    Glad you got your Rod back 😂 use a bivvy peg to secure your Rod. Put the peg in the ground and place the reel handle under the top of the peg if that makes sense 😂 looks an amazing place 👍 awesome video well done to yourself and Reece for catching 😅

    Another great video. I use those quick change bank sticks, the twisty bit you twist to get the other bit in, if you physically twist it back into place it usually clicks that little bit more making it more secure. Keep em coming 😊

    Great video looked like a lovely venue and great few days deffo enjoyable to watch with ups n downs and some fish n nearly losing your rods 💯🎣 but would recommend carp care is key better when your taken them out of water in net to the landing mat is to close the net and roll it up to the carp and make sure it’s fins are all the right way just so not hanging and not at risk of deforming fins or walking it off the bank other than that beautiful fish and great video can’t wait for the next one 🎣🎣🎣💯💯💯

    Great video again love the content, I'm not trying to tell you how to fish, but a good tip dont have the pod so close to edge of the lake, and put the first eyelet behind the beepers that way if a big fish does rag your rod out the eyelet stops it going any further, just a little tip for you, get used to doing it now all the time and becomes second nature, but good on your fella for getting it back, wot a star 👍👍. When fishing lakes where the public have access it's well worth fishing the margins, the amount of people that feed the ducks, also feed the fish. Everytime you forget something 😂.

    This is a general problem with the QR Pod. I secure the rods with an expander. I once had the bite indicator fall off the pod during a bite. Depending on the position, the locking is not the best.

    If your alarms fail and you dont have any spare batteries put a stone on top of the reel and a bucket lid underneath, day time only, you will hear the stone hitting the lid.

    Great video, looks like a lovely place to stay / fish.
    With that amount of hook pulls it's probably not all down to using barbless hooks, it's most likely down to your rod test curve being too heavy for the size of fish, you would lose much less fish with a lighter test curve, like a 1.75lb, still plenty enough to land a low twenty on.

    I’m glad you’re using barbless I feel it should be made law as barbs destroy the inside of fishes mouths - it’s compulsory barbless at a handful of local fisheries in Wirral,northwest where I fish😎 keep up the good work!

    Well done on getting the rod back… most fish could take the rod, just unfortunate you didn’t get to land it what ever it was.
    If I’m using a boat at distance I always close the bail arm and let the line tighten and pull the boat before I drop the bait… straight in contact after a take..definitely lose less fish I feel.

  • @undrawingend
    @undrawingend 11 місяців тому

    I’ve had the rod go in myself however was more due to the fact I didn’t put the bait runner on and ended up in the lake trying to dive in for it 😂, fortunately found it with a mate using a treble hook wrapped around a lead down side was the but section was stuck in the lake bed so had to jump in and walk out too it… not recommended!! At least fish got away as snagged me into the Lilly bed I was fishing into. Learnt my lesson that day - always set my drag/bait runner before sitting down. Think about it they might still have the video haha 😆

    Delkim needs a new battery or check there isn't a break in the wiring where you connect the battery , if its damp or got rained on alot it can cause the Delk to do that , I had to solder the wiring on mine to stop it bleeping like that

    If you’re fishing close in, then try and get your rod tips very low and let your line slack to hug the bottom of the margin. First time I fished Linear I lost a rod on the first morning never to be seen again due to a bait runner clutch meltdown. Losing fish on barbless is usually just down to keeping tension on the line at all times, but maybe they weren’t well hooked as you seemed to be in good contact with the one on film.
