Just think of the band members and family/friends. They miss em soo much more. But I feel what you getting at. It does feel like they were "our" singers.. Oh well.
Man back in 93' i had seen these guys at a KISW lo doe's show at the Moore theater, Tommy was jumping sky high on this song(Machine Action), dreads down to his ass, great show, RIP Ben
Sadly, by 1995, there were basically no real metal bands at Pain In the Grass. 1992, and 94 we had early Nevermore, before the debut record in 1995, and at least 2 Forced Entry appearances. Legendary.
Kandi Coded is also a really great band that apparently played at the memorial for Ben McMillan. Jack Endino has some good solo albums too. I finally got Gruntrucks Phoenix album many years ago, it holds up!
Is that Audio Learning Center playing on the radio or Pond? I can't frickin remember anymore. GRUNTRUCK WOO!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for the video!!!
02:55 Weed. :) 07:28 The Sky Is Falling - never heard of that song before. From Reddit, 3 years ago: "So Tommy Niemeyer (Gruntruck), Josh Sinder (Tad), and Mark Hennessy (Paw) have joined this band Primitive Race. Apparently they're working with Jack Endino. They've just been posting cryptic stuff on social media so far. It could be cool...definitely underrated bands for sure. I loved Gruntruck (RIP Ben) when I saw them on AIC's "Dirt" tour." TAD also has a band called Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth. The Ron Nine and Kevin Whitworth of Love Battery have a band that includes bass player Kurt Danielson of TAD, called Vaporland. Some of them are still touring - check them out.
@@metallifan84 Travis is one hell of a singer. He was doing Layne Staley memorial benefits after he died, I used to write letters to Nancy(laynes mom) when I was strung out. She was super nice. Travis is one of the few singers that can sing well like Layne. But not like him. Very close tho. Eerie
Machine Action 1:11
The Sky Is Falling 7:28
Move In Silence 11:10
Slow Scorch 14:26

Imagine how much better today's world would be if Ben was still alive and Gruntruck was actively touring. Hugely majorly horribly underrated band.
YES
you can thank roadrunner for killing one of their best bands in favor of the nu metal craze that was going on.
I hated seeing him at the Frontier Room in ‘98 or ‘99 tortured by Gruntruck not being able to get out of its own way.
This video is legendary. One of the most underrated bands of all time
TRUE we agree from France
we agree from Spain
I know. I wish I had a camcorder back in those days but I would of broke it. I was a teenager ha
Man I miss these guys. Ben was an incredible frontman. I've lost so many of my favourite singers, Ben, Mark Lanegan, Layne Stayley, Chris Cornell
Staley*

I reall miss these days. Anything before 1999 was great
It was, but Velvet Revolover, Audioslave and Jerry Cantrell solo albums were pretty good. But yeah. it was going downhill in a way

Interesting, here there are three songs from their last album, which was released way after Ben's death, these may be their only live takes. RIP Ben.

Better management would’ve helped.
This is the Best Gruntruck live video posted!! Wonder who the other taper was(on stage)?
I see two tapers, one on stage, one in crowd. Haven't been able to ID them yet.
