I love that she still says "hopefully you found this interesting" 😂 I mean, I would watch you and your mom sit down together with cocktails and talk us through how you're watching paint dry 🤷‍♀️ I like when you walk us through what's actually happening, instead of contriving some project in order to get a video out! All your content is so helpful, or at least entertaining 😜❤️

Was just saying this to my husband. Laura, if you’re reading this, 99% of us don’t have the size space you have or the access to the resources you have - when we watch your stuff we get to follow along on your gardening adventure from start to finish and in some way feel like WE were part of it. Shoot as much as you feel comfortable sharing. We’re here for it all.

While watching this video I was thinking to myself “I bet Laura doesn’t need to think about any exercise regimen” because holy cow the amount of physical labor you do in a day is astounding! If you wore a fitness tracker the number of steps you take in a day would be off the charts! It is no wonder that you look so fit and trim😀

I will never have the need for a high tunnel but find it all very interesting. I do enjoy seeing your resourcefulness such as building your own tables - keeping in mind how far you can reach, using the scrap wood for 3 or 5 gallon containers, etc. Paul is certainly a valuable member of the team and his pigs are the happy recipients of leftovers :) It's a win-win.

Laura, you are just a stud. I’m always so impressed at what you do. Having a lot of back problems and health issues, I have always relied heavily on my husband for so much of the physical labor. Seeing just how much you do on your own has actually inspired me to do more. I put in the drip system in a small flower bed all on my own, which is something I would have never done before. I still can’t do much, but let me just say because of you (and Jess at Roots and Refuge) I’ve done more this year than ever and I’m so proud of myself. Please keep showing us everything you do, it’s never boring and always inspirational.

Thank you for being real! I am constantly reevaluating my plans for our garden space so it is comforting not to feel that I can’t make a decision but the great idea I had today might not work out so well when I spend more time considering all the options. We all live and learn. Please do not take this as criticism but “Florida weave” style is GREAT here in Florida where we MUST prune our extra growth, keep good air flow, to reduce fungal pressure. However, when I lived in Arizona the extra foliage on tomato plants helped shelter the tomatoes from the blistering sun. Without the extra foliage (and afternoon shade or shade cloth) tomatoes didn’t fare so well. I suspect your summer is more like Arizona than Florida.

I would listen to you read a phone book, if they still existed! You have no idea how much I learn from you in every video! I’m an old (75 years ) gardener but still learning and trying new things. You’ve helped me up my game this year as we purchased 5 acres and built a new house. Now I have a huge blank slate in which to play! We’ve put in trees and a few flower gardens and I have raised beds and drip irrigation materials to add next spring. Can’t wait to get going! I’m having shoulder surgery soon and hope to be totally recovered in time to plant! Thanks for all the ideas, advice, invaluable information, and fun! 😘🤗

Hi Laura! Your flowers in the cut-flower-garden look beautiful. Will you be making flower arrangements to give away again? I think that was so sweet when you and your mom did that.

Yes, of course we are interested! We are on this gardening journey with you! I know you don’t usually wear gloves, I’m the same when I work with the dirt, but for building materials, they are a must! Please wear gloves! I was afraid you were going to cut your hands on something 😬😬 I speak from experience! Take care of those hands 😘👋🏼👌🏼

So glad you shared the process of dismantling and storing the cold frame, as well as the clever table and support designs. Would love to know what ladders you were using… looked like they were lightweight but sturdy and tall enough to get to those hard to reach, elusive spaces! Thank you for always being informative and inspiring!

Or maybe a sundial area. It should be something really cool in that area. Something worth making the long trek from your home to see

If you haven't settled on a plan for the formal garden - I know Aaron wants to put a pathway in, and i think that's a fabulous idea - why not turn it into a perennial garden? You would certainly spend more time there with roses, peonies, and a lovely path to stroll down in the evenings. ~ Lisa

What if you put roses and peonies in the center of the cut flower garden? Chateau villandry in France had some really cool climbing roses around benches in the corners of their garden grid. You should check them out for inspiration!

I think you’d really enjoy having a roof over that compost area, or even part of it, so there would be protection for the stuff you store back there in the winter!

Hi Laura. Love watching your videos and hearing your thoughts as you plan your gardens. When you mention changing the dark border of the cutting flower garden from mulch to grass, I wonder if the green will blend together too much. I’ve really enjoyed how that area is defined and special as well as orderly. I know both you and Aaron love grass, but just had to throw that concern out there.
