- In this video, I’m upgrading my van’s electrical system by installing the EcoFlow power station instead of a traditional leisure battery and inverter-making my setup more efficient, portable, and powerful! I’ll walk you through the installation process, explain why I chose EcoFlow over a standard setup, and show how it keeps my van fully powered off-grid.
I’m also upgrading my dashcam to the VIOFO A229, a high-quality dual-channel camera that enhances safety and captures every detail on the road. Watch as I install it step-by-step and test out its performance.
If you’re looking for a simple, efficient power solution for van life or want to upgrade your dashcam, this video is for you!

@ very 😘
There’s a far easier way to run a small campervan without a hook up & all that stuff, forget solar too . Decent size power bank with a dc charger, job done .no battery,no wiring,no solar. A 2400 wh bank ran my compressor fridge & led lights for 4 days solid without a single charge. No need for anything else. Great flog though guys . Subs to van docs 👏🏴.
@@neilwilliams9844 bloody hell, I didn’t know that. I’ve got the small Ecoflow in my caddy that runs the fridge and everything else apart from the diesel heater. The caddy is pretty much plug and play but I didn’t want to go down the battery and inverter for this build as I can take the Ecoflow with me if I get a new van. Thanks for subbing to vandox, appreciate it 🙏
@ what you got to look for is a power bank with a 12v & at least a 25 amp out put , “ xt60” plug or similar.you can then run a lead to a fuse box & then run your van from there including ,fridge ,diesel heater, lights w\pump,240 sockets. Dc to dc keeps the charge as you travel. Take a look at the fossibot 2400 . Plenty of reviews available on the tube,I’ve just got one and it’s the dogs. £645.
@@neilwilliams9844 nice one Neil I’ll have a look at that mate
I’d be checking Marks electrical certs! Never seen a uk plug with the two prongs at the top 🤣

Do you use the ecoflow to power your diesel heater?
@@martih68 no I don’t actually but I think this eco flow could run it but I’d have to check.
@caddyboyz how have you powered your diesel heater? I'm pondering fitting a diesel heater but would prefer to power the van with ecoflow, I do at the moment but don't have a fixed plug for a campsite hook up
@ it’s on the leisure battery but that’s all it runs. The eco flow is to run all my electrics in the back and my cooking will all be on electric too as well as charging everything. The hook up for mine is now under the bonnet and I’ve not tested it yet but looks like it should work
@@caddyboyz I do intend putting a hook up under the bonnet. I believe there is an issue with the start up amps being too high for an ecoflow 12v output to use a diesel heater from it. So I probably will have to squeeze a battery in somewhere.
@ yeah that’s why I had a leisure battery in my caddy which is purely for the diesel heater to be fair. But it doesn’t run anything else, similar to the t6
You don't clean what you don't see! He says!
Could you repeat that to Alison please, and maybe record it.
