Just for your Information, this beautiful looking European city was, built by the British. This is well built, clean and does look like you are in Europe. They should have built everywhere they colonized like this before they gave them Independence.. however Respect to them for this, and also to the Rwandans who are keeping it clean. I hope the dirty and rubbish heaped in other African countries should take note.

Rwanda is not a british colony and joined the commonwealth in the 2000s to increase it's opportunities with anglophones as was the case with francophones. 2. The brits however never built the infrastructure, not their money, not even their firms, unlike the turks(turkish firms) and chinese. 3. Rwanda still does receive a lot of aid, including british, that aid though, would not build a city, let alone a country, these are sent through various partnership with ministries and organisations for specific reasons, e.g: a certain project in agriculture or health,... 4. Foreign countries don't build skycrapers, investors do, plus local entrepreneurs, cooperatives, ... These investors are attracted by a profitable environment, which Rwanda definitely has. 5. Most of these buildings are actually very new and are indicative of economic growth, most of the owners were not doing as well just a little over a decade ago and most certainly didn't envision to be as successful, they truly wanted to, but the state of the country facilitated their journey. 6. Most countries don't lack people who can build this, those people just lack confidence in those countries. 7. Also, if you were a powerful economy, would you build a country up to use it, or would you use an already functional one, also, most people underestimate these little countries as to who is using who, the world our grand kids will live in could prove that Rwanda did in fact use the west to more advantage than they did use Rwanda.
But also you have to know that Rwanda is a small country it is nine times smaller than Uganda. I think Uganda needs a new capital city. I cry for Uganda. I am happy that It is developing but how can the most expensive highway in the world have only two lanes?
Whenever I see excuses like this I get more worried I understand Rwanda is smaller than Uganda but how about you clean capital city only I mean Kampala
It is a shame that the Ugandan president has been in power for 38 years and Kampala and all other cities in Uganda look like trash yet Uganda has more resources, larger population and bigger land mass. Kagame has been able to do all this in just twenty years after a horrible genocide. There is no excuse for the Uganda president. That's why the people in Gabon were tired. I'm sure most Ugandan are tired but they are suppressed for voicing their opinion. For Uganda to get back on track the constitution needs to be changed back to a two term president first. Then get rid of all the corrupt politicians. That should be the first step.
