Ughh, I wish she could teach us everything that there is to know about gardening. Like tutorials for each season, how to preserve crops, etc. She just seems like an absolutely lovely person as well.

I just wanna add that I'm thankful for her because even when I'm really anxious, stressed, upset, you name it, her videos calm me down so much. I sometimes put them when I can't sleep and they work wonders cause they're so peaceful to watch.
So I read an article about her, her parents divorced when she was very young, then she went to live with her grandparents in the rural area. When she grow up, she tried various job at the city.. once upon a time, she got a call that her grandma was sick so she left everything and cameback to hometown to take care of her nana. She was inspired by her brother who uploads singing videos on Meipai (Chinese social media) and thinking that she could do one of that too. Over the years through trials and errors she was able to build her channel. After learning this about her, I was really impressed. All i can say is, she is truly a hard working person and never leaves her family. We all should be inspired!! Ps: All that woodworking and cooking skill she learned from her grandpa. Apart from this channel, I heard that she is also a bussineess woman 😍
they did feel like videos by someone who both knew all this stuff off by heart but knew all about technology and 'city' life too (rural UK broadband is dreadful, i can't believe you'd learn how to edit a video in rural china, i'm assuming it's worse since their 'rural' is a million times bigger than ours, so must be far harder to reach). For me, it reminds me of home and food from home. It reminds me of family. It makes me a little sad thousands of miles from home. Most importantly, her kindness towards family melts my heart and reminds of my grandma at home whom I haven't seen for a year. Makes me decide to return home.

By lifestyle do you mean waking up at 5 am to water the plants, weed the garden, clean the house, feed the livestock, etc. What you see on her videos are all just the end result of a lot of work. People see that and think that is all there is. When faced with reality and work associated with an “idyll” lifestyle a lot of people give up.
PT Wanderer this lifestyle is not uncommon in Asia especially in countries such as Thailand for example where many people live up in the mountains.As an Asian yes its hard work,but waking up at 5am to go to work or do such stuff is not uncommon especially when I’m a student and have to wake up at 6am,commute to school and study till 6pm by which I reach home would be 8pm🤷🏻♀️

I highly recommend sugar garlic, it tastes crunchy sweet and a bit sour. My mom always told me to eat garlic when I was a kid because it’s good for health. Ziqi cooks traditional Chinese cuisines like those in other Chinese family. What I am trying to prove is that, for majority Chinese, we don’t eat wild animals or dogs cats......Many of my foreign friends asked me if I have eaten bat soup or pangolin. No I never heard of bat soup until the COVID19 appeared and I have only seen pangolins in pictures as they’re endangered💔 I expect more strict regulations on punishing people selling wild animals. Protect our precious nature🙏

Imagine how few people live in places which are rich in soil and water to sustain this level of comfort. Imagine everyone needing so much space like this, how gruesome it would be for people to fight over land so they can support the bear minimum for their familys. Imagine everyone having to spend most of their time working hard to even do the most basic stuff in their lifes like cooking and getting food. How much time you cannot spend on your true ambitions because of having to do farming most of the day. Respect that this is not ideal and don't simply project something you like atm on everyone. When I was young I worked at a Chinese restaurant. For my 19 bday, the restaurant closed and I invited all my friends and family. The owner asked me what I wanted on the menu, I told him to let the chef decided. I had the best Chinese food I have ever had and dishes I have never seen on any other Chinese restaurant.

She showed a good example of a self sustainable life. My mum told me that during her childhood in 40s, almost everything they ate and drank were self sustainable. They did not buy anything, they reared their own chickens, pigs etc. And grew their own maize, rice and other vegetables. It was a healthier lifestyle, as they also did composting, everything were organic and clean..
My mom grew up then and worked in a field. Died early most likely from all the dangerous crap we didn't know was dangerous at the time. Don't romanticize the past. It's filled with dirty secrets and misery.

Some parts of vegetables that many people would toss these days are actually fantastic! Beet greens are a good example of that, I love them in a salad or on a sandwich.

So I read an article about her, her parents divorced when she was very young, then she went to live with her grandparents in the rural area. When she grow up, she tried various job at the city.. once upon a time, she got a call that her grandma was sick so she left everything and cameback to hometown to take care of her nana. She was inspired by her brother who uploads singing videos on Meipai (Chinese social media) and thinking that she could do one of that too. Over the years through trials and errors she was able to build her channel.
After learning this about her, I was really impressed. All i can say is, she is truly a hard working person and never leaves her family. We all should be inspired!!
Ps: All that woodworking and cooking skill she learned from her grandpa. Apart from this channel, I heard that she is also a bussineess woman 😍

I highly recommend sugar garlic, it tastes crunchy sweet and a bit sour. My mom always told me to eat garlic when I was a kid because it’s good for health. Ziqi cooks traditional Chinese cuisines like those in other Chinese family. What I am trying to prove is that, for majority Chinese, we don’t eat wild animals or dogs cats......Many of my foreign friends asked me if I have eaten bat soup or pangolin. No I never heard of bat soup until the COVID19 appeared and I have only seen pangolins in pictures as they’re endangered💔 I expect more strict regulations on punishing people selling wild animals. Protect our precious nature🙏

Imagine if we all start living like this..how beautiful our earth would become.
Imagine how few people live in places which are rich in soil and water to sustain this level of comfort. Imagine everyone needing so much space like this, how gruesome it would be for people to fight over land so they can support the bear minimum for their familys. Imagine everyone having to spend most of their time working hard to even do the most basic stuff in their lifes like cooking and getting food. How much time you cannot spend on your true ambitions because of having to do farming most of the day.
Respect that this is not ideal and don't simply project something you like atm on everyone. Simple answers hold huge backfires. This livingstyle is priviliged in its own way as it is for different people too. Just because it works for her it does not mean it works best for everyone.

When I was young I worked at a Chinese restaurant. For my 19 bday, the restaurant closed and I invited all my friends and family. I never would peel a lemon like that, or even know not to expose the growth of the garlic by folding the leaf and tie over to protect it, and as it dries you have a better grip to pull it out of the earth. but I sure know what you mean, now we wait in suspense for her next video lol
