What tips do you have for Tears of the Kingdom?
Find Shrines and Towers to progress forward once you have the 4 Shrines and Abilities solved in Sky Island.
1. Try to be PATIENT, These Zelda games take time to get used to. With 6 memories and 36 Shrines so far, that is how i FEEL REWARDED.
Haven't played it for a week, but you certainly don't have any I didn't know. Kinda lame dude.
The midair wing works from the quick menu if you do it from neutral speed, just drop before it catches the wind

Such an amazing game! I've got severe "I'll just do that one last thing, then going to sleep" Syndrome... 3 hours later and maybe I'm on my "last thing".

There's so much do in this game...I'll literally walk 20 feet to do a task and find another task to do on the way that leads to another unexplored area that reminds me of a previous task that I got side tracked from at the beginning....I love it
I learned more about TOTK in the last 8 minutes than I did playing the game and doing shrines for the last 3 days. Bravo good sir.
4 bananas and a golden apple will either give you 10 minutes of triple attack boost or 4 minutes and 12+ hearts

My FAVORITE meal is 3 fleet lotus seeds and a rushroom + dragon horn. 30 minutes of triple speed up. You can also swap swift carrots for the rushroom or swift violet for the seeds
Tip for the shambling zombie skeleton enemies covered in gloom: a dazzlefruit explosion temporarily removes the gloom from their bodies, making them take tons more damage when you attack. This works for some of the other enemies covered in gloom too!
They are called gibdos
Does it works on different mobs?
Bone enemies are one shot by dazzlefruit.
Improved tip: any elemental damage leaves them open for attack
Another thing about dazzlefruit is they insta-kill Stal monsters.

@@penginny73 Not really, you have to knock off the heads first, then hit again. If you throw a dazzlefruit, it will just kill the whole group instantly.

1:08 I like this Apple collecting technique. Alternatively, you can also poke the tree with certain weapons instead of cut it down, which will also make all the apples come down and doesn’t seem to hurt the durability.
Wow.... I wish I would've known about the Ruby on the shield warming effect when I was doing the Hebra questline with Tulin. There is so much about this game I feel like I'll never uncover. Its so dense.
I think sapphires help with the heat somewhat too. They freeze enemies if you Fuze them onto stuff and will shoot ice balls. Topaz sends out electricity balls
Rockets are the best. I always fuse them to a shield when I find them. So useful
I just use Ultrahand to knock the apples off the trees with a log lol
Also, not just Shrines and Lightroots mirror each other, almost everything about the terrain on the surface informs the depths. Any hills on the surface, for example, will instead be concave in the depths, and any canyons on the surface will be mountains in the depths. Also, almost all water sources on the surface are walls in the depths. I often will switch my minimap to view the surface while traversing uncharted depths because I'll know where hills and holes are

You can shield grind rails normally, no mine cart fuse required
Fusing an item increases durability, and in some cases prevents rail grinding. Minecarts do both.

I didnt know about the shrines lining up with the lights in the depths. I become obsessed with the depths and ploted out most of it. Now i can go back over the surface and get those shrines. You gave me what imma do for the few days lol
Also the rivers match up with walls in the depths, so that way you know where to go to reach a certain point in the depths. And If you change the map in the select screen you can view the overworld map while youre in the depths, seeing where the water/walls are without always having to Go in the select menu. Makes exploring the depths way less frustrating
With the wing trick, you can use the normal quick menu you just need to not input a direction before you drop it, then once you do glide forward then drop onto it 1:53

The Shrine and corresponding Light Root names are also mirrored. The Light Room name is just the name of the Shrine spelled backwards.
Or just pick the apples straight from the tree with the ultrahand. Same with bomb flowers if they are weirdly stuck on the wall and its hard to climb.
Yikes. That's gonna take too long. Inefficient and cumbersome.
@@Zharina Totally true if you are looking to grab all of em off the tree or are farming. I mainly use this when I want to grab out of reach bomb flowers, golden apples or shrooms. 🍄

I fuse a piece of frozen meat to my shield and highly recommend it for shield surfing even over the carts
For the "apple picker", I made mine with 1x courser bee honey, 2x acorn, and 2x pinecone, and it's served me well. You won't hit everything at every grove/forest, but it's enough to be worth it IMO.
I knew quite a few of these but I did come away with some strong tips I didn't know: You can drop items whilst gliding, like dropping bombs in BotW, honestly not sure why I hadn't tried this yet. And also the fact that you can parry with an item on your shield and trigger its effect, I knew blocking with an item on it would trigger the effect on the block, but I didn't know you could run around and just parry slap things to trigger it too!

I havent tried it yet im still at work but something popped in my google feed about being about to grab the ice blocks in water and you can raise the. Essentially recreating the skill from botw

Also if you run out of stamina during a dive, bring up your map and port to start over with full stamina and no damage.
Rocket shield... such a time saver. I always try to keep about 4 on me, just in case I'm sick of climbing.
If you attach a blade to a zonai devuce it can cut grass and trees, inside the grass there can be rice and grass hoppers.
2:20 Zonaite shields actually improve the cart attached!
Cart +shield makes a fairly good way to get across gloom patches
The way to get the glider from the up arrow is to hang still. Up arrow drop glider. Keep gliding forward for 1 second. Release. After 2 or 3 times youll get it and itll be super easy
You can drop the glider from the up menu, but you need to stop your forward movement first.
Although youre apple gathering method works really good when collecting several at once. i would say when you see 1 apple tree just hit it a couple times and the apples fall down
If you run out of glid and you use your spar if your free falling and cancel just before you hit the ground it cancels out

Put frozen meat on your shield for shield surfing it's way faster and it doesn't melt

When do you get the throw ability
After playing breath of the wild when breath of the wild was first released bring tears of the Kingdom by far the best Zelda game I have
Additionally, no need to build rooves with a hylian pinecone. Also, did you know you can play the lurelin treasurechest minigame for free 2 times? Armes the fisherman basically gives you a free extra chance everyday. Just talk to him he gives you a hint on how to do that.
Kinda wish you where able to craft some items such as arrows

for the first tip you can just hit the tree and they will come down and getting autobuild it very hard
fuze dragon parts to increase despawn radius to 9000, even auto built (green) dragon parts will have this increased despawn radius effect
You can cut trees too for the apples

The surface is a mirror of the surface for shrines
I’ve never played Zelda… I was always a HM RF type of person and I didn’t play RF until probably 10 years ago
When exploring the sky at night, look out for star fragments, they might fall next to you, so you can catch them midair.
Look item descriptions, they gives hints of their effect when fused.
Look also for weapon description to know how to use them to their max potential, they have one extra effect compared to botw.
You have sharp and blunt weapons head. Use blunt to destroy amor and ores. Use sharp one to cut trees, grass, ropes... Always have one of each at least in your inventory.
You can use ascend on stine taluses, yep.
Get mighty bananas later in the game when you have access to farod region. You find them same spot than BOTW. Try not to search for durians tho... They're gone rip.
Use ultrahand to scan for materials, plants, shrooms...
I am highly curious (and I’m definitely going to try this before anyone has a chance to respond): since you can spend zonite to create schematics if you’re short on parts, can you also use zonite to create non zonite items like the apples mentioned in this video?
Yes, you can. Even if the some of the parts are not Zonai made, as long as you made it you can use the Autobuild to make it. It just cost Zonaite to build.
@@weedgrass2338 yes. Although I was asking more about fabricating apples or other similar items. I was really looking for a hack to bypass farming lynels for their horns. It makes a green facsimile of the item that is not the actual item.

Have you heard of the item duplication glitch? Find a high enough spot and begin paragliding. Then open up the menu and begin holding the item you want to duplicate. Once Link holds them in the menu (not on the world map) press both Y and B at the same time. If done right, Link will drop them on the world map as he is gliding but he will still have the amount he held on the menu.

You can also fuse a single item (apple or something more durable) to non-zonite parts (like cages, boulders, explosive barrels, etc) and be able to save them using autobuild, meaning if you can attach something to it you can have it available 24/7. This game is a gem

Something I found but need to confirm is that my air bike despawns all parts when I get too far away except for the part with a light bloom stuck to it. This could stop the desoawning if each part has a light bloom.

I have a feeling discovering all recipies may be needed to 100% the game no? There is a recipe book en gerudo town that is out of reach too. I don’t know if I tried using a zonai device to reach it
In BOTW you had to go at a certain time of day when a Gerudo lady was there, and she offers to read it for you

Rain puts out fires an makes burning bramble hard but if you have a flame emitter it will burn anything in the rain.
Fuse a canon to a sword for a portable spirit bomb.
Fuse a explosive barrel to a spear to for additional chaos
You don't NEED a minecart to grind on the rails... you can just do it with your shield

The glider actually spawns further when I do the opposite
Puffshrooms are more useful for combat. You can sneak strike a whole group of enemies.
There isnt a lightroot under every shrine but it is vice versa
Picking apples is not hard, get a pitchfork or other such weapon and just wrack the tree, or use ultra hand, or cut the tree down....... and the area with the shrine and all the apple tress have a pitchfork and farmers tool.

Rails can be grinded normally
You can rail surf without having minecart attached
the tip with putting the wing out, when gliding,1m50 still doesnt work for me its too far away still, unless its due to carrying a flame thrower on my shield, but i doubt it, the tip to drop shiz on monsters from above is good tho !
It shouldn't be due to your shield. I've only be able to get it to work from dropping from my inventory. Try just hovering (not moving forward) before you drop it, and then as soon as you close the menu immediately go foward.
@@norzza that worked , thanks ! but only when its dry , I had to hover, take out the wing,move forward a bit while hovering then let the glider go and i dropped on it, when its raining I couldnt do it tho .
Puffshrooms are incredibly overpowered. Throw one down, and your can just do a sneak attack on everything for massive damage.

Put your ruby/sapphire on a WEAPON. Then you can have it on your back and get the effect still. The shield only heats/cools you when on your arm.
You can shield surf on rails with quite a few different things attached to your shield, or even with just a bare shield. Don't know why so many tips videos all make it sound like it is an interaction specific to a minecart fusion.
I don’t get it…. The Apple vacuum thing from the first tip does nothing for me? I have to manually stick apples to it regardless it doesn’t save time or effort at all 😢
You need auto build to do this, not just ultra hand

BOTW was insane but this one is even more insane. LOL. Imagine what Nintendo could do with a more powerful machine.

Critical tip --- dont waste time figuring the puzzles in some shrines are they are just....broken. There are some other ways to do them and i suggest you check for some video how to do it and its realy not worth wasting your 1 hour of your life for a badly designed puzzle. Only do this if you cant figure it in 5 min :D
Does the dazzle fruit effect work on lynles
Yes, but only for a very short time, and in my experience it doesn't disarm them, only stuns very briefly

Just hit the tree with any heavy weapon and it will shake the apples lose
