- hooo boy it's finally here! Lego Raiders Of the Lost Ark! i really out did myself here. didn't think i had another big project in me this year, but this one turned out to the biggest and best one yet. This is my favourite movie of all time, so a lot of passion went into this project and it definitely shows.
it was over 105 hours of work, and 11,396 frames but it was all 100% worth it!
Enjoy my recreation of Raiders Of the Lost Ark!

I love how just like in the movie the door keeps reseting in every shot
Haha that was some unintentional accuracy. The door moves too far down each shot despite slowly pushing it down each frame so i had to reset it every time.
classic
Ya it does
I LOVE THIS! So happy to see LEGO Indiana Jones stuff
Thank you! I'm currently working on the last crusade at the moment so i hope your excited!
I loved the lighting and special effects used. Especially during the opening of the ark sequence. Animating those cloth things must have been so hard. Also the way you animated the face melting was so great.
Thank you so much! It was such a pain lol. The opening the ark scene was so hard to do, i had so much masking to do once i was done but i love how it came out, especially the 3 deaths
I personally would have put Toht and the others in front of an actual flame. Then they would have actually melted. You can even put jam inside for a more gruesome effect!
It definitely sounds cool, but you would have a lot less control over how good the final effect would turn out. The way i did it was really the only way to do it and have it look good.
Alright!
Nostalgic... and very super!
the ark opening scene was outstanding
Thank you! That still is one of the best things I've animated
All is just so smooth I thought it was one of those official lego club stop motions, very well done!
Wow, thank you! I really stepped it up with temple of doom, you should check that one out too!
OMG!!! This was so incredible and accurate. I especially loved how you recreated this movie's most gruesome scene at 10:52-11:07.
Thank you! I'm really proud of the opening the ark scene and still think it looks good no matter how times i look at it
@@CLEGOFILMS1 You’re very welcome! This is definitely my #1 favorite of your LEGO Indiana Jones trilogy.
Nice animation dude! Also ive got a question, how many frames per second do you animate in? Its looks really smooth.
Thank you! I animated this at 15fps, but now i animate at 24fps on 2s (or 1s for camera movement) because it looks smoother.
Thanks
as someone who has tried to use camera movement in Lego stop motion, I know how incredibly hard it is to do well. The camera movement here is pristine. just fantastic work in general
Thank you man, the camera was such an important aspect in the making of the indiana jones trilogy. If it moved in the original scene, then it moves in my lego recreation no matter how hard it would be to achieve that movement.
This video feels like it was made 15 years ago, brings back my memories of watching Lego Indiana Jones videos on UA-cam long time ago. great job!😀
Thanks man!
Very well done!
This is very well made, trust me, I know stop motion is a painful process. Keep it up
The Toht face melting scene was especially amazing
This was fantastic, you hit all the most important scenes and recreated them so well with very accurate movements and sets! Your style of recaps is very unique and I can’t wait to watch more!
Thank you so much! I have the dark knight next on the list of movies to do, but that won't be made for a while
@@CLEGOFILMS1 nice! I'll be looking out for that one!
Nice video man especially the opening of the ark scene reminds me of playing the LEGO Indiana jones game
Thanks! Thats one of my favourite scenes I've animated and i think it turned out great
Dude all I have to say is this is the best indana jones animation out there from the sand to the guys getting there eyes blasted
Thank you! That shot of the sand was very difficult and tedious to do. Took me 4 hours to do it
I am amazed by the pure talent of this and the love for Indy! The fact you were able to fit almost the entire movie in 12 minutes That is amazing! I randomly just found this by searching Lego Indiana Jones and this is what I found and then I just found your temple of Doom one which I'm just about to watch in a few here I'm hoping and I'm going to assume that you're going to make Last Crusade! Anyways awesome job!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm really happy the love for indy comes across in the animation. Last crusade is coming, currently animating the tank chase and have 12 minutes done out of 15 minutes, so look foward to that!
@@CLEGOFILMS1 You're welcome anytime! Any fan of Indy is a friend of mine! An awesome I look forward to seeing your last Crusade project!
Almost Halfway through but I had to pause and say . Holy cow this is one ot the BEST lego stop motion films I've ever seen. My favorite movie is Raiders of the Lost Ark and you did it justice. Give yourself a pat on the back for me.
Thank you! I'm glad you really enjoyed it!
As an Indiana Jones fan, this is impressive. You're quite underrated, keep up the good work
Thank you! I absolutely love indiana jones so yeah I've got the passion to do it as good as i can
This is so good! I didn’t expect it to be relatively smooth yet so accurate at the same time!
As far as I am concerned this is a perfect lego stopmotion, it is everything Stopmotion is meant to be or ever has to be. You didn’t even cut corners! It’s like 10 minutes for goodness sakes! This creation earns high praise from me, especially for the credits!!!
Thank you!
Wow thank you! Those are some of the kindest words someone has said about my animations! I'm glad you thought it was perfect!
@@CLEGOFILMS1 it really has the feel of the old Indiana Jones ds games and old Stopmotion videos from the 80s. That’s something hard to replicate
Awesome job with the Lego's.
everything is fine, but the use of plasticine looks terrible.
Plasticine?? I don't use plasticine. I use blu tack. It shouldn't be as visible as it is, but sometimes it's hard to hide it and you need to use more to get it to stick better.
This is spectacular
This is awesome! My only real gripe is that you skipped over the truck chase scene. That would have been really cool to see in Lego form. But I get that stop motion takes a LOT of time and would have been a lot of pictures to take.
Yeah always regretted skipping over the truck chase but i did make up for it by doing the mine car and the tank chase from the other 2 movies. Maybe one day I'll attempt the scene again!
@@CLEGOFILMS1 Yes! You should definitely consider remaking this with some of the cut scenes!
If you do do that, I think you should put more emphasis on the scenes that are important to the story of the film, such as Toht interrogating Marion (and the subsequent gunfight for her medallion), Indy finding the Well of Souls in the Map Room, and Indy going undercover to save Marion on the island.
Damn bro this animation looks wild😮 is really smooth! How many fps did you use?
Thank you! I animate at 15fps

Very nice👍👌
10:55 😂
Nice ty for this content
Thank you for watching! I always wished there was these videos on youtube when i was younger so i thought "fine, I'll do it myself"
@@CLEGOFILMS1 👍
Ayo, sure you get this a lot but what camera did you use for this and did you use some kind of camera track to do the zoom in shots? Got to say I love your style for stop motion. You make the movements so fluid but yet cartoony and it works so well for Lego
First off, thank you! I'm glad you like my style. I use a very basic galaxy a52 phone camera, and the zoom is done manually by just zooming in very slowly each frame, the camera doesn't move in those shots
@@CLEGOFILMS1 considering how many limitations you have with doing stop motion on a phone the fact that this is as good as it is impressive to say the least. It's hard to put my finger on it but the style you use for this just reminds me of the Lego DS game and stop motion videos from the 80s. It's a great style. I assume you do 24 frames per second? There's just several moments throughout these 3 videos we're I'm like "how did he do that?" and that's what you want when it comes to this hobby so big congrats.
Thank you! When i read comments like these it really makes me smile because it tells me I'm doing it correctly if these low budget videos can impress people enough to make them wonder how i did things. My animations are 15fps. And yeah, my style is a very cartoony but smooth style. It's become its own thing now that works for my videos where it has an odd flow. The arc will be small > biggest > smaller > smallest, so some ease in and out is cut to keep the movement snappy, but i still follow all the animation principles. What might impress you even more is that i don't have a desk since i don't have room for it, so all these animations are done on the floor. (Carpeted ofc, tiled floor would be a nightmare since the set would slide around)
you figured that after surviving the temple of doom Indy would've been able to handle to see what was in the ark
Buena buena buena 👏👏👏👏👏 el mundo LEGO para muchas películas
bro how much time do you have to make these 5-10 Minute Videos!?!? oh Yeah also Nice freaking job bro!
I just basically grind until it's done, every day. And thanks I'm glad you liked it!
This is soooo good!!! You should do Lego Jaws when the set comes out!
Theres a lego jaws set??
This was amazing! Keep up the good work! ❤
Thank you!
My content is better uttp is way better than megakaimovies i hope he will never return
Delicious, finally, some good f*cking content
7:27 what is a Soviet soldier doing next to a German soldier?
Thats colonel Dietrich. Not a soviet soldier. Lego never made his figure, and thats the best i could do to make my own
@@CLEGOFILMS1 Lego did make a version of him in Lego Indiana game 1 & 2
Yeah, but hes not an offiical minifgure in any sets, they never released him. And his design in the games is completely custom, lego didn't make that torso
Wow
The characters bounced too much when simply talking but other than that it was good
Thanks, yeah thats my style of animation. I wanted to make it more cartoony but it's more expressive in the ones I'm currently working on. I wanted to fill all the dialogue with movement instead of them just sitting there.
How exactly were you able to create the ghost effects for this?
I used cotton and had 2 layers. One background layer with the characters reacting to nothing, and the one with the ghosts. I then put the two together and turned down the opacity on the ghost layer creating a transparent look
@@CLEGOFILMS1 That’s almost just like how it was Jon in the actual movie, and I think that’s really impressive. I’m also quite curious on how you were able to do the demises of Dietrich, Toht and Belloq.
Well the three deaths is really more about the animation. Since they all just use lego studs. But Dietrich was just shake the head and then it's a cylinder. Toht was to start with flesh coloured studs falling off the face and then turn to red studs and replace the head with a skeleton seamlessly, whilst also dipping the hat lower and his body towards the fire, which is a detail a lot of people who have done the face melt scene kinda missed and it adds to it. Belloq was just using lego 1x2 trans red plates to give the effect of a smear frame during the explosion, as well as having 2 paper eyeballs fly past for extra effect. It's kinda hard to explain how i did them i just kinda thought about and animated it and it looked good, just trial and error really. Dietrich took 2 or 3 tries, Toht took 1 since it was the longest shot to do and i had to get it right the first time, and Belloq took about 5 or 6.
@@CLEGOFILMS1 Well I think they’re really great nonetheless. I actually did something like that in my LEGO retelling of Anakin Skywalker transforming into Darth Vader where he uses the force to destroy everything in the medical room. One of those things are the two bacta tanks from one of the medical droids, and the way I made it look like the liquid was coming out of them was by moving the dark red and bright green cylinders and then I put two clear ones in their places to make it look like the bottoms of the bottles broke and the liquid spilled out.
This so amazing! How did you put the audio from the movie in the stop motion? And did you get permission for that?
No, i don't have permission but i simply just take the film audio and convert it to mp3 and animate over it to stop motion studio.
Okay I really love how you did the opening the ark scene with the cotton very good.
Thank you! That has to be one of my favourite things I've ever animated tbh
This makes up for the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
NEW Lego Indiana Jones SETS 2023
Yeah i got them, they're pretty great
This is actually pretty good 10/10
Thank you!
Man this was so fun to watch it’s spot on😂
Thank you! I really love indiana jones and i wanted to put as much effort as possible into it
good job on the background, super detailed
Thank you! I'm really proud of the set design in this video
The Toht face melt scene was done with amazing creativity! Good job!
Thank you! That's my favourite shot in the whole animation lol. It's one of those rare moments when everything just works out once and i don't need to do it again. I also really liked the exploding and shrinking heads, but they took the most tries to do since they were shorter and there were chances to do it again, the face melt was a one shot type of thing. I really like how his hat dips lower and he turns towards the fire. Not many lego recreations did that and i wanted to go all out with it.
@@CLEGOFILMS1 Ive tried recreating that scene in a few ways via stopmotion, but none of them have turned out the way I was hoping, the Belloq head exploding was great too, It was a shame Lego never produced a Toht or a Belloq (other than his peruvian jungle costume)
Yeah i know, it's a very hard scene to do. The head exploding also has his eyes popping out when it explodes but it's kinda hard to tell. I agree. I wish belloq was made in the white outfit we see him in most of the film in.
@@CLEGOFILMS1 I agree, it seems whenever any kind of Belloq figure is made it is based off the ceromatinal robes he wears the last part of the film
Nobel prize Chrissy, Nobel prize
Excellent job man this is insanely faithful and well done!
And hell yea my gif made it in
It's not about the prizes comindo,
Thank you so much man! Yeah i had to include the dancing gif. It really ties it together nicely. I can't wait to see what you do for Spider-Man 2!
This was so well done. I loved the arc scene, it was amazing.
The body waving while they talked was a tad aggressive, but funny
Thanks, yeah the aggressive bouncing is my style of animation. Some people don't like it but i feel it keeps things moving.
Nice man! Loved this recreation of Indy!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Please do more Indiana Jones❤️🥹
I did the trilogy, i don't know if I'll do the 4th and 5th but i will do something with the new sets!
That was wonderful! You plan to make any stop motions when the new sets come out?
Yes i do! I can't wait for them. It'll be more of a joke video though since I'm done with recreating the clips from the movies.
@@CLEGOFILMS1 awesome! Can’t wait!
So good! I love stop motion!
Very nice set design and ghost animations during the opening of the ark scene!
Thank you! I really like how the opening the ark scene came out, sadly the editing software held me back a bit but the stand out shot is the face melt which i still think looks great
The fact that he used Han Solo's head
Han solos head wasn't used in this? I used it for Donovan in last crusade
Good Animation You Made! (:
Thank you!
@@CLEGOFILMS1 You're Welcome Buddy
10/10! that was incredible!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This is fantastic work. You have a real passion for filmmaking and for Indiana Jones
Thank you! And yeah indiana jones is my favourite film franchise ever so I'm very passionate about it, and raiders of the lost ark is my favourite movie of all time
And on those two things, we agree. Despite myself I’m still a little excited for Indy 5. If I can enjoy Uncharted, I can enjoy 5. Here’s hoping it’s good
Can’t wait to see you remake the next 3 films in the Indiana Jones trilogy
I'm doing temple of doom and last crusade probs not crystal skull tho. I realllly don't like that one, i don't have any passion to make it.
@@CLEGOFILMS1 That's a shame, cause i did like Crystal Skull alot and found t as enjoyable as the other 3 films.. I respect you choice though.
Yeah, sorry mate. If i don't like the movie i won't do it in lego, same reason i never did the amazing Spider-Man movies. I need to like the film and have a certain level of passion in order to make them. The first 3 films i love so much, and i want to do them in lego. If indy 5 is good and i want to make it in lego I'll do indy 4 just for completions sake, like i did with Spider-Man 3. I didn't like the movie, but it needed to be done cause you gotta have the trilogy.
@@CLEGOFILMS1 I understand. Still, you made a great video.
Thank you for the kinds words mate!
Interesting use of the old Han Solo torso
Yeah lol i broke indys torso trying to get his arms off for out of socket movmenet so i had to use a different torso in those shots for out of socket movement. Now for last crusade i don't have that issue cause i found an old ass indy figure and the arms could come off easily.
11:00 yo this was perfect keep up the Lego animation
Thanks bro, that has to be one of my favourite things I've ever animated
Cool.
AWESOME!!!!
Thank you!
Can’t wait for the next animation, good luck, this was great
Thanks, I've already done temple of doom and last crusade releases this weekend!
Yeah, I watched temple of doom and it was great,
I’ll look out for the last crusade
Awesome job.
DUDE! That was AWESOME 👏
Thank you! I worked really hard on it and I'm glad you liked it
Well done, Indy. Well done indeed
Thank you!
Amazing!
Thank you!!
YEAH!!!
A 3-day-early birthday present for me!!! 😅
Happy birthday for 3 days later! Hope you enjoy the video!
super well done!! WOW
Thank you!
Very good stop motion !
Thanks!
this was amazing
Thank you!!
Ayy so cool!
Thanks man!
Dis is legendary
Thank you!
What’s the fps?
15 frames per second
Amazing
Thanks!
Good Job ❤❤
Thank you!
I liked this very much and the ark scene was amazing.
Thank you!
I liked The ark scene you made so much I actually made made my own version in lego as well
amazing!
Thanks!
Great Job!
Thank you!
Wonderful work, I love the way you recreated the opening of the ark, nice!
Thank you!
The second I saw the ending for this and how well detailed it was for the melting. Crushing and explosion head I had to sub instantly
Your now one of my favorite Lego animators no matter how bad the quality is
Thanks haha. I got super creative with the face melt, i wanted to do it right.
Everything is connected to the film!
You did a great job with the lighting at 6:53. Well done!
Thank you!
0:39 HELP!! MY EYES!!
Backwards lego legs are scary
Congratulations, very well reproduced, the scene with the opening of the Ark was well done.
Thank you! That opening the ark scene might be my favourite thing I've ever animated tbh
Wow! The three close up deaths when the arc is opened were masterfully done. Really great film you've made.
Thanks, i really like how the melting face turned out, that ones my favourite
Most of the video: Toht had glasses
Face melt: Toht loses his glasses
Scared the glasses off him.
That ark scene was amazing. Also the golden idle temple was spot on well done!
Thank you! I'm very happy with how those scenes came out!
How long did this take to film?
Him: yes
It actually took me about 3 weeks. The opening the ark scene took 2 weeks to edit since it was very time consuming to make all those ghosts opaque.
I’m so glad people are still making Lego Indiana Jones stop motion. I watched so much of this stuff when I was a kid
Yeah, i love indiana jones so I'm always happy to make lego indiana jones stop motions
Here before viral. cant wait!
Idk about viral but thanks!
@@CLEGOFILMS1 nah dude its gonna blow up, its too good not to
Thanks for the kind words, but we'll see!
I love the dramatic body movements when they talk. It takes me back
