It's interesting that game IS beatable even under these circumstances. It shows how simple and casual original PvZ 1 was and why hardcore mods for it (like hard mode, brutal and pvz enhanced) are so popular.

This honestly feels like a realism mode sort of thing. It actually feels like your peas are peas and the zombies are real, due to how little damage they do.
Like the only thing dealing damage is the velocity of the peas lol
To be fair, I feel like if a pea the size of a basketball was hurdling toward you at high speeds, it'd do some admirable damage.

I love the recolor of the Zombinis. It reminds me of the ddt’s from btd6, with how fast and destructive they are.
The zombonis reminded me of smth but I couldn’t point it out and reading ur comment I was like ‘oh, so that’s what I was thinking about earlier’
I feel like hypnoschroom should of been allowed. It's not game breaking like chomper and this mechanic giving you a small advantage seems fine.

I argue that it is more broken since it gives you a pretty beefy meat shield that also damages the enemies .
I feel I could of been more clear. It is to op if it has a fast recharge time but otherwise its just part of the special rules. its not weird to have such rules in a fre situations actually help you. Only something far to gamebreaking should be completly banned. I don't think it's to op to be banned.

Honestly the visual sprite glow-up to make every zombie look giga is very cool. The contents of the mod itself doesn’t exactly look very fun, but I could see ways to make it not painful super difficult challenge that would be exciting and not hair-pulling.
i think banning plants like tangle kelp and blover kind of goes completely against the entire point of plants like tangle kelp and blover. they kind of are there TO be cheese plants to very quickly and reactionarily delete certain zombies, and even with x12 health i think they are still very balanced. i think Chomper is ok to ban, though, because Chomper was clearly not designed with the ability to just totally delete a Giga Gargantuar for basically free in mind. in the base game, the only Zombies chomper can't instakill will ALWAYS kill Chomper before Chomper could ever reasonably kill them, so banning Chomper makes sense.
Chompers can't eat gargantuars period.

hey, i had an idea for a mod that's similar, but different.
I have to say, before the explanation on how zombie health works in Jchen's video, I always though zombies without their heads taking shots was unintended behavior, can't help but wonder why they did it this way from a game design perspective.
One guess is they just thought it would be a nice touch to their death animation. Or hacked it together because of some inscrutable combination of design principles and technical requirements.
Now that I think about it, it could be partly due to readability/consistency. Maybe they wanted the zombie to go on for a few seconds without a head, but making it phase through projectiles would just seem weird and kinda mess with the player, so making it still block projectiles and take damage just makes it a more believable object in the game world and makes it make more sense at a glance.
@@Przemko27ZI have also noticed the zombies actually fall down quicker if you keep shooting them, plus this also explains why cherry bomb does not turn them into ash.

Edit 2: Looks like you fixed balloon zombies, awesome going.
Edit 3: I think TASing some levels for good rng is perfectly fine. This challenge is frankly insane so I think it's fair. I mean by a technicality these odds are possible, just it'll take far too long to actually do. Heck, I couldn't even beat Ace of Vase in the Giga Mod without revealing all of the vases.
Edit 4: I've never actually heard the proper explanation for why deleting the lawnmowers in Zomboss prevents zombies from spawning in those lanes before, but that makes sense.
Edit 5: Zomboss in the giga mod does not have 2x HP. He has 32767 HP due to me not realizing you can use the int32 value for his health if it's too high.

a Pea Does 10 Damage
A Conehead has 650 HP
a Repeater does 20 Damage
a Buckethead has 1400 HP
and so on forward
All of that is wrong
A Basic has 270 HP
A pea does 20
A Conehead has 640 HP
A Repeater does 40
And a Buckethead has 1370 HP

Try a limited plan death. If the plan died more than a limiter (lets say, 5-20 total plant death) you are consider lost. Also, insta kill plant (other than Chopper) Will count as plant who died. Remove plant Will Also count as a dead plant.
