    It's really useful to show a version for people with not that many tools, it makes ideas for more things possible when you don't have the means. Thanks for this!!

    Hey Jessie, that looks gorgeous for its simplicity! Great project but I just want to make a suggestion and that is that you drill a few holes on the plywood base for ventilation and humidity escape. I had a problem related to that very recently and realized that it is very important to have air flow underneath the mattress, otherwise you will get sort of fungus and stuff... Anyway, always love to see what you guys are up to! See you around :D Cris

    • @FortYort
      @FortYort 5 років тому +2

      Was just coming down to the comments to say the same thing. This is why most bed designs include slats, it's super important that the mattress can breathe. Aside from that, this is a fantastic minimalist design!

    • @Chantwizzle
      @Chantwizzle 5 років тому

      @@FortYort same. It would be so easy to get a router and but some slats in on a diagonal so you couldn't feel them from on top of the mattress.

    Love your production values! The video speed is fantastic. And your resulting bed, in this my first viewing of your series, is uniquely doable and aesthetically pleasing compared to so many other home craft projects I've seen! Thank you.

    I think it looks great! They say that the simple ideas are the best and in this case it seems to relate to design as well! Thank you for the inspiration, from someone who is "design illiterate" I know a helluva lot of people find design simple (as you do) but your films really help me out. N.

    Hi Jessie, great to see you take the center stage. You're charming and the project is perfect. I look forward to more of these inspiring videos, very glad to have another female maker figure to watch with my 4yr old daughter (and 4 yr old boy too for that matter) and have them be clear that females can build anything they want with confidence !
    Keep on trucking ! (from France)

      *Frame, what she made in the video was a frame, not a bed. Difference being is one was store bought and you can actually sleep on and one is the DIY that you can't actually use alone to sleep on.

    On Ikea these brackets are sold 3$ each, in my country Ikea it cost ~4$, but on Amazon those a-holes sell it for 6$ (12$ per set of 2), and that is before calculating shipping cost.
