Modern fencing is popular because it's "less work". Pastures used to be divided by thorny "hedge grows".
Osage orange was used in North America to make a hedge grow that was horse high, bull strong, and hog tight!
Hello have you considered Quail, they are much easier to keep than chickens, require 1/4 the space, can tolerate cold conditions and if you keep the right breading quantity will keep you in meat and although the eggs are small they are very healthy and they lay very regularly.
Please be prepared for those goats to eat anything they can get their mouths on whatever it's made of, wood, plastic, anything. Good luck 😁
2:58 ... Hey ! I ain't no Bagpipe ! Put me down lady 😡🤬 !
On second thought, a scene like this could have inspired the origin of the Bagpipe, some centuries or millenia ago... 🤔
Great video as always Vanessa 👍🏻💖
Thanks for sharing.
The best to you, family, pets, farm animals and your neighbors 🙏🏻
That is wonderful. Goats are very cool!
Cute goats Vanessa... Your little one has grown so fast... So many things you have going on, where do you find the time to do it all. Busier than a bee. Gosh how wish was there with you enjoying the farm life. Fresh air... such a living. Miss Germany so much. Love this video.... Ich Liebe Dich SOOO !!!!
May God bless you and your family and pets 🙏
Vanessa -- In response to your question as to what farm animals we think you might like to have, it all depends! How much time have you to look after them? There is feeding, cleaning, housing, vet bills etc to consider. Then there are foxes, rats, ticks. And, what do you want the animals for? For pets? For business? Both? Do you want them to roam , or be in a coup? How much space have you got for roaming? So the question needs to be one of personal choice guided by other pertinent criteria. All I can say is that animals take a lot of looking after. You need the inclination, money and time. Vanessa, you will probably say that that is no answer. In a way, you are correct. I feel obliged to return the ball to your court.
By the way, it was nice to see you again!
your new goats are beautiful! My sheep and goat ate thistles and every other weed in their pastures until it only grew lush grasses.
As a child I grew up on a farm, listening to sheep, goats, chickens, cows, and pigs each day. I remember how much enjoyment I had when I went to sleep each night listening to the sound of the animals nesting as I fell asleep. I live in a metropolitan city now, and those memories still come back to me on occasion. Thank you for sparking the memories again!
Nice video vanessa. Enjoyed the insight into what your farmlife is actually like, hardwork for sure, but very nuce place you have.
Understand more how much getting away from it all for a campout is important in your life
Awesome farm Vanessa.
Enjoyed your video Vanessa. Have a nice day.
I Had to watch this again the Kidds seemed comfortable in your company, fantastic Live stream very enjoyable to witness, Thank you
I love your goats, I also have two goats on my small farm. I live on the south island of New Zealand and enjoy your videos very much. You seem like a very down to earth person Vanessa.
Vanessa, the twin goats are cute but your son is adorable. Thank you for sharing with us your farm. Farming, as you know is constant work but rewarding. How much does the small cow cost? Your children are very fortunate to have you as their mother. I know you and your husband are providing them a wonderful home!
A nice view of the farm 🚜 certain things should be attended to better before they fall apart, what animal for the farm ? Maybe a Turkey..
❤️Vanessa.
Cool farm. Yes you have more than enough to do. You have recovered beautifully from stroke . Blessings to you and yours
.. You should get a miniature pherd, or a donkey maybe, another a pig?
Put a yoke on the goats and sheep, and just patch up the fence with wire. You should show how to make a haystack, Vanessa. I'll bet a lot of your viewers have not ever seen that?
Nice job, Nessa, I really enjoy the farm updates.
My neighbor has goats and chickens, and I think they're getting tired of the chickens as well. They're thinking about getting alpacas next. Not sure they're any harder or easier than sheep. Another neighbor has sheep and is very particular about hand shearing vs. machine shearing.
The goats are very cute love the color, your son adorable you have a nice little farm deffinantly would be a great deal of work, it will be awesome once the goats are use to you, your family and beautiful yard. looking forward to future videos and updates on your new aditions .. Other animals,. " What about Pekin Ducks" , they would be good source of meat, eggs. then miniture Donkey. Ontario Canada.
Thanks for sharing the truth for both good and bad in the farm. 👍
It’s always good idea to learn new skills and try to repair things yourself, or even create them from new.
Best wishes to you Vanessa and family. Good luck with the goats and hopefully rain will come soon.
Ha ha dog collar mein frau..not bracelet..a bracelet you wear on your arm.
a farm is a lot of work, have a panic attack then get to work lol, farmers are outstanding in their fields. 2 meanings there, always a good show thank you
Hi Vanessa, you have a really nice place there. The goats are cute. Great video!!! Loved it 😊
Good to see you again. You are doing okay with your English don’t let it stress you sweetheart it’s okay.
Watching your youngest chase after you as you were carrying the goat made me giggle. So cute
Great video Vanessa! It would be nice to see more updates on your farm and house. Perhaps you should consider alpacas? All of them I've met were super friendly and got along with all the other animals really well. They have nice wool for making Winter clothes. I think you need at least three, as they do best in a 'herd'. Just don't get llamas, those things are huge, mean, and always scheming and plotting to kill you! Llamas are used to guard herds of other animals as they're super aggressive and will attack anything or anyone that doesn't belong, or that they don't like.
I love your farm. A lot of work, but you’re doing great!
Thank you Vanessa for another wonderful video you have a nice looking farm maybe a pig 🐖 hope you have a nice Sunday stay happy and healthy 🦊🏆🌺👍
Hello, good Sunday afternoon 👍👋
I have always want a farm but here it is o money
What beautiful animals around you 🐞🦉
beautiful goats I love
I would love to live somewhere like this Vanessa! Thank you for sharing! Also, you look great!
Thank you for taking us on a tour of your farm. I’m glad you ended up getting both baby goats. Years ago, when we had a working hobby farm, we got only one goat. That was a mistake because it was lonely. We have raised laying chickens, meat chickens, pigs, a goat, geese and rabbits. Sadly now we have no farm animals. It was nice hearing the goats “talking”. Enjoy your farm ❤
Loved your video!
Farm kid moved to the city. We tried goats once for weed control. Thay eat the good plants, and not the weeds, climbed on ever think you don't want them to. Thay did taste good though, their names were Taco, and Burrito. thank you I do like your life on the home stead format, good job. ALL stay safe
Awesome comment
Que legal suas cabra muito lindas 🇧🇷
👍👍👍👍
🤔👍
Hi Vanessa just realized I was not subscribed. I like your goats. Have you had them before.
When you finish the coupe, pick up some Barred Rocks. They're sweet and easy. Do you have room to dig a stock pond? Maybe grow some tilapia?
Vanessa, you are a very special fantasy queen woman whom I dearly enjoy, and love! 💜💜💙💙💜💜
I'm a retired Dairy Farmer so I recommend you get a couple Jersey cows that you can milk make butter and make cheese from
I recommend you getting a Electric Fence Charger which will help with keeping your sheep and goats in...
You need chickens...Here in the Georgia USA we make Chicken tractors and they are easy to make out of PVC plastic water pipe and chicken wire... Nothing like fresh eggs
Bless your heart and mind 🙏💕 happy happy happy to see you happy
It is ironic that when you film survival episodes in the forest, it always rains. Then your hay production is limited because there's no rain. I love that your farm is so peaceful. I do not like that you have a nosey neighbor, who complains about the things on your property, instead of his own. In the U.S. we call a person like that a "busy body," or a "Gladys Kravitz." I agree that some ducks would be a good choice for your farm. I don't know what a duck costs in Deutschland. Thank you for showing us your farm. We learn every time you post a new video. Prost!
I'm not familiar with livestock or just animals in general. So I have a question. What exactly can you do with goats?
Hi Vanessa.
You look well, recovered from medical and financial upssts of the past. I hope so.
Also very comfortable in front of the camera these days, free from rigid and formal address you can now relax and chat unselfconciously. More fun. More relax.
Also your former anxiety over farm financial and animal husbandry seems to be more controled now.
So nice to see all these and your wonderful children growing up with the animals is VERY nice. Even if the goose pecs and tramples your son (son right?) he will surely grow into a fine man and improved because of his wonderful early life.
So, so good to see you looking healthy and strong. 🤠
Timothy
Your goats have beautiful coloring.
AAaaawwwwww Ika is a very good boy and beautiful how he stays with you Vanessa.
Majority of today's segment you seemed ok though some it looked like there was something worrying you. I hope you been ok. That person making trouble for you should leave people alone 😡.
Take Care Vanessa and I'll see your new videos soon❤❤ ok
Kamu sungguh cantik👍😘

смотрю на тебя аж настроение поднимается настояшая арийская женшина
Most folks don’t understand the difficulty of aiming for self sufficiency. The constant repairs, the cost of buying materials, the whims of Mother Nature and the uncertainty of the yearly results. This year a very late hard freeze means I have no fruit from the orchard. The lack of rain in April through mid-June means the crops without irrigation are stunted and doing poorly despite recent rains. While we got a reasonable first cutting of hay, the lack of rain after the cut burn the fields badly, leaving a second good cutting in doubt. Such is life, but I really can’t see myself elsewhere. You are doing just fine and don’t become discouraged.
Ducks, there are some breeds of ducks that give more eggs than chickens. Here is another thought , fish. Fish farming can be profitable and it will give the ducks a pond to swim in.
They are very beautiful, especially te one with the mostlr black face.
good choice on goats, germany has access to good breeds, some tips, collars can be dangerous when you arent walking them as they can jump up on things and catch and strangle themselves. horns can be dangerous, the butting power should not be underestimated. never use haynets, they can easily strangle goats like a noose. goats will happily poison themselves of the wrong vegetaion is around. most importantly, look in to using them as pack goats, as they might need training from young age, huge opportunity to combine goats with bushcraft......
How about a goose? They are great at watching, they make noise if anything comes around.
what about quale Vanessa.. have you ever had quale ?
A cool activity. Do you look for the animals by yourself?
you are doing a great think keep up the good work beleave in your self be you thanks for making my day
Have you tried rabbits? Great video cheers!
sheep eat grass, and goats eat everything else, leaves, weeds, twigs, around here they will stand straight up on their hind legs to get the leaves off of the trees,
nice video, lovely goats , good luck .
What I learned.
Goats scream.
Your goats should go well with the sheep …you look so happy…❤

I love this ! 😍❤🦊
I love your farm, Vanessa, and your baby goats are precious. I have had goats most of my adult life, and can tell you they are very smart and fun and easy to fall in love with. I've had dairy h c at times and wethers when I just wanted to enjoy their company. Dairy goats earn their keep by providing milk and cheese. As far as other animals you might consider are guinea hens. I've never had them, and am told they're very noisy....BUT they love to eat ticks, which is a huge plus. Your little farm has lots of character. Thanks for showing us around. Sending love your way.🌱🌻🥀.
Sorry for the mixed up letters in line 2. My laptop has a mind of its own....lol.
🙋🏼♂️🇺🇸 My friend in New Mexico, USA 🇺🇸 has goats. . . She has lots of land but not much money 😵💫🤷🏼♀️ so she can’t isolate the goats & the goats destroy everything they can. . They get into vehicles sometimes & totally destroy the vehicles which they get into so my friend has to buy old cheap vehicles 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
To make those A-frame dryers last longer, try charing them. Just the outside surfaces. They will last longer from weathering and protects the inner wood from termites and other bugs. There's a Japanese term for it, but it's evading me at the moment.
You asked what kind of other animals you could have , my suggestion is a worm farm, some special worms are in demand
You will need to ask professor google for advice, they can be a source of income and I am sure that all your other animal's
Will get along with your worms, ps they don't eat much but they might need some care in winter. Something for you to consider
Take care Rusty 😇🦘🦘
