It's mostly the older genies from 1995 to the earlier intellicode 2 models that had lots of issues. Nowadays even their circuit boards have MUCH less issues then chamberlain.
I think I knew why the genie door opener wouldn’t go down it’s probably because the sensor was bent I had the same problem with my craftsman garage door opener and what I did was bend it back and it went down normally bye the way my craftsman is a belt drive you could have held down the button to
The capacitor blew before the video but somehow the door still opened. I was closing it and all of a sudden I hear a pop, smoke comes out of the machine and the light shuts off
@@TBHD724 but Andy al I saw was u opened it and u said ok lets close it and then it didn't work and u held it ad still didn't work then u ended the vid I didn't see smoke
this is exactly what i needed
Rip genie screw drive :( those openers were amazing!
This one wasnt as good as the older ones, but a decent opener nevertheless
@@TBHD724 yeah my favorite genie screw drive is the gx9000 or the 404 green monster
I wish I had a 404
@@TBHD724 yeah those were amazing screw drives!
Man u r a good UA-camr
did u get the genie to close?
Liftmaster 8550w channel nice
Which one would you prefer the Genie ISL950/A or the Genie IS550/A?
They're exactly the same heads, but I'd go with the 950 because it has a nicer wall button and 3 button remote
@@TBHD724 Don't they both come with the exact same things?
ISL950/A comes with a multi function button and 3 button remote, IS550/A uses the doorbell button and 1 button remote
@@TBHD724 Really all the other IS550/A's that I've seen had the same wall button as the 950. So are you sure?
Yes I'm sure.
Hey I have a question why was the genie switch over there instead of beside the liftmaster wall switch
It's where the button for our old sears was, we wanted it in the same spot at the time
The big door sounds like a cat
Poor screw drive, I have a regular genie it’s loud
Put some lithium grease on the screw to quiet it up
Geanies are bad if where talking motherboards, But if where talking motor functionality, it's flawless. (Little loud doh)

@@TBHD724, And it's also really awkward cause like, no one talks about overhead doors, I wonder why.
@@DAZNOODLES07 well honestly I do talk about doors a lot... it's just a lot of the comments I get are about openers.
@@TBHD724, No i mean like, overhead openers. lmao cause like i have one, (even tho i guess it was made by geanie)
@@DAZNOODLES07 ohh yeah they are exactly the same thing except for case, but both genie and ohd are really good machines. Especially the older ones.
Star Wars a good video
???????????????????????????????????/
It doesn’t sound like it’s dying in this old vid lol
Still sounds weird tho
the lift master sounds weird
I know, it is a bit loud for an 8550. It probably has something to do with the door, but I'm not sure what's wrong with it yet.
That genie screw drive Sounds horrible, not to mention the 8550
Tell me about it.
the 8550 didn't sound terrible in this lmao but it still doesn't sound great
It doesn't sound like it's dying, it just sounds weird
I never seen 8550 this loud
yep. It's pretty much always been like that

The problem wasnt with the sensors, they were fine
Rip genie that didn't sound good at all
I loved that opener, still kinda miss it :(
Same there good openers
Its kinda funny how the genie broke during the video and we didnt even hear a capacitor blow.

hey what was wrong with the genie going back up?
I think bad capacitor, or motor burning out.
Freestyle_Artist Hey bro so how do you find all these garage door worlds
@@Mr.Wilfred I make them.

That did not sound right at all
Oh my friend's house has the same Genie Screw Drive
Cool
@@TBHD724 also you should make garage door games on Roblox
How do I do that? Could you do a UA-cam video showing how?
@@TBHD724 my mom won't let me have a UA-cam channel

What happened to the genie
The capacitor blew.
@@TBHD724 thats a rip
This is sad
The genie???
It's not sad it's just a garage door video
Vvvvvvvvvv
Slow.. very slow opener
The Liftmaster or the genie? They both run at a pretty average speed
Sound so
