Your daughter is going to benefit so much from strenth training. I enjoy your bat comparrison vids. Bought my 13 year old the Marucci 1 piece because of your reviews. She still has a mantra 1.0 2 piece. Im hoping she likes the 1 piece. But I might try the echo connect. I also have my daughter squating. She weighs 145 and her current PR is 155. I was hoping I could give you some advice. I have the same new balance shoes your daughter is wearing in the vid. A flat shoe would really help her squat and her balance with her clings. We like chuck taylors. Keep up the good work. Hope to see more bat vids soon.
Hello Fab! I hope I can ask a bat question on a non bat video (by the way, looking forward to more bat videos) ... Anyway, my daughter (9 year old 4'9") has been using a Ghost 30" 20 oz drop -10 bat for her first season of kid pitch. She loves the bat and did well against slower pitchers, but you can see they weight of the bat when she starts facing anyone throwing close to 40 mph. The same is true in the cages, actually if anything in the cage with a pitching machine its even more apparent as her timing is off. She has now been asked to join a club team and so for the most part everyone she faces will be throwing at or past the upper end of what she can catch up to. My thought is she really should be using a shorter lighter bat that is more balanced whcih should help her catch up to the faster stuff. We have started looking at 2021-2022 versions of the DeMarini CF and the Louiville Slugger LXT both at 29" 18oz drop -11. Do those seem to be good choices, and other than the prisim (which we dont like as a friend on the team broke 3 in one season) is there another bat you think we should conside in that size? Lastly do you agree going shorter and lighter is a good strategy at her age and level? Thanks for sharing your wisdom on this! Andrew
Without seeing her swing, that's a tough question to answer. It could be something in her swing that is causing her to labor. Not that it's definetly not the bat, but it could be more of a swing issue. Does she go to hitting lessons?
@@fabjunkie4229 Mostly she has pitching lessons (Pitching is why the club team asked us to join), but at the club practices they have been working on her hitting. It was one of thos instructors that put the idea in my head that a lighter bat might help her as she is lacking the bat speed to really catch up when the ball is coming in hot, or at least hot to a 9 year old.
@@206connolly I get that. I would get her to a hitting instructor and see what they say. Improper swing mechanics can really cause them to struggle to get the bat through the zone.
SCARY looking half squats. No depth and knees are unstable as hell. Catching the bar with her arms and not the shoulders gonna hurt the elbows. BE CAREFUL!!! I have serious questions for that "trainer."
That's the plan. Git take every opportunity to try to be better than the next player. Right now she is using the Mantra plus 33/9, and Echo 33/9, until the new Monsta Fulcrum is available.

Hell yeah, thank you for the advice. She has some Chucks. We will try them out tomorrow. Thanks for watching as well.
Go get it !

Only bomb will be a knee or elbow blowing up if this continues.
The weight training will definitely give her a huge advantage. Just curious what bat is she using to start the season?

No more softball?
