Tommy comforting Davis after the loss is part of what makes this sport so beautiful. We all know where Davis is headed and he doesn't need sympathy, but in the heat of the moment it helps a lot. Beautiful fight. And the collective celebration, including Davis, is what makes the Norwegian BJJ scene so beautiful.
@@6laka. I personally think out of Jozef and Tommy, Tommy has the bigger chance of winning. Jozef passed Tommy's guard when he was trying to do a butterfly guard and flip him over, but Jozef managed to raise himself just high enough and kept his balance, essentially falling down on top of Tommy. Butterfly guard is not something Tommy does on the regular. 9 Points sounds a lot, but it was 2 for pass, 3 for mount and 4 for backtake.. of which Tommy got out of. I have no doubt Chen will do well, but it depends on who he meets. I do not think Chen can take Tommy again unless he has severely stepped up his game.
Great match. Langarker lower body dexterity is so impressive and to be fair, the way that the guy attempted to pass the guard when he lost the underhook battle almost worked and he get a nice back exposure, so congrats both
That was awesome! It really could’ve went either way. Davis was so close to passing and nearly took the back, but Tommy did a phenomenal job using the momentum of the pass to scramble to top position. The rear naked choke finish was the icing on top. I’d love to see a rematch.
@@christianstava3757 Gordon very likely can thank Tommy for his absolutely devastating loss which prompted him to go into juicing and Nogi. His entire fortune starting because he realized gi was not his game at that time.
Not by default. Davis is an up and coming Purple Belt that is easily among the top contenders for the future. He is a black belt by technique and physique, just not experience. He beat both Mateusz and Taza, among others, to get to the finals. It's just unfortunate for him that Tommy is a step up and above either and has beat them multiple times. Give Asare a few more years and he's at the top himself. They seeded this match with the expectation of having Tommy vs Mateusz or Taza. That Asare is better than either was not expected, but still not better than Tommy.
It's a Trials. It is always a bit less "Professional" as far as seatings go - at least for finals. I think it grounds the fighters a bit more - they are not on the big stage YET.

Two class acts. Really happy for Tommy and Davis has a bright future
This is hands down my favorite ending to a jiujitsu match in a long time! What a wonderful group of fans and two amazing competitors.
So much to love here. Wins imidiatly hugs opponent. Both laugh and smile. Both get lifted up and celebrated. Just great stuff ❤
Loved that Tommy's guys lifted David up too. Great sportsmanship.

Ele deveria ser convidado para o ADCC, pq o cara tem muito potencial.

Polaris, trials, the energy the fans in Europe give is always second to none.

BRASIL SEE YOU DAVIS 👏
How should we call the sweep Tommy did hit on Davis ? Can we call it a shoulder overhead roll sweep or is there a specific name ?
A Craig Jones Bullshit sweep
Tommy é barril. Gosto muito do jiu Jitsu desse norueguês

I Hope mateusz gets an invite
Asare is a purple belt I believe.
Great match, gents. Flo is still the worst thing to ever happen to grappling.
The only man to ever put Gordon Ryan to sleep
White has height advantage
What was that slick shit?
What a fuck is Tommy eating for breakfast? I want the same

two exceptionally European looking gentlemen.
It's labeled as ADCC European, Middle-Eastern and African trials, just shortened to Euro Trials for brevity. Asare also has Norwegian citizenship
@@mavka.chorna I didn't know. thanks for explaining cause that dude is definitely an African.
lmao
I like ADCC but all people at the edge of the mat like some random ass open in the middle of nowhere is so unprofessional.
