Hi everyone! Thanks so much for watching! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know below. If you have a particular pattern you would like to see me create in a tutorial, let me know that as well! Thanks again for watching and happy creating!
Hi Tracey, I really like your method for creating patterns. You had asked if we had a specific pattern that you could show us, I’m trying to get the flower of life in a pattern and I’m not getting it right. I don’t know why.
Hope all is good and thank you for sharing your skills.
@@juliegalaise455 hello! I hope all is well with you also. Thank you for the suggestion! The flower of life isn't an easy one to get in to a seamless pattern because of the overlapping of the petals and it's slightly imperfect size, but it's possible. I will definitely put that on the list for patterns. Thank you for watching, and thank you, again for the suggestion!
@@Tracey-CreatorCollage Oh I see now why I’m having trouble. I know you use 4000x4000px so that’s what I’ve also been using - would you think it’s possible to do it on a 4,000x6,000px or equivalent aspect ratio? I’ll try that..
@@juliegalaise455 I would try that, yes :)

Thank you for this tutorial! Can you do a video showing how to make plaids in affinity designer? Those plaids which are made up of tiny diagonal stripes instead of solid filled stripes. Does that make sense? I’m not sure what they’re called.
You are very welcome; thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! I can definitely put something together on plaids. I know exactly what you're referring to :)
😊 thank for the.Knowledge

Hello Tracey, how do you do the power duplicate in iPad? I actually use pc but wanted to figure out how to use affinity designer in Ipad, it is kind of hard for now. I cannot do power duplicate as pc like ctrl+j and with every click the shape moves.
Hi Bianca! The easiest way, I find, to do power duplicate on the iPad is to create the first move using Transform so it’s exact. From there, you shouldn’t have to touch the object (in fact it’s better not to unless you actually want to move it). As long as it stays selected, you can just long press on your screen with one finger (Don’t do it on your object, do it somewhere else where it won’t get moved) until the Quick menu comes up. Duplicate is one of the options at the top. Select that then keep long pressing and choosing Duplicate until you have all the duplicates you want.
If you have a bluetooth keyboard, and can hook your iPad up to it, you can actually use a keyboard shortcut.
Hope that helps!
Try using symbols for your original tile for more dynamic control and edibility over the pattern
Thanks! This pattern (and tutorial) was intended to be simple, so there was no point in using them here. If I were to create something more complex then, yes, I would use symbols.
Easy peasy!
Thanks Tracey!!
