I thought he invented the wheel and fire 🔥
Great drummer carmine
Loved that line up from that era
Rods better years😎👍😉
This was awesome⭐ I was obsessed with Rod Stewart as a teenager in the late 70s. My fav album was Foot Loose & Fancy Free which I still think was his best album & drums are my favorite instrument. Carmine Appice was the only drummer I knew of at that time so a heavy influence for me. So much nostalgia in this interview from the late 70's time period.
Rod was MUCH better in the early 70’s.
@@seanm3226 I totally agree but then he was in his prime too.
No this guy is one of best drummer s
Carmine is awesome..he says it all the time!
I couldn't help but laugh at this comment. 😊
carmine has always been a legend in his own mind. I am so glad he taught John Bonham everything he knows. 😉 He is a killer drummer, Cactus and BB&A VF, I copped some of his style as I learned to drum. He is a name dropper extrordanaire though. Blows his own horn like Louie Armstrong. Dude, your body of work speaks for itself. Come on!
I've been to 2 of his drum clinics, about 8 years apart, and he devoted a large portion of both of them to talking about how much Bonham owed to him, from copping his style, to copping his sound, to using a 26 inch bass drum which Carmine was the 1st ever drummer to do of course, etc etc. There's an interesting video somewhere out there on youtube from a couple years ago where Carmine played Black Dog with some band at a Bonham tribute show, and he fucks it up LOL. To be fair, Black Dog is a tricky song. It's counter-intuitive because the music is in 4/4 time, but the drum part is in another time signature. But hey, Carmine being the 'original' Bonham, he should have been able to pull it off in his sleep right? 😂
Luv the Paesano "CARMINE" 😜👍🏻👍🏻
Carmine is a legend…. Ask him, he will tell you….🥱🥱😂😂😂😂😂
Carmine....the best. I will help this video out just a little....The Rolling Stones had hit big with the song "Miss You." (not missing you) It was a deep dive for the Stones into disco/R and B. It was very big. So, Rod and Carmine thought..let's try that. It worked.
“Yeah, the atom.I was like doing this lesson with Oppenheimer on splitting a paradiddle with my left foot and I said “you know Robert you should get like a real heavy isotope and do this with the atom”and you know a couple months later we had Hiroshima and WW2 was a wrap”
Carmine probably
The definition of self powered ego
The best Paesano 😁👍🏻👍🏻
Great stories
Great video
His brother is so humble. Polor opposite.
I was at the 1 st.MTV video awards at Radio City Music Hall 1984, the best part of the show was,Rod opening the show with the song Infatuation,he came out in a purple suit and rocked my world. It was the first video awards,I didn’t know what to expect, well I found out.I bought my ticket off a scalper for 50 bucks,it was the size of a drivers license, blue with a space man on it. Price on tic was 16.50 if I remember correctly.
Jorge Ben Jor - Taj Mahal (1972) & Bobby Womack - (If You Want My Love) Put Something Down On It (1975)
Can't deny his resume....but
I know Carmen's biggest fan... And that would be Carmen
Phill chenn the bass player wrote most of the songs and all the bass lines but did not get credit.he also played for Jeff Beck on blow by blow.he is now in the doors.
Nobody walks in L.A. . . .
not sure if it I would take credit for this...
Well he is credited as a writer on the track so 🤷🏻♂️
Carmine is a legend in his own mind. 😂😂😂
ABSOLUTELY he is !😁👍🏻
Jealousy doesn't suit you !🙄😏👎
Hey Mr. Backstage. Can you please delete the most stupid childish comments here. Don't give them a second of air time.
Clean the moronic comments and keep your channel Clean 😁👍🏻
Great Interview as always 😎
This dude is repsoncible for 3/4 of the 70s rock & half of the 80s rock we all know & love, without him we'd be still listening to Creedance Clearwater
After this interview I have to switch to Tommy Aldridge, a much more down to earth drummer.
Sure you did Carmine…
AND taught John Bonham how to play drums!
🤣😂🤣😂
"Do You Think I'm Sexy" sucked ass. I liked the earlier Rod Stewart material myself.
Like "Sailing" "You're In My Heart" "Hot Legs" "I don't Want To Talk About It" "First Cut Is The Deepest" "Tonight's The Night" And the stuff Rod did with "The Faces"
I wasn't into the 80's cheese.. But Carmine is a awesome drummer. I seen him with "Sabbath" back in 92'. He sure didn't disappoint. However, my favorite drummer for Sabbath will always be Bill Ward. Thanks for the video. I highly enjoyed it. Carmine is a class act.
Don’t forget Maggie May, Reason to Believe. My favorites. Hot legs was a great dance song. Love it.
Hey Carmine it’s not too late to give Gene Simmons and Seb Bach a call to form the 3 (am)ego’s - sorry could not think of a guitar player who shoots his mouth as much as those 3
Ahhhh! Be quiet.. As if if he actually cares about your Whiny Crying!🙄😏
If our oil supplies ran as deep as Carmine's ego we'd never have to worry about ever running out of fossil fuels... ever.
Funny but Carmine actually discovered that fossil fuels can be used for energy 🤷♂️
I thought Rod drunkenly stole that song? Di.dnt he get sued for it?
This guy. Enough already.
So then what are you doing here !!
You give Social a bad Name !😜🤣👊👊
Did you also know Carmine co-wrote the Bible
😜😂🤣😂❤️
Hum... plagarized if I'm not mistaken.
I thought the same thing. Didn't the music come from a popular song in South America? I want to say I heard that on a rerun of Kasey Kasam America's Top 40 or something like that.
This guy probably thinks he invented drum sticks too..🙄
He DID !!😎👍🏻
What's next, Carmine says he invented the internet?
How did you know!!!! He hasn’t told anyone yet. He is so humble🥱🤣
Next he'll claim he co wrote all the Beatles hits .....the fuckin ego on this guy 😂😂😂
Abusing women. Classy guy.
Hes insecure as hell. Hes afraid his legacy will be forgotten. I love his drumming tho
Stones' Miss You ripoff
He didnt co- wrote anything. he stole the chorus melody from Jorge Ben Jor got sued for that, lost ans rod had to pay.
Wasn´t "Sailing" Rod´s biggest hit?
It’s because of carmines mustache Blue Murder failed
😂.
Old Carmine tells bigger whoppers than Joe Biden
Horrible "Song" .Don't forget Disco Sucks .
Sexy was just a mediocre tune pandering to Disco. Sadly, you can’t un-hear it 😎.
