SYNOPSIS
Abby, obituary writer turned author, is used to making up quirky, charming characters in her books, but here in Bliss it almost seems like those characters have sprung to life, and Abby is fantasizing about moving right in. The townspeople have set their matchmaking minds in motion and they aren't about to let Abby leave without a little love in her heart.

It took a little while to get into the story. I am so glad I continued to watch it. This is a lovely story of a small town with a very big heart for love and for community.

I love the movie. So heartwarming. For a moment, with the southern accents dripping all over the town, I thought I was going to see Blanche Devereux, of "The Golden Girls" make a cameo appearance in this movie!
I don't know if the comment about the accents being hilarious was sincere or sarcastic, but this Texan loved them! Loved the movie too--it was great!
It's hard to believe Lauren Holly was about 56 when this was made!
Toby Hargrave did an excellent job playing Walter.
This movie had a good storyline with quite a bit of depth, interesting characters and an all round good feel. Quite a bit of comedy involved and a little bit of seriousness not to mention romance. A good movie for a lot of different ages and genders to watch.
This was a shockingly good surprise !! Its engrossing, drawing 'ya in anticipation, 'ya suddenly become drawn into it.
I recommend this outstanding family-friendly clean non-violent movie with a great ending.
Anniemarr. "THE TOWN THAT CAME A COURTING " is such a wonderful film, although it's very romantic, it's also such a good laugh, I felt so sorry for them both. What a wonderful town that is, to care about there Mayor, and Abbey. Good show thank you.
The movie was as good as all the reviews down below here said. I had side splitting belly laughs at the waiters bringing in bottles of champers, from the School Board, the Business Association etc etc...That scene idea was the funniest, yet most profound piece of script writing ever...The similar idea with the flowers from so many organisations in the town, was a bit lost, but the Champaign scene made up for it. Thanks so much.

I'm from south GA and I think the southern accents are hilarious. Also I don't mind the commercials 😜
I'm also from south Georgia, and there's nothing worse than a FAKE southern accent.
I’m not from the south and these accents well…they are awful. How can you stand hearing them if you are?!
@@maurawhelan3530 people with southern accents are either looked down on or made fun of but because I am secure in who I am it doesn't bother me when a movie character can't make the accent believable.
I'm from Georgia too and the accents crack me up lol.
NC here, and Yes I am too, but when the actor gets the accent right for the area of the South the movie is taken place and time area I'm delighted

I may fall over from the shock. A perfect version of a movie, listed with it's correct title, not lying about the year or the network! And to top it off It was a great movie, and had A different formula than the cookie cutter romance as of late. It may be a few years old, but boy it was great to see Valerie Harper again!!!

This is one movie worth checking out. Good storyline despite the usual issue addressed, charming authentic dialects, colorful characters full of drama and humor as well as beautiful town. Enjoying every parts of the story!

Kinda disturbing how the entire town stalked them worse than the real stalker and they didn't even think it was wrong. Love (in an unstalker like way) Lauren Holly. She's such a beautiful lady!

OK, aside from all the (place add here), I really liked this flick. Abby is hot, my opinion Jamie is hotter, and yes, I cried at the ending. The script, acting, dialog, the cast were all perfect, and pulled this one off like an amazing Hallmark Moment (place add here). Four thumbs up, three stars, two "wink, wink, nudge, nudge!", and a condor on a cactus.

She reminds me of one of my friends who passed away about 10 years ago. Same color hair, complexion, eyes, smile, profile. It was a blessing to come across this movie. It was like seeing my friend.

I loved this movie! It was funny, cute, had great actors, it gave me a thrill, even mysterious, and it was a family oriented movie that you can watch with everyone. It even had God in it! I wish more movies could exist!

"The Town That Came A-Courtin' (2014) title just draws you right in...piques your curious nature...Well, it piqued my interest !:D What a simply delightful, refreshing movie to engage in/with for some 'down time. There are sooo many colloquialisms & one liners like character Ms. Maggie (?) owner of fem dog "Elmer/Alma uses...."Ohhh Lorraine, u don't have as much sense as a fly in a ?...sat down here, lemme talk 2 ya...Go on...!" Oooo if we all don't have a "Momma"/fam member who knows more than you do re:who you need in your life so you are NOT single again' radars! Lol! Thank ALL involved in the making of this film that brought plenty of smiles/enjoyment to my 1st Day of Spring, Lenten Season, March Herstory & Deaf History Month March 2022!! Y'all, I'm definitely recommending this movie 2 many!!:D MsPJGY
