    The top-entry hood on the Petsafe® Scoopfree® Self-Cleaning Litter Box has a grated surface to help prevent litter tracking. The litter box uses crystal litter with 5 times better odor control than clumping litter. It also absorbs urine and dehydrates solid waste. The low-tracking litter is 99% dust free and doesn’t stick to your cat’s paws. It also has a health counter which tracks how many times your pet uses box (helps detect early signs of health issues.)

    The rake won't rake anymore and the motor keeps just making a sound after we moved. Can't find any info on fixing it.

    Do we need to buy replaceable items? Or just dump tray?

      This box can be used with either disposable trays or our reusable tray which you would empty and refill.

    Looks tiny, maybe okay for kittens?

      Thank you for sharing this concern with us! This box is intended for use with cats 6 months and older who are up to 15 lbs.; it should not be used with kittens under 6 months. We do apologize for any misunderstanding.

    I don't get how this works ? Where does the poop go ? It just says throw away the tray ? That means it's not self cleaning ?

    • @petsafebrand
      @petsafebrand  День тому

      Hi there! We're sorry for any confusion! The solid waste is raked into the waste trap on the opposite end of the rakes home position. The solid waste stays in the waste trap until it's time to change your tray, leaving the potty area clean for your kitty!

    Can any kind of cat litter go on here or just the blue or purple crystal?

      Thank you for asking this question, Lace. Please know that we recommend only using PetSafe brand Crystal Litter with the ScoopFree self cleaning litter box.

      I need two but dont like , only use the cristal, its very expensive de price of that sands

    • @CaptainDeeDaDee18
      @CaptainDeeDaDee18 Місяць тому

      @wimblowpr7302 that's why it's cheaper in general. They want you to have to use their expensive litter. If you spend a little more for one of the other ones you pay more now. But you can use most other litter instead of $40 litter

      Thanks for asking, Kelly! This highly absorbent crystal litter does absorb liquid waste.

      It doesn't scoop pee but the litter keeps it from being stinky.

      @@petsafebrand Same, I don't understand where the poo is going (and how I can remove it)

    • @petsafebrand
      @petsafebrand  3 місяці тому +1

      We're so sorry for any confusion! Solid waste is rake under the waste trap. It is not intended to be removed from this area; the entire tray would be disposed of when the crystal litter reaches the end of its absorbency. For most one cat homes this is typically at around 30 days.
      If using our reusable tray, you would at that point dump the tray, scrub it out with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water, then dry and refill the tray.

    • @chilcent

      @@petsafebrand will there be no smell if i let the solid waste stay one month ? The waste trap doesn't look tightly sealed and even if it was, the odors would escape every time the litter box will open it

    • @petsafebrand
      @petsafebrand  3 місяці тому

      Since the crystal pulls moisture from the waste, odors from the solid waste are significantly reduced in that dehydrated state; being kept under the waste trap helps as well. For most customers odor would not be an issue before 30 days with one cat, though the timeframe each tray lasts will vary for each home based on many factors. We do recommend ensuring that your box is placed in a low humidity location, as humidity will affect the crystal litter's lifespan and ability to pull moisture from waste. To ensure a low humidity location we would recommend placing the box away from bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, basements, and any other high humidity location.
