Might give this rig a go on a heli rig only difference being using a tied short hair on the hook .

the behavior of it is almost identical to a "Turbo German" rig - its just minus the swivel

Yes, I have tried it with other hook shapes and it definitely seems to work with a white gape better thanks for your comment. 👍

I tried it shorter, and my catch rate went down 10 to 12 inches seems to be best hope that helps and thanks for your comment. 👍
