji including himself in the BV, which you have to be very specific on what you give such as a monkey's paw. Kenjaku is smart, especially with how he used the techniques lapse, so I have no problem with it. Gojo, despite being cocky, can be humble him admitting defeat doesn't make him a sour loser, and he respects sukuna's strength. I dont know what ppl find so bad with CG. I mean, all the characters were separated and couldn't have interaction when they were in different colonies. I know the anime will find a way to add interesting things to fill in the gaps, so I'm not too worried. Overall, I don't think he didn't care. Otherwise, he wouldn't have admitted to mistakes, wanted to add new things, tried to make a satisfying ending, and all that.
@@faith4657 You just recognized and talked about the gaps that you hope the anime to fill. In a manga as quick as JJK, Culling Games took their sweet time on fights that were meaningful, but weren't the main story. This would be fine if it wasn't for the manga being super quick anywhere else
@gammaf1365 I mean, doesn't mean they can't add things. Like gege already claimed, he wanted to fill in some things. This will be his time to do that. Plus, with the databooks, he can tell us more.
As much as I absolutely love JJK and all the raw hype and fun, I don't get why Megumi just comes back in the end. He says several times that he gives up, and in the last few chapters even, Yuji goes in and tells him he understands and cannot ask him not to give up, but then he just... gets better out of nowhere ig. What was up with all that? 10/10 manga tho. Waiting on the Takaba comedy spinoff manga.
Wouldn't say he really got better, but more so decided to try living and see where it goes, as he said himself. Yes, he laughs when reading Gojo's letter, but the rest of the time he clearly has that look of "hopeless determination" (depressed, but keeps going) his dad had back in Naoya's childhood flashback YUJI AND NOBARA LIVING IS LITERALLY THE ONLY REASON WHY MEGUMI ISN'T PUTTING A BULLET IN HIS HEAD
@Slukig I get that but what was the point of Yuji going and telling Megumi's soul that he understands and accepts Megumi's right to give up? We don't see Megumi getting shaken by that even slightly or anything. I don't hate that he came back. I just find it odd with how much setup going towards him choosing death but how little towards him choosing to give it another shot (not a shot between his eyes though lol).
"Don't see him shaken or anything" Brother, the entire point of that scene is Yuji letting Megumi go while letting him know just how much he cares about him, it's why right afterwards we see Megumi's thoughts about what's the most important in life to him and why he starts actively fighting against Sukuna by tripping him up with liquid shadows (even if just once) and refusing to let him keep using the body at the end.
He lived after hearing how much Yuji cared about him. Megumi didn't believe in himself, but he believed in the belief that Yuji had for him (if that makes sense)

Despite how I feel about the end of the Culling Games arc and Shinjuku Showdown, I can’t bring myself to say that the series as a whole is bad. The highs were so high and there were enough elements that were still good to me by the end. JJK has a lot of flaws and for that I don’t think the series is great, but I do think the series is good even if it’s average. Did I want it to be more than that? Yes, but hey sometimes a 7/10 doesn’t hurt every once in a while
Also the piano part went hard seeing all of your previous videos. The community was fun with the memes too as you mentioned. I’ll definitely be sticking around to the channel as I enjoy more than just JJK of course
@@waffleboi7487it's 6/10. The major problem is not how the resolutions of the storylines Jjk had was done it was that it had little resolutions. In the penultimate chapter, there literally was clans war on the rise and that got ignored that's just one of those storylines left open and flat.
Like you said, JJK was one hell of a ride. The anime portion is especially great, with season 2 being the best overall collection of fights I have ever seen (Choso vs Yuji, Sukuna vs Mahoraga, Yuji and Todo vs Mahito, etc.) But one thing I find myself doing with stories in general is reflecting back on it's shortcomings after I finish it, and boy did JJK have a lot of them. The overarching plot with Sukuna's fingers was severely mishandled, Geto being dead from the start was a cool reveal but lessened his intrigue, and overall so many wasted/underdeveloped characters and plotlines it hurts. These are only a few of the issues I found, but I don't want this to become a hate post. What made JJK truly special was that it could keep us wholly invested despite its flaws. The power system was so incredibly cool (with extremely questionable power scaling, among other things) and the Domain Expansion has to be one of the most iconic abilities ever as of now. It was so funny seeing what kind of BS we'd be in for chapter after chapter (think, "Sukuna will climb Jacob's ladder lmao," *actually proceeds to climb it.*) And while I was disappointed that I couldn't take it seriously after a certain point, it made the viewing experience that much more hilarious. Sorry about the word salad, but there's so much that I want to convey about this piece of media that I could actually talk for days about it. I would have loved to have seen a JJK with more coherent characters, plot, and power scaling. There's so much there that's already worth analyzing and exploring. That's why it's so disappointing to see the direction it went. As much as I have to say negatively about JJK, this series lives rent free in my head all the time. It's not a perfect story, and may not even be a good one, but the impact it had on me and countless others wasn't something just any manga could do. I'm done rambling now, have a nice day :)
There's no criticism worse for a story then to look back when it's finished and go "what a fucking waste of time that was" The last panel being a shot of Sukuna's finger flipping off the audience sums it up nicely, I think
I think i personally was dissapointed with the story part of jjk (second half) purely because i was comparing it to chainsawman and while i think chainsaw mans story is better jjk was an absolutely awesome experience reading weekly
"Nah, I'm him!" *Midroll ad starts.* I apologize for underestimating you, Luka! I didn't think you'd go this far!! Anyway, memes aside. On an enjoyability scale, solid 8/10 on its own. 9.5/10 with the community included, held back by the shitty finale. As a story, I would give it a 7.5/10 overall. Above average, but not *too* impressive in retrospective. Still, the manga had a novel approach to many concepts and the fights were legendary, so gotta give the story credit where it's due.
JJK is the first anime/manga I’ve ever actually gotten to understand and I think it was alright I wish there was more character building with people like Ozawa and it would have been nice to have a Sukuna origin or maybe the merger happening
One of my favorite video game character is Roland from library of ruina because he has alot great interactions with the other characters and has an amazing backstory. Roland is the protagonist of the amazing game Library of Ruina and has gone through alot of things in his career as a fixer but we only discover that as we progress in the game. He has some very interesting themes and they are very well executed but I wont talk about it too much because its better to experience it yourself.
I always saw jjk and csm as equals.but after the horrendous ending from jjk i have to be honest, csm is better now but atleast i got to know your channel
@@Mari-sg2pp yeah i meant the hype died for csm, but its for obvious reasons, the story did become boring compared to the beginning, the current arc is not as interesting. The manga rythme is not on point as well which contributed even more to its downfall.
Best part of jjk was meeting all these new youtubers. Now i get to watch them dodge the "put the fries in the bag" allegations. May you forever dodge them papa Levi
Costumes to look for: Toji - What your reason for working out? Mei Mei - How was the diddy party? (Doubt you’ll find her tho) Sukuna - How does it feel to have the author by your side Todo/You - How are you such a goat/what is your advice for people wanting to walk your path
My fav videogame character has got to be Kiryu Kazuma from the Yakuza series. I just love the amazing journey that we live with him throughout the games, his stoic demeanor makes the emotional, happy and even sad moments even more powerful because at the end it reminds us, that kiryu is human and he only desires happiness with his loved ones.
JJK was an absolute blast. Maybe it's just my own bias, but I tend to compare its writing to something like a D&D campaign - when you're writing your own campaign and setting, the process is very similar to what I imagine writing a manga for WSJ would be like - you have some idea of things, a few twists and turns up your sleeve, but so much of it comes off the cuff and in the moment, and it's evident in the writing of so many manga. Looking at it through that lens, I'm a little bit more lenient on the writing I suppose. Ultimately though, what I'm left asking myself is, if I was a player in this campaign Gege wrote, would I be happy with this conclusion? I think so 👌
@@Mari-sg2pp I thought it was. Writing choices like Yuta taking over Gojo's body, or Nobara coming back at the last moment the save the day are definitely worthy of criticism, but that doesn't mean that a person can't find them fun and enjoy those moments in the story. If you didn't, that's fine. We can agree to disagree 🤷♂
@@DarkAuraLord please, writing does not rely on enjoyment and all that, science is considered boring but does that make it bad? No. Jjk's writing wasn't a blast, the ones you listed are just the icing on the cake, if we go deep into this your statement would be proven false, you liked it, good. I do too, but that doesn't make the writing a blast. Writing has rules, and if you enjoy offscreen and all that, that doesn't make it good. Just because you like something doesn't make it good and vice versa.
My favourites Video Game characters is Grovyle from PMD2. Not only is he one of the coolest looking Starters, He also plays a pivotal role in which he starts out as an antagonist who reveals himself to be a strong and reliable ally, saving the world with his heroical sacrifice and betting everything on his teammate.
It had an interesting premise that it executed relatively well on and an incredible middle stretch but lost its way and failed to make us care about most of the cast. I enjoyed every second of the insanity around it though, and I don’t think there will be anything like it for some time.
Shinjuku showdown is my favourite arc in the manga, probably by far. I read it weekly and I liked it not nearly as much but honestly all in one sitting i love it.
Looking back at JJK I would give it a 7/10. Mostly good with great characters and hype moments but wasted potential. If I wanted to watch a darker Shonen I prefer HxH.
I actually really liked Gojo's death and thought it was in line with the theme of being the strongest. Gojo (and Kashimo) wanted to empathize with everyone else & not live in solitary as the strongest, so Sukuna answered them by showing them what it's like to not be the main character and treated them like NPCs. That why Sukuna called them "greedy", because they wanted to be able to empathize with people weaker then them, yet still act like the strongest and challenge someone like Sukuna. Gojo (and Kashimo) finally got to experience see what its like being weaker, what its like testing yourself by going all out. Thats why in the end, they were both satisfied and grateful.
I also think it was set up pretty well, from that "nah, id win" line I knew exactly how he was gonna go, his hubris would be the death of him and it was. JJK consistently has a theme of "nobody can do it alone" that I don't think people pick up on, but it's the reason it's called jump kaisen. Gojo wanted to do it alone and died a preventable death because of it, while yuji uses the combined strength of his friends and is saved by the people he loves. Yuji wins not because he's stronger, but because he's not alone
Truly jjk was sooo fun, every time a new chapter dropped it was like gambling on what wad gonna happen, the communtity was the best bit of jjk it was sooo fun, it was an experience more than the manga
Loved JJK, it would be nice to have the anime fill in things that gege wanted to add to the manga, cause we missed out on 4 chapters during the weeks gege was on break. I say too many ppl had way too high expectations, especially after the 5 chapter reveal and some of the plot points, some valid, weren't as important to the story or were not major enough. As for yuji, he changed a lot till the end, JJK from the start is always about bonds and relationships. that's why the themes with gojo and yuji hit so hard. I believe that's what gege was trying to say. Overall, I had a fun ride, and i can't wait for the databook to come out.
For me, JJK was peak all throughout until the last 3 chapters. My favorite animes/mangas always leave me with an existential and unexplainable feeling at the end, but JJK very much flopped. In my opinion, maybe if more characters were killed off and the characters acted more seriously at the end it would've been better. Either way it was consistently the best thing ever throughout. Every single chapter was hype. Also had the most beautiful animations in those thunderclap episodes in the anime (thank you MAPPA). Also also loved watching ur JJK vids 🤩
JJK is the Bleach of the current Era. Imo a Shonen needs at least 3/5 Pillars to stand tall being, aura/hype, world building, character growth, stakes and fights. Both Bleach and JJK far exceed two categories, falling short in the other three. JJK had dope Aura/Fights where as Bleach had aura/world building Both were meant to be a more serious and dark Shonen but ended up not having stakes, nor really fleshing out any characters completely. Again this is my opinion and I love both dearly, I just wish they had more ground to stand on.
Completely agree. JJK is ultimately a 7/10 but the sheer enjoyment that I got out of it while reading was insane. I've never been as obsessed with a series for so long before.
hey, i just wanted to say that i hope you keep making non-jjk content. i feel bad sometimes for not clicking on them in my recommended because i think youre really entertaining
The “Shibuya arc happened too early" holds some credits for me, because it was start of the problems to come, hidden behind its absolute quality. Too many good characters, especially on the villain side, were got rid of, and so did the time spent for fleshing them out. Then we got introduce to so many characters, that needed more time fleshing out, but it never happened. Which significantly dropped my engagement to the story, and I mentally checked out. Only when I found jujutsufolk, I somewhat started enjoying the manga again, but unfortunately not in the same way as before. TLDR: Culling Game was such a slog, but its problems started with Shibuya arc.
gege stated a bajillion times that he wanted to end the series and start on his next manga, from basically since perfect preparation. it is possible he'll be like Kubo and redo the entire anime of the stuff he didn't like, but I doubt it
I think we needed a bit more time to care about some characters. Maki's arc could have been better if we cared more about Mai and they do a better job at showing how her life sucked ass. Also Nobara should have lived and Gege should have given her a slightly weaker technique as its TOO OP since it targets the soul. I think Nobara embodied the theme of selfishness that was prevalent in the earliest chapters the most. Megumi and Yuji were very self-sacrifical and the narrative clearly nade that a bad thing and the conversation she had with Yuji after they murdered Choso's brothers made her character fit well into the theme and it made it seem like she was going to act as a anchor point in Yuji's life to help him care about his own life more
Great Video! Id say JJK is a SOLID 8/10 in my opinions but enjoyability wise its a 11/10. The most hype and community interaction ive ever had with a manga or anime. (Gojos gonna come back)
Ive never owned a manga, but if I had to id buy this one just cause of how crazy it was and I have core memories of chapters ive never read cause of yall. Amazing experience, im gonna miss it
I heavily disagree on the Megumi point. He changed throughout the history A LOT, especially during the Culling Games. He decapitated that fucking guy with no hesitation and seemed to be on a downward spiral to a very dark path. No doubt he could've turned into an incredibly powerful sorcerer if he went that path but, ultimately, Yuji proved Sukuna wrong. He taught him about love. It would've been so much worse if Megumi ended up adopting the selfish sorcerer mentality.
To be more specific, I do think his development was lacking, but not because "he ended up as the same" when that's precisely a point trying to be made. Turning into monsters isn't what Gojo wanted for his students

Ig he didn’t get her consent idk
Wut when
well there was the big discussion of "don't get in the way of gojo's 1v1" but yeah he totally could have had that ready for right after gojo died
Because gojo wanted a 1v1. Also she was still asleep at that point meaning she couldn’t make a binding vow with him, meaning in order to use her technique he would have to consume a lethal part of her.
@@darkmatter9643 if gojo wanted a 1v1 why did he get utahime and old guy to boost his purple up
At the End of the day geges random ass writing style is what made the manga so interesting. I mean who just offscreens the most popular character in the manga? No one would be that stupid, right? But like you said before the last few chapters, everyone could die. I wouldn´t have been suprised if Yuji died at the end and thats what made the fight so hype. Just remembering the "Kusakabe is the last one standing" week makes me smile again. So even tho JJK wasn´t perfect, thank you Gege, truly from the bottom of my heart. Overall 8/10 Enjoyability 10/10
But Gojo's death wasn't really random. It seemed very much pre-planned and well placed especially to end a character of his status...
@@AryanSingh-yy9mw I also think so, I wanted to use the more general reaction to his death. Like I said his unconventional writing style is the reason the manga is so big

This truly was our Jujutsu Kaisen.

The reason why Shibuya was so good was because the previous 2 arcs set up for the climax on Shibuya from the Disaster Curses to Gojo backstory all coming full circle. Culling Games had set ups but Shinjuku being the climax and coming full circle did not happend, it failed were Shibuya succeded. What Culling Games set up did not pay off. RiP
Maybe the anime will pull a TYBW and add some things especially to the characters.
Anime is the last hope for any other pay off we could get. But even if not, JJK is always gonna have a whole warehouse of estate in my heart. Loved this shit man, the good and bad.
Me when I lie.
Maybe the Jujutsu Kaisen are the Agendas we made along the way.
They sure are, king
can’t believe gojo came back to talk about his manga
I just can never get over the idea of Gege not showing us the characters' inputs on situations. To this day, yuji does not know
Kenjaku is his mom
He is related to Sukuna(in a way)
He had a finger from before the events of the story.
It just feels weird that we are given this information, and the characters are not in a non-mystery type story. It's insane to me.
I'm pretty sure Yuji does know the 1st one, the flashback to Kenjaku being his mom was from his POV

Same this could have been solved if gege didn't have favoritism towards sukuna
I hope you pick up literally any ongoing manga.
undead unluck is so sad because the intro is its weakest part, and basically everything after chapter 100 is just 10/10 chapter after 10/10 chapter
Am I Luka's biggest fan? Who knows? What I do know is that I'm in your walls Luka. Be afraid.
As per usual I will harass you and ask for a Fata Morgana playthrough.
I’m his biggest fan(I’m morbidly obese)
After all the hype calms down (it's reaching that point) and all the new readers don't have the week to week experience, I feel like JJK is just gonna be one of those stories that you read, finish, and then just not really think that much about it again. You'll feel the emotions, but unless you were there, it's not really gonna stick with you like many other stories.
10:41 absolutely glorious piano skills as expected from my goat king Gojo Satoru 😍
What's the song he's covering? I can almost put my finger on it someone help!
the real plot point that gege should’ve resolved was how much did kenjaku really enjoy taking those backshots
JJK's biggest problem was expectations, you can't just write 2 of the best modern shonen arcs (Hidden Inventory and Shibuya) back to back and then follow up with:
-an arc like the CG were characters barely interact, barely get any development and wich rellies on a ton of bs for anything to work out ("oh, Yuji didn't include himself in the BV, also knocking someone out isn't hurting them" or "I used gravity to negate the effects of you GIANT FREAKING BLACK HOLE, gg ez"), then follow up that arc with an amazing fight that ends in the worst way posible while character assasinating your most famous character and then follow up that fight with a 40 chapter long fight cycle only to barely resolve any plot lines in the last 3 chapters
and expect people to still find it amazing.
@@shirothr5384If at that moment he didn’t want to work on the manga anymore why did he write another 100+ chapters after that?
That was cinematic with your playing and the photos, loved seeing it
I'm in this world watching gojo in real life this is a good time to be alive
As much as I absolutely love JJK and all the raw hype and fun, I don't get why Megumi just comes back in the end. He says several times that he gives up, and in the last few chapters even, Yuji goes in and tells him he understands and cannot ask him not to give up, but then he just... gets better out of nowhere ig. What was up with all that? 10/10 manga tho. Waiting on the Takaba comedy spinoff manga.
Wouldn't say he really got better, but more so decided to try living and see where it goes, as he said himself.
Yes, he laughs when reading Gojo's letter, but the rest of the time he clearly has that look of "hopeless determination" (depressed, but keeps going) his dad had back in Naoya's childhood flashback
YUJI AND NOBARA LIVING IS LITERALLY THE ONLY REASON WHY MEGUMI ISN'T PUTTING A BULLET IN HIS HEAD
"Don't see him shaken or anything"
Brother, the entire point of that scene is Yuji letting Megumi go while letting him know just how much he cares about him, it's why right afterwards we see Megumi's thoughts about what's the most important in life to him and why he starts actively fighting against Sukuna by tripping him up with liquid shadows (even if just once) and refusing to let him keep using the body at the end.

@@waffleboi7487it's 6/10. The major problem is not how the resolutions of the storylines Jjk had was done it was that it had little resolutions. In the penultimate chapter, there literally was clans war on the rise and that got ignored that's just one of those storylines left open and flat.

Luka we gotta hear the culling game joke
There's no criticism worse for a story then to look back when it's finished and go "what a fucking waste of time that was"
The last panel being a shot of Sukuna's finger flipping off the audience sums it up nicely, I think
I think i personally was dissapointed with the story part of jjk (second half) purely because i was comparing it to chainsawman and while i think chainsaw mans story is better jjk was an absolutely awesome experience reading weekly

"Nah, I'm him!"

I apologize for underestimating you, Luka!
I love JJK with all my heart, without it I never would have met my goat Jogoat.
JJK is the first anime/manga I’ve ever actually gotten to understand and I think it was alright I wish there was more character building with people like Ozawa and it would have been nice to have a Sukuna origin or maybe the merger happening

I think so 👌
Jjk's writing wasn't a blast, the fandom was and the ride there was. The writing was something else. Stop the campaign whatever this is story writing.
Thanks to jujutu kaisen, I was able to meet you I consider that a generation W
Truly jjk was sooo fun, every time a new chapter dropped it was like gambling on what wad gonna happen, the communtity was the best bit of jjk it was sooo fun, it was an experience more than the manga
the best thing about jjk was the community, the amount of memes, theories, brainrot we had was so much fun it was so enjoyable.
JJK had dope Aura/Fights where as Bleach had aura/world building
Both were meant to be a more serious and dark Shonen but ended up not having stakes, nor really fleshing out any characters completely. Again this is my opinion and I love both dearly, I just wish they had more ground to stand on.

Dopamine, shock value, and hype... that's all JJK was. Good moments and some cool characters, but... 6/10 for me.
What if instead of simple domain lore we got bindong vow lore
There are few auras I enjoy looking at more in anime than cursed energy, it’s so simple but it looks so nice
I get the feeling Shounen Jump rushed Akutami to finish the story in the shortest time possible, it wouldn't be the first time they've done that 🤷♀️
nahh i think gege just got tired and wanted to end as soon as possible
gege stated a bajillion times that he wanted to end the series and start on his next manga, from basically since perfect preparation. it is possible he'll be like Kubo and redo the entire anime of the stuff he didn't like, but I doubt it
I have faith, cause his said he wanted to add things he couldn't in the manga.
And in this video we'll be going over these competitive formats
5:28 average berserk panel 😂
Ngl average mha panel

Honestly completely agree with your conclusion, not the best story of all time but by far the most enjoyable.
Megumi and Yuji were very self-sacrifical and the narrative clearly nade that a bad thing and the conversation she had with Yuji after they murdered Choso's brothers made her character fit well into the theme and it made it seem like she was going to act as a anchor point in Yuji's life to help him care about his own life more
I think the Culling Games are like. Perfectly average if a little bellow that. The problem is that it could have been so peak.
LUKA LOOK FOR A CHOSO COSPLAY. My king CHOSO
The second half of jjk was so disappointing.
The fanbase actually pushed me to the end including your vids
Great Video! Id say JJK is a SOLID 8/10 in my opinions but enjoyability wise its a 11/10. The most hype and community interaction ive ever had with a manga or anime. (Gojos gonna come back)
6:57 Loved those character designs!!!
I will never forgive the series for not ending with Gege telling the audience “you are my special” 😔
3:58 The Merger was Kenjaku's goal. Absolute chaos and havoc. If this happens, Kenjaku wins. No one could fight it by the end.
Ive never owned a manga, but if I had to id buy this one just cause of how crazy it was and I have core memories of chapters ive never read cause of yall. Amazing experience, im gonna miss it
Yooo those flashbacks had me in tears 😢😢
Sex eyes 3:46 the fact I singled out the word sex says a lot about me
