Haven’t watched that in a while. Even more interesting than the first time.. Especially now knowing you were that last baby.

Thank-you, I was raised at St, Joe's & there were only 8 of us left when they closed the doors for good.

I am blown away! I have driven down West 8th Street, noticed Kahkwa Blvd and had no idea that the club was once there. I have learned a ton from your video. Please keep them coming. Fantastic job!

Thank you for another great Erie history video. One fact about the St Joseph Orphanage building that is rarely mentioned is the use of the building in the early 70s by the Erie School District. This became what was called Model Middle School or Project Individual. This existed for less than 5 years in the mostly Un-renovated building before becoming a senior living home. The building was extensively improved and added on to by the new operators (HANDS?) I attended this school.
I’d love to see a deeper history of the Erie Schools including this short lived one.

My grandparents home wasn’t far from the orphanage. My Great Uncle Chris Chiappazzi was born with autism and he lived at the orphanage for while until my Grandfather Joe Chiappazzi got him out to live with him and his family. Uncle Chris later got a job at Marx toys and had a good life.

I love all these videos. Keep them coming! I've enjoyed learning so many interesting things about Erie even though I've lived here all my life.
