Incredible battle, I haven't seen a single American/UK car show do what these guys do. Pushed to the absolute limit. Amazing!!
The closest I've seen was on Fifth Gear when they battled a C6 Corvette against a 3rd-gen Viper. Tiff and Jason were really going for it that day. But the guys on this show go Full Tilt Boogie every time they get into a car.
One of the few times Tsuchiya got his ass kicked in a 1v1 track battle! Tuned EG6 is a beast!
I like Dori-dori but he wins so damn much i feel like we don't get to see the other cars full potential. Like they agree to fuck up or go at 95% so he can win.
Tsuchiya always pick the faster car thats why he wins most of the time.
He drives the faster cars because he's the fastest driver.
EG was only as good as its diver, thank you Miroshi-san!

LOL. You have to watch best motoring videos, not Hot Version. In a same car, Tsuchiya always was faster than others. But in recent HV videos, he's not the fastest anymore because of his age.

Ive been a Best Motoring junkie for over 18 years now and this definitely one of top races. Drivers and cars well matched. Wow!
Massive respect to both cars and drivers, even if it made me a little sad to see Tsuchiya throw so much shade. I always love close, friendly battles, as well as examples of FF cars fighting alongside their FR brethren and keeping pace.

oh my god....that dude is the first one to completely destroy Tsuchiya in pure driving energy and tenacity. Really enjoyed it and from all the HV videos this must be the first one I saw Tsuchiya outmanouvered like that on that last turn !

what are you talking about? KEi office Silvia was far from stock....
engine wise yes, probably some injectors and upped the boost only though, all you need to reach 300hp in an sr20.
as for the suspension it looks like mine which is stock and the car doesnt look to be stripped for any weight.
sorry but regular Silvia with only a power boost wont be able to keep with Spoon eg6 and this one kept to it nicely. Look at some other videos and what other cars(including silvias) race against spoon eg6 and what level of suspension tuning they recieve. They clearly show aftermarket springs and dampers with A021 tyres, and who knows if polyurethane bushes with thicker sway bars were added.
the silvias (s14 and 15) are trackmonsters when they recieve good tuning, some aero, suspension and tires.
just look at some of the other videos where they use them in races and touges, the obliberate most cars..
but the honda is also really good just so thats said

Less weight is always better than more power.
getting high power from NA is not simple. turbo is cheap & dirty way to get it
Anas Takiyudin Simplier the setup by itself (turbo is a more complex setup in comparison) and tuning n/a in my country is cheaper unlike in yours... but in general turbo can be cheaper to tune in the initial stages such as chip dp exhaust intake... but in the mid to high term turbo will go way way more expensive.. here and everywhere.

If only the Silvia was set up properly and had its suspension tuned for that track. It had so much more potential.
And if that civic had a turbo aswell. would've been much more fair

Note springrates on the EG: F 6.8 R 4.4 kg/mm
So much softer than later Spoon cars, and compared to most track Civics and Integras... I am not convinced about the theory of very stiff springrates myself... sure reponse of the car to the driver input is very immediate... but the hopping and the difficulty of the tyres to stay in contact with the road over bumps... a real downside in my book.
+TassieLorenzo It becomes even more apparent when using the vehicle as a daily driver. Also, the softer springs can better help the driver feel how the vehicle is responding to his inputs. The only time stiff springs will be of high benefit is when running a very low ride height and on smooth race circuits only.
