I like the fact that you're defining the verse and I agree with you

I really enjoy the topic of faith and media. As someone who produces media as a hobby, understanding how my faith can and should intersect with the creation of media is an interesting concept. I would suggest looking up the orgin of the term broadcasting. Also, couldn't help seeing the topic of the video an instantly think of the Vsauce video about bad words.

Yeah i avoid "d-mn", the f-word, and the c-word. Besides that, I don't have much conviction on the other stuff.
    Also, gosh is fine.

Deleted the first version with bad audio and re-edited/uploaded. Audio fixed, and now you can also enjoy the awkward unedited last bits I missed this time around. (Crap!)

Hey Paeter, I want to know how you feel specifically about the F-Bomb. I personally don't feel like it's bad if used in the correct situations. For example, if I was working at a place that used that kind of language a lot, I don't think it would be a problem to use it too. Around friends that use the same talk I think it's fine, but there are times when it's not appropriate. I am still in high school and am not out of my parents' house, so I will not use it here. I am a christian and do not want to offend God, but the place where I would like to work uses language all the time. Also, I've talked to my mom about it and she says she doesn't want to hear me say that stuff, so how would I deal with her not approving of my language? If it helps to see the kind of language the company I would like to work for uses, look up "Rooster Teeth". Thanks!

Good question! I watch a couple Rooster Teeth shows from time to time.
The F-bomb is a little more tricky for me, because it originates as a crass word describing the sexual act in a blunt way lacking any context of the love it should be accompanied by. Used in that way, I don't think it has a place in our conversations, and I take that view from studying Ephesians 5:4.
That said, the F-Bomb is also often used as simply a "fill-in" word for emphasis. "He's out of his f----ing mind!" Or "What the f---?" Provided no one present is offended, I don't see a problem in using it that way.
Personally, nearly the only time I use F-bombs is when I am completely alone, without even my wife present. (Usually when lifting something heavy or feeling extra frustrated by something.) But I avoid using F-bombs in any of my published content, because a number of people would be either offended or just unable to watch because they have kids in the room with them. Since I don't want to lose any chance to connect with people, I resolve to avoid most language that anyone would find offensive. And I think that's at the core of the issue. As believers we want to not give offense to anyone, so that we can maintain a voice in their lives. (1 Corinthians 10:31-33)
Do you think that if you don't use certain words that your co-workers use you'd be out of place or incompatible in that job? -Paeter

Thanks for the reply! I don't really know about the question that you asked. I don't want it to be a peer pressure kind of thing, but do think that it's kind of a standard at Rooster Teeth. I don't want to use certain words because I want to "look cool in front of my friends", but I just feel like it would be weird to not. I don't really know. That's a question I've thought about before, but never really found the answer.

Do you have any friends that use language that some would consider offensive? If so, I would look at those situations and consider how your friends react to your use of different language. Personally, I find that when someone doesn't use rough language to express themselves they often "fill that space" with unusual and unique expressions that are much more funny or interesting, and that certainly make them stand out. That could be a really marketable thing in the world of entertainment media! -Paeter

No, none of my friends use strong language. Although we use words that sound similar enough but aren't the word. One thing we say quite a bit is "fudge". I can kind of see your point though.
