Jesus said, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, · bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." We ALL need to practice this more. It's true that many "Christians" don't practice this much. But there are also a great many that do. To be a Christian, many people think they've been elevated above others. They're not. We're all in this journey together. Just as you said, Jesus dined with those who needed faith the most, the worst of the worst. Matthew 5 46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? 47 "And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
As someone who is LGBTQ+ and was born in a Christian household and had to face a lot of people with complicated views on this topic, I appreciate your openess and acceptance. Keep it up with the good work!
thank you sir norcla for speaking up on such a controversial topic. as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, we admire and love people who support us in our fight for equality, and you sir are no exception ❤🏳️🌈
We have to depend on the Spirit of the LORD to make us perfect. Yes, He shows mercy. No, He does not judge PEOPLE or kick them when they're down. But when He heals people, whenever He teaches us, He warns us to forsake our desires and follow Him, as He fulfills the instruction of the Father within us. We must be submissive to His work. Those who claim to be in Messiah must walk as He walked. So yes, we must protect the humanity of our neighbors. They are allowed to choose who they want to follow, without harassment from anybody. But to say they can continue in sin and make it into the kingdom... It's just not true. The kingdom is highly exclusive. We must be willing to forsake our desires, our property, our ideals of personal rights, and be fully submitted to the LORD. It's not easy. We fall short, A LOT! But our hope is in the One who began a good work in us who turn away from our way of thinking, and toward His perfect will, which is outlined plainly in the Scriptures. The ones who overcome self and sinful culture will inherit eternal life. The others are not heirs, as their lifestyle makes them enemies of the LORD.
I did not say that they will make it into the kingdom. I was very careful not to say that. This was directed toward an audience that does not follow Christ so they will not understand what it means. Telling them that they are wrong and they will not make into the kingdom will just turn them off. Instead we should be friends and welcome them, just as Christ welcomed sinners, and talk to them about Christ. Our only job is to pray for them and be present in their life so that when the Lord stirs their heart we are there to guide them. First they need to know about Christ, and everything will follow.
Im a christian and i put it this way:
I love you just the same as anyone else, i just dont appreciate what you do.
This is the proper way to look at it, love the person, hate the sin
Jesus told them to repent, thats a big point you missed there... every single time He called them to repentance. That's love.

Playing safe... Remember when Jesus told a sinner after saving her from discrimination, "Go and sin no more."
