How true. You think you know it all and then you learn something new. I fretted about chokes being too tight and was told to just get on with it. It worked. 👍
Really good I shoot 3/4 in the bottom barrel and 1/2 choke in the top never change chokes its just what gives you confidence.keep up the videos thank you.
Hello Doug, thank you for the informative video. I was imagining i was young shooter just starting out (i wish!) and i would have found this so easy to grasp and would have stood me in good stead. I like your "old school" approach to informing newbies, keep 'em coming and take care. Neil.
Absolutely right Doug! For 80% of game or clay targets, quarter and half choke is just perfect. (Trap is the obvious exception.) I think that lots of new shooters miss far more than they should because their chokes are too tight. I shot my first goose many years ago with a Remington Skeet gun at around 35 yards! I only ever use quarter choke in my Maxus for pigeon and have never looked back! Keep up the terrific advice matey.
I have a yildiz spz me sporter and was wondering if I can put after market chokes in. I like using half and would like to use half and half but the chokes it comes with are all different. Will I need to buy sone of the same brand chokes to use half and half. Or is there better aftermarket ones I could use.
When an old hand speaks and you dont catch it all, simply listen again and again, its free!! Like the old saying goes "Take the wool out of your ears and shove it in your mouth😊
Ten and a bit minutes on a Sunday evening with Doug and a glass of whisky, what a nice night .

Your barrels are on top of each other and not side by side???? Why would you do that ???
Over and under don’t always believe what it says on the choke. Put them on a pattern plate.with the cartridges u like.
