Years ago, my aunt taught me to use a frozen cheese pizza and put toppings on it, and bake. That was really good. Now I know to take a sheet of crescent dough and make pizza with rhe toppings we like. I leave off the cheese because husband is lactose intolerant. But still a good meal with a salad!

I recall from the early ‘60’s we had a grocery store the boxed I think Chef Boy Are dee that we would make. It was very good. You had to let the dough rise but worth it.

I like a LOT of sauce on my pizza. I’ve found that I have to bake the crust first, then put my sauce and cheese on. The only topping I like is ham. My husband would love this. I used to bake my pizza in a cast iron skillet, but I can’t lift It anymore, so I’m stuck using a pizza pan.

A friend is coming to visit me soon from several states away and she is a vegetarian, so making two pizzas is the way to go. Pepperoni and Sausage for me... plus onions and banana peppers... Yum. I tried this one today. I cooked it for 20 minutes and my dough didn't get cooked through on the bottom and was soggy. I like the two ingredient pizza dough (self-rising flour & plain greek yogurt). It's a little more work, but much better...have you tried it?
Question....If you want a thicker crust could you just put 2 rolled out crescent dough on top each other? And if yes are there any different instructions you'd give? Ps...Absolutely right about the toppings these days. We order double and still there are hardly any on there. Time to make it at home!!

When I make spaghetti sauce, hamburgers, and homemade Hamburger Helper, I always add Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage. So flavorful.

No, I've never tried it.
I always wash my mushrooms quickly under running water. A lot of dirt comes off. They don't absorb much water. and if you cook them it doesn't matter.

I'm not sure if the crescent dough is different than the crescent rolls but I made pizza using the rolls and wasn't a fan of the texture of the crust.
It's the same texture, but you can use any type of crust you like.
